People who talk about Joffrey spoiling her, I think of it as they wanted us to know on purpose. Plus you'd have to dig deep on purpose to spoil it for yourself anyway unless you just happened to remember it
She matches the character marvelously. You obviously prefer a softer, more feminine beauty. Rhaenyra has to come across as though she's as fierce as a man so she's not going to opt for feminine. Her weight gain after kids in the books is also another wedge between her and Alicent who always kept a small figure. Since show runners ditched that I expect Alicent will be dressed nicer and given the more feminine beauty
I only wish they had the purple eyes but i understand why they didn’t opt to add contact’s cause of the actors eyes and harming them and maybe looking a little weird if it isn’t done properly.
People keep judging Alicent for being an idealist when really she’s being a realist. People don’t understand that since her father manipulated her to bare the king’s children, she has been left with one choice. Get her son on the iron throne once the king dies, or her and all her family will be killed by Rhaenyra, otherwise, the people will never accept her as queen. Alicent is just trying to save her house and children. This is why she’s my favourite character, because at the moment, she’s the only one playing the game. edit: the only reason Rhaenyra offered Alicent the deal is because of what happened with Cole, the legitimacy of her own children was beginning to fade.
In the books, yeah believable, in the show? No way. Before Alicent began her plotting and whole "stepdaughter" power play, I don't think it even crossed Rhaenyras mind to kill her half-siblings. Even now, I doubt she would do it on her own accord. It's a self fulfilling prophecy, Alicent is constantly telling everyone who wants to hear it that Aegon should be on the throne and that Rhaenyra would kill them if she were to become Queen, so eventually they just crown Aegon and the dance of the dragons begins. If Alicent stayed civil for the past 10 years, I'm sure the time after Viseryses death would have looked different.
Alicent has been manipulated by her father into believing that her children are at risk. Just like she was manipulated into marrying Viserys. She isn’t playing the game. She has been played.
Not at all...If her aim is safety of her children, why did she ignored Rhaenyra's proposal..She's just a B who thinks she's on the higher moral ground and everyone else is tormenting her. She's passing her wickedness and anger to her kids...

And if it wasn't for Sir Cole ratting her out, Alicent would've still been on her side. The biggest proof of how loved she was in court, was Alicent defending her to the king knowing her dad would get fired for it. She truly trusted Rhaenyra's words and cared about her.

She seems less cut throat to me. The younger Rhaenyra would have never stood up and offered that peace deal with Alicent. As a young girl she was horrified by the idea of becoming a mother too, and now she seems to love her children above all else. She’s become tamer and wiser.

I watch episode reviews that at least point out some of the characters from the books and explain relationships a bit, which helps me understand and feel more for these characters. I forgot she even knew how to ride a dragon…………….
This is why she’s my favourite character, because at the moment, she’s the only one playing the game.
edit: the only reason Rhaenyra offered Alicent the deal is because of what happened with Cole, the legitimacy of her own children was beginning to fade.
nah king made his choice. you follow it as queen
Your bias is showing.
Not at all...If her aim is safety of her children, why did she ignored Rhaenyra's proposal..She's just a B who thinks she's on the higher moral ground and everyone else is tormenting her. She's passing her wickedness and anger to her kids...
