    The house is so beautiful. Very light and airy and comfy environment. It would also be nice if you had a wall map made out of the photos of your travels.

    My parents charge a quarter for any light left on. If no one owned who left the light on all of us kids where charged a quarter. I’m over 40 and to this day I don’t live lights on.

      What's the point of turning off lights these days unless you're trying to sleep or out for the day? I have LED bulbs in most of my lights & two lights w/ fluorescent lights (which take more energy to turn off and on repeatedly during the day than they do to leave them on). The combined savings for the LED bulbs if I turned them off whenever I wasn't using them would be minuscule and offset by turning them off and on repeatedly during the day. Now, if I'm going to be out for at least a few hours then I'll turn them off remotely but otherwise what's the point? What I would love to turn off are my energy-guzzling 30 year old fridge and my 40 year old always on pilots gas stove but I can't turn them off unless I'm replacing them with something so expensive that I'll never recoup any cost savings.

    • @kat369-mine
      @kat369-mine 6 лет назад +5

      I agree about the on and off. The lights I've left on haven't burned out in 3 years. The lights that get turned on and off, are always burning up.

    • @lolalover24212
      @lolalover24212 6 лет назад +3

      Lights barely take up any hydro, especially if you have efficient lights. The things that are gonna rack their bill up are the double dishwashers, the two ovens, the huge fridge, air conditioner and the washer and dryer that will almost certainly be constantly running. Turning the lights off might save them a few dollars at the end of the bill and might INCREASE it if they’re constantly turning them off and on which takes up more energy due to the activation energy required to ignite a response. Personally I don’t leave lights on cause I was trained not to, but my grandmother actually leaves her tv on loud and lights on constantly because she lives in a condo and her dog gets nervous when it’s quiet and she can hear the people in the hallway, her bill never changes by much if anything

    Wow, that home is massive! I absolutely love it. It's open but still divided. It's so bright and airy. It really does seem like it was made for a large family. I love those older homes with all the fireplaces. Even if they're never used, they bring a charming, cozy feeling. I see why it's your dream home.

You said you can see yourself there for a long time, I was thinking just imagine once your kids are grown and having kids. You'll have plenty of room for everyone to come home for the holidays and be totally comfortable. Congrats to you both!!

    I suspect all of your travel and many AirBnBs helped you to identify all of the things that you love and need in a house. It has positioned you to recognize your dream home! This reminds me of the flow and spaciousness of your place in Morocco. Happy house!

  • @ZangLussuria
    @ZangLussuria 6 лет назад

    I love the place. Also that the mud room is with the washer/dryer and there's a full bath near it. We do a lot of sports and activities and having a place to drop off dirty clothes and gear and take a shower before going through the main part of the house is very convenient. Especially so with all the kids you have running around. It gets muddy really quick.

      Also wanna add that being somewhere where the kids can hang out with neighbors makes me so happy. I’m 16 and my best friend lives on my street, I know everyone on my street and my little brothers have their friends here too. It’s really fun to be able to walk outside to a friends house.

    Your house is brilliant and the layout is so spacious and sane. The views are stunning ...wow. I totally love your kitchen....cannot fault it...everything and then some. The best part of the whole place is everyone has room to breathe and be. Your basement is incredible....music music music. You can do so many things....dancing, singing ,art, sewing ,media...the list goes on...Your upstairs loft would make a great writing room for your budding authors. You will make it wonderful with your presence...warm and welcoming with your love...it is as though the house was built just for Knorpp family....and so say all of us. Blessings on your home...blessings on the Knorpps...blessings on us all. Shalom.

    I love split level homes! Your home is wonderful. I love all the space and different areas. Like you said, it's good to have a place where the kids can just go off on their own. I agree that keeping it pretty open (not a lot of furniture) is the right choice. I used to move a lot and loved the simplicity of it. I'm moving again after three years in the same place and having things packed up feels so good. I'm definitely working on downsizing what I own. It'll work out well for you since you plan to travel still. You won't need quite as much as a family who is home 24/7.

    My husband and i are restoring a1500 sq ft. Ranch house with 1500 sq ft walkout basement. We are getting along in years so having all our necessities on the same floor is a blessing to us. And our neighbors are great people.

    What a beautifully designed house, and so obviously the answer to prayer! Its as if it was custom designed just for your family, its amazing, even though you filmed it for us before, it seems so much more expansive than I realised. And the fact that its so open and light yet offers lots of privacy is incredible! The kitchen.......the master suite.....God is truly amazing! So happy for you guys!

    Love the new house! Thank you for the tour. Having all those windows letting in the light makes it so cheerful! Take your time decorating and furnishing the house. I'm sure it seams overwhelming and as if everything needs to get done quickly, but really you already have the essentials. Glad to hear the neighbors have been so welcoming! I would have loved to have seen their reactions though to finding out how big of a family was moving in!

    I would turn the loft into a homeschool room personally. It's separated but also I could keep an eye on little ones playing in the family room. Love the new house! We haven't found our dream house yet. We are in a nice house. It works. But it's not "THE HOUSE". The issue I'm having is the longer we live here the more work we realize needs done. After the work is done though it will be a pretty nice place to stay in for a while.

    This house is truly a dream house, perfect fit for you and the kids. Sounds like a good neighborhood. I like that there is a lot of room for you all to have space depending on your interest at that moment. You can get away for concentration needs. Or do art, play games, study, work from home, converse on a phone, etc. That guest room downstairs could make into a media room due to it's darkness. A guest might feel too confined without windows or outside air. We've installed light switches that are motion controlled. Here, it's in our service porch/laundry room. But you could use them in bathrooms where people forget to turn off lights. Do you know if the builder knows his (or her) creation is on YT? Bet that would be great for them to see people loving the home. How many cars can you garage? Hope you have lots of parking. Looks like a good home to accommodate big gatherings. How do you think you'll decorate at Christmas? Those front windows will be great to display your tree. Just keep your presents out of sight from outside. You are going to have so much fun! And this makes coming home from your trips not so sad, because you're coming home to this beauty. So very happy for you!!!

    I feel your bedroom should be on the wall without windows and where the bed is could be a home office space. Getting the right drapes for day/night would allow you to benefit from the view especially when it’s sunny or slight snowfall. The fireplace area is great too! Easy to design a quiet space for TV, reading or relaxation.

Light, airy, nice for entertaining. The summer kitchen is always nice for hot days. The view from your bedroom is breathtaking. Love it! Especially the basement! We don't have basements in Scotland, and I'm very envious. Lang may yer lum reek!

    Seeing Meghan in a woolly cap, and long sleeves made me shudder/rethink/jealous... It was 97 degrees here today. The house looks like a dream got for the family, but a huge departure from the minimalist life before. Enjoy feathering your new nest, Knorpps!

    It’s beautiful. So calming and put together on its own. I would never need that much space (ask me again when my kids are teenagers, I also help with nieces and nephews) but absolutely perfect from my perspective.

    Absolutely gorgeous and so huge. I’d love that beautiful big basement to have a home theatre and craftroom. Can’t wait to see you put furniture in.

    It's sooooo nice. I can't wait to see it furnished! I bet it feels wonderful to have a "home base".
