ABANDONED Plantation House with EVERYTHING Left Behind | Owner Buried in the Front Yard

- Today we venture to the south to explore an abandoned plantation home that was built in 1850 by slaves. The man that once lived here used the property to farm tobacco for many years. He had 12 children while living in the plantation with 8 of them coming from his 3rd wife. The 2 other women he married both passed away within 10 years of being married to the man. This property was once on 16000 acres of land with multiple sheds, and slave quarters that ultimately were destroyed throughout the years. The man passed away in 1907 and was buried on the property along with 2 of his children that passed away before him. Over the years the plantation was passed down in the family and due to the way it was built along with an earthquake and heavy storms from hurricanes the home became uninhabitable and has sat abandoned ever since with everything still inside. So join me today and let’s see what’s left.

Let this be a reminder that material things are temporary, but once we pass away we will all be judged on the state of our hearts and what we did in this world. Treat others with kindness.
No one is going to be judged, religion is a money making scam! The woman shall remain shall remain silent.
Jesus saves.
I always want to just cry when I see such vintage and antique furniture just left to rot. I'll never understand why people leave so many beautiful things behind.
I feel the same! If it was just left why can’t someone come in and give this beautiful stuff a mew life where it eill be appreciated
I think that all this beautiful pieces of material stuff may very well be possessed with negative, bad energies because of dark past events!...
Those deep pink flowers are called Azaleas, they are so beautiful used in the South 😊❤❤❤
I live in Norfolk, VA where every year they have The Azalea Festival. I have three azaleas that have been here since I bought the place 14 years ago. They must live a long time.
From what I have seen on gardening pages, those azeleas are well over a hundred years old.
Wrong they look like crape myrtles
I couldn't imagine just leaving all the antique furniture and stuff there to rot.
I know it just breaks my heart😮😮😮😮😮
I wonder if taking those things would be against the law at the time and then it just was too far gone by the time no one owned it…
It amazes me how a house can decay without love
Happens to humans too without love they decay
It begins to dry rot
The piece of furniture there @5:03 is called a 'wardrobe'. Some call it a chiffonier. It is a closet before the time of closets. Taxes on houses many years ago counted closets as rooms, and the # of rooms increased the amount of tax. So they didn't do closets. They didn't really need them like we do these days, with so much stuff. They had few belongings, and a wardrobe was often enough for the clothes they wanted to store hanging up. A 'chiffonier' is also a piece of furniture you may see in the dining room, some call it a side board. In that case, it looks like a higher dresser, possibly with shelves on top to display decorative plates or other dining room items. and the lower part stores dining room linens, napkins, table cloths, the like, possibly silverware, serving dishes, and table settings. Just for your FYI. Old people, huh!
All those beautiful antiques. i want to rescue them all. So sad but still lovely
This very historic sn kinda sad to see this house in disrepair adventure Big bankz ,thank you. For taking all us along an congratulations on your engagement
That vanity mirror is amazing
Comfortable living room & bedroom.Would love to have one of those old metal frame beds & small childs chair❤
What struck me was in the living room, the chair in the corner had an open book over the arm of the chair. Like the person stopped reading and left. Wonder what the title of the book was. Good job. Beautiful home.
Amazing house, But it's sad to see a house left behind and it breaks my heart, but I'm sure those lovely people never thought that their lovely house would be left behind.
You sound crazy those were not lovely people how are those monsters considered lovely people for what they did in that house while owning slaves !
@@stylish1012 They aint own no slaves bruh. Not every plantation had slaves.
@@raidergainzx5290”built by slaves” so yeah they had slaves
@@stylish1012Just stop!
❤❤❤❤❤ houses in the south!!!!
Big rooms, Kitchen.
Misses my southern home!!!
All old buildings have a good and sad history. The house and furniture are amazing; it's a pity no one wants to fix it up. In the culture today a person would be called all kinds of names for just wanting to do anything good to the place. The handwriting is a picture in itself. We have lost so much over the years.
Sometimes I feel when a house has been handed down through the generations, I believe that people leave some things behind for the next generation to be able to enjoy. But it just so happens that circumstances hit peoples lives and things end up abandoned for some reason or another. None the less, I can't believe that some people honestly don't take some of this old furniture and try and refurbish it instead of letting it sit and rot. It's so sad because furniture today is not as well made and doesn't have the character that it did in times past. Thank you Big Bankz for all you do, and congratulations on your engagement.
Thank you as Always, Very Much Appreciate You 🙏
Dark in history
So sad, even in her demise she still shines. Thankyou for sharing this lovely home.
My favorite part is the fact that it is in "The Middle Of Nowhere" !!! . . a beautiful home - at one time
Beautiful house Bankz, wow! Great example of a Time Capsule indeed. The table is a train table. My nephews had one when they were younger. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Shame that this old house was left to decay
Some beautiful things still there
Thank you for sharing and take care
See you in next video
❤❤❤❤
I agree; the house and furniture are beautiful! Sad that it's been forgotten and beginning to cave in. I'm always interested in the kitchens. Thank you for an amazing tour! 😊

