Enjoyable review and appreciate your channel covering games like these. Will say though as someone who has sunk countless hours into Satisfactory, I don't see your comparison. Just because it is in a first person view in a 3d environment doesn't mean they are similar. To me this looks like their influences are Factorio and Subnautica. Gameplay is straight ripping off Factorio with their inserters, and the emphasis on exploring and scanning to unlock research screams Subnautica. As someone who also loves and put a ton of hours into Subnautica, this is what had me keeping an eye on this game, kinda Subnautica with beefed up building mechanics and logistics, but shame it seems like it needs more time in the oven. Hopefully on full release they are able to improve some of the issues.
While I agree with your critiques about Techtonica, I think your rating was extremely harsh and unfair.. I find it hard to imagine you did not play for more than 30h to play through the story when your scoring criteria is 1 hour played for every $1 spent.
I'm new to the factory genre and have over 127 hours in this game, for me it is well worth the money. I will be starting a new game since it has updated.
