I just got the Mavic 2 zoom for X-mas and have watched about a dozen videos on learning it. You were THE BEST at explaining everything and showing where on the screen to access the controls for adjusting things. Had to tell you great job.

Your going to Love the Zoom. It zooms in more on 1080, and when you get home put it on the big screen and watch it.

Excellent run-down of all of the myriads of settings! Thanks. Since I’m new to drones, and since my Zoom arrived this morning, I’ll probably use your video make checklists in my iPhone. For example, to make sure all of the collision-avoidance sensors are turned on, the cameras are at highest possible resolution, auto-white-balance, and so forth. Don’t want to accidentally get it into some wacky mode and compromise my photos, or even worse, crash the drone!

h265 is also 10bit vs h264 8bit so you get more dynamic range (white to black, highlights to shadows). In 2020, h265 is the way to go.

I always wondered what the zebra stripes were when I saw them in your video. Now I know. Very informative video on all the controls and helpful. I know I only have the P3S but don't know all the settings and controls on it. I should start checking it out on mine. DroneXfactor... would you recommend this drone to a person that is not a professional and is coming from the Spark(which has never failed me once) but that wants to get into something more? The Spark although for me has been great but as soon as I get to something interesting I have to bring her home to change the battery(I carry four)... I want to move up and was going to select the Mavic Air but I hear so many bad things about it with connectivity issues but is a feature rich drone does the Mavic Zoom have the same features? Have been searching for the best deals on the Mavic Zoom with the fly more combo so anyone know of any good prices I always shop at BestBuy and they always match the price. Also wanted to say that I subscribed 2 days ago and have almost finished watching all your Drone related videos and they all are fantastically done.... Two thumbs up.... great job. And thanks for the time you put into them as well...
Hi Dave, i definitely recommend Mavic 2 zoom, also Mavic Pro or Autel Evo, all great Drones.

Hey droneXfactor any thoughts on the DJI - Mavic 2 Pro Quadcopter with DJI Smart Controller combo? Do you have the Smart Conroller?
Hi Dave, I don't have the smart controller because it just doesn't have the range like the standard controller & I fly in areas with lots of interference.
The screen is very bright, so if you're not big on range and signal quality, go right ahead.

Yes but the drone won't go for miles without the app conned.......ie: range is limited.

How do I calibrate the sensors
Very good video.... BUT Your intro is way too long. I actually participated in a study last year which shows that the majority of viewers will decide if they're going to continue watching your video or go elsewhere within the first 5 seconds. If I recall it was about 82% chose to go elsewhere if they didn't see what they're looking for after the first 5 seconds. Long intros are bad for viewership. Just a little tip to help your channel to grow.

U dont have to u fold the props, it does that automatically when the props start up
It’s advisable to always unfold them. That’s reduces stresses experienced by the motors due to unbalanced props.
@@tdmap2241 how can it be unbalanced, it takes a fraction of a second for them to be thrown open by inertia.
I don't unfold on the original mavic pro but the mavic 2's don't turn on smooth with the props folded & sometimes the drone jumps when I turn it on with the props folded :(
Original Mavic pro did a much better job powering on with the props folded.

Boycott DJI until they stop forcing updates on us, stop forcing us to fly our drones by their rules, and start putting their efforts into better customer service, a better controller app, and a better product. Don't treat us like communists and little children. We should all demand respect from a company that takes our money and then grounds our drones with their stupid rules. What I do with my drone is between me, the local authorities, and the FAA. DJI has nothing to say about that as long as I don't buy into their condescension. Buy any other drone you like, stay away from DJI. Once they have your money, you are under their thumbs and no support for your purchase..
There's always Autel Evo, although it's only a matter of time before every company will have to do the same :(
I’m not defending DJI, but all they are doing is CYA. We live in a country where everything seems to be restricted or regulated. From plastic bags to soda drinks to whatever the elite establishment feels like regulating the restrictions grow by the day. The rules and restrictions on Drones are ridiculous and unfounded. It’s not DJI, it’s us.😕 (as in U.S.)