Hi Big Bankz, I love your videos and look forward to them every week. Watching your videos has become a part of my Saturday night routine. Thanks for making them. Keep up the good work!
My 5 year old son was quietly walking around house with flashlight, I asked him what he was doing. He said ‘shhh I’m big bankz and I’m exploring this abandoned house!’

That was the same design home that my grandfather built in a small town in SW Virginia. I spend many happy days in the swing trying to sing. Lol
It's a beautiful house and to see all the old furniture still intact is wonderful, just so sad it wasn't kept up. thank you for sharing I enjoyed the video.
Thank you Big Bankz. I always enjoy your explores.
The land is beautiful. A treat to have you show us.
I feel for that house. It was certainly quite lovely in its day. It appears to have given ups ghost as well when its owners had past.
I lastly appreciate your judgement where to step and not.
Thank you for your style, choice, and. .
What a beautiful home! I sure hate to see it abandoned with thing’s left behind ! Very cool video bro! ❤️🤘😢👍

Gorgeous house❤ I love the old plantation homes
I’m amazed how do you find these houses?? So many are out in nowhere land. You do such a great job describing what you see. It’s so hard to believe everything was left like that. Thanks!
Luv that you start off with scripture. You have a very soothing voice Hope all is well.I think the flowers that are pink are azalea
bushes outside.
0:02 I always love to look at the trees to see if there are any which may have been there when the house was built.
Wow, some nice antiques.
Those are probably heart of pine floors and they are worth salvaging. I didn't get a good look at them. Some nice antiques, iron beds and crystal.
Hi from Canada 🇨🇦 Thanks for the interesting Video.
You can tell that there was a lot of family living there at one time. The one bedroom must have been an elderly man's bedroom. There were at least six chairs in that room that were set up like they were visiting him. I love the iron beds! It makes me sad because it looks like they left at Christmastime.
That geeen couch was dope. Would love to see it restored. Also loved the cat ironing board. 😸
Thanks! That was a great exploration!
Very beautiful and thank you for sharing this beautiful history with us take care 😊had a horse as well loved the master room as well 😊
This living room gives off peaceful feeling
That place is more than likely haunted. Beautiful home with such an ugly history.
@candice446 How u know tho? U assuming they owned slaves. Many had plantations and did not own slaves. Dont let that narrative the left push all day keep you on the mental plantation. They bring it up every election cycle yet never pass any policy to help black folks. Only make the portion of our community in poverty, stay in poverty. Also dont forget why the republican party was formed, to end slavery.
@@candice446There's nothing ugly about it.
There is nothing "Gorgeous " about this house. It is dilapidated and gone.Im sure at one time it was beautiful.
Wow that furniture is gorgeous! I can't believe it was just left there! I would love to buy the quilt & one of those beds ❤
Also, those old dishes & cookware man I love that kinda stuff! Back when things were made to last.
Hi BigBankz 🙋🏽. I almost missed this one. It's good to see you. I hope your Son is doing well.👍🏽👊🏽💯
Hi what beautiful home how sad see it all the memories faded away 😢
Thanks that was awesome house i like the living room
I hope someone rescues the antiques before the house completely caves in
thank u for this video i needed this today
The Hoosier cabinet in the kitchen is awesome.
That 1st bedroom is like someone comes and stays! . Its like creepy . The last bedroom is cool too! Great video! ❤
Thank you for sharing this video i like to watch you no music i the background and your so calm i like the way you explain things 👍👍👍🥰
Awesome thank you
Hi. I like your videos and you are awesome big bankz
Yes very incredible so sad it was left to rot
I noticed some beautiful handmade quilts!!
