    One minute and 18 seconds into rolling with a brown belt Professor Machado has the presence, awareness and grace to say "Thank you" and "nice to meet you" to what I presume was a new student. There is so much revealed about how amazing he is in that simple exchange...

      nothing beats rolling with your instructor and he starts talking to someone else while you're trying your hardest to pass his guard.🤣 we've all been there

    A brown belt is absolutely no joke and JJM just dissipates all that effort into something he can flow with and in some cases it almost looks like he's waiting for the move to complete so he can take what he knew was going to become available seconds before he takes it.

    You know, I like that this Brown actually seems to be trying to best JJ. I hate when the “students” don’t try hard enough to give the Sensei his due.

    Always good to roll with your students. I think jiu jitsu is an art that needs to be practised especially by the coaches. I dont trust a coach that NEVER rolls with his students.

    This guy was really going after the old master. I'm impressed how JJM kept cool the whole time. He could have broke that guy's arm but let it go.

    • @vibovitold
      @vibovitold Год назад +4

      seriously? i don't see him as particularly aggressive - just persistent.
      and anyhow, that's kind of the point of a sparring.
      JJM is not someone you need to babysit on a mat.
      although if it strikes you as impressive when people let go of their partner's arm rather than break it out of spite in a sparring, explaining this to you may be futile

    This is how elite black belts roll. They will give you mount, give you side mount…and work out of this disadvantage and end up tapping you 2 or 3 minutes later.
    If your black belt instructor doesn’t roll like this, maybe try another school