That's what drew me too. You'd think a family member would have rescued them - I've rescued several old quilts that I display.
@@patriciaphelps5875 so much time and hard work went into them. My grandma used to talk about how the ladies would get together and work on them. So much history in each one.
WOWWWWW amazinggggggggg i love old houses and this was the perfect place to have the perfect place the fields i love it thanks Big banks yu rock
That man must have been a brute to his wife's
The first two passed away before he did !
And than on to his third wife, who he gave eightt kids to.
He must have been extremely rough on his women. Smh
Nice video and thankyou for sharing !
And also Congratulations to you on your engagement !
Hopefully you will be content and loved, 💍💒 we love what you do and sharing it,
thankyou so much !
Parts of it really are a mess, but it looks like it has been lived in within the past few years
Sad that all those dishes and furniture can't be taken and reused. It's history!
Love all that left behind antique furniture!
I paused the video and did my best to read the cursive in the binder (2nd page): "Teach music for use in life. Has music any effect on moral character. This becomes a moral force by what we do with it. Like any other moral influences a force for good. One can do more important things with superior music than inferior. There is a need that people learn to enjoy better music and have a wealth of it." You were doing well with the part you read. Interesting thoughts - written by a music teacher? That upstairs bedroom was very sweet & light.
TY for your videos. 🙏💖✨😇
I will never advocate taking something out of an abandoned house. The notebook with cursive writing would be coming with me. I would bring it to a historian. There has to be history in that home and it is in that book.
Love the house. The table with tracks in kitchen looks like Thomas the Train set. The sets are really cool for kids. Beautiful grounds outside too
Surprisingly there wasn't a main staircase. Nice video❤😊
Loving those beds! ❤
I love that living room
Very beautiful like you said it is a beautiful time cancel
Love this one😊
Man that furniture needs rescuing .I understand the history and why you wouldn’t want to save it but the furniture my goodness
Amazing 😍❤❤❤❤
Upstairs in the house you can see elements of newer stuff, like those bi-fold doors to the closet. In the bathroom the light fixture over the sink looks 60’s.
Reminds me off Grandma house in Virginia
Great video.
Gorgeous azaelas! ❤
It’s too bad the legacy of the property is tragic for the slaves and others. Beautiful but haunting place.
This whole entire time I’ve been following you I never paid attention that your from Oklahoma?! lol
Re 'Owner buried in the front yard' & heard 2 of children also buried, no showing of stones?
Nice, B!
Gorgeous
That’s not gorgeous that’s Horror
Omg the houser cabinet !
Sorry, but not matching beds and one bed has an afghan and one has a quilt. Beautiful antique furniture. Sad to see it abandon.
those beautiful "pink flowers" are azaelas. !!! I enjoy your videos. They are all interesting.
Proverbs is my favorite book of the old testament
Suck on it, Timothy rules
Wow! Singer sewing and that organ! Grandma couch . lol 😝
nice pearls
Somebody needs to save that blue quilt. That bean table is worth some bucks
How sad that he looks like they just had to up n leave with nothing 😢
Those chennel bedspreads are worth a lot of money these days 😢
That book of writing appears to be someone's notes on music.....maybe for school or a teacher's notes for teaching music class. 😊
What state is this located in? Thanks for another great video.
Hiya!
Hey I used to have a horse on springs! I recall having a lot in f fun on it. Funny memory
so sad BigBankz to see a lovely place go to ruins.
Someone has to own these places. Who pays taxes on them? I love this place, so very sad to see it in ruins.
Those pictures of the family look like they were taken in the 60s!
That green table is a Brio train set, and those are the train tracks.
