Iron Spider Think about the gas you spend going store to store looking for figures. Suddenly paying $32 for one figure seems reasonable. Me, I got lucky finding the entire Cull Obsidian Wave at one time at my local Wal-Mart thay I already go to every day on my way home from work.
Great review man!! Looking forward to getting this Thor. From the other reviews I have seen on this fig the issue is not that people are getting getting this fig with the same color eyes, it's that the prosthetic eye is the wrong color. While the eyes are cleary different colors on your fig and the others I have seen in pictures and reviews, it's that the prosthetic eyes is supposed to be brown and not that lighter color it is on the fig. Personally I don't think it really bothers me, but I just wanted to point out that is the issue I have been hearing around the net.
My one problem with Hasbro MCU figures is that they're just to impatient! Infinity war is the biggest movie of all time, we would've waited for more accurate sculpts. Hell I'd still buy an accurate batroc the leaper from winter soldier if they put one out. Instead, becuase they base it off bad concept art we get some Thor's have different colored eyes and some not. (Not to mention how horrible nomad cap and thanos look from the last wave. ) even cull Obsidian is a cool looking fig but looks very difrent from the movie. They can make got movie figs they just need to stop rushing. I'd buy a black panther wave now even though the movie came out in Feb. But instead we get that weird one the put out to try to beat the movie, and I skipped it. This guys good enough though. And as always great review bro
TheBd62 I agree with you man, Hasbro wants to always rush out these movie figs and the result is we get inaccuracies. It does seem they go off concept art of these characters but I don't think all the concept art they reference is necessarily "bad" as you put it and it is subject to opinion. But I do get what you are saying, we would rather wait a little longer and get accurate figs. As far as that horrible Captain America head sculpt we got, I don't think that monstrosity had anything to do with going off concept art, lol. It just plained sucked and they can never seem to get Steve Rogers/Chris Evans head sculpt right. It was so bad I ordered a custom head sculpt that is so much better, you can check it out on my IG account (figlok).
I don't think it's so much as rushing, as they're trying to coincide with the movie. It make zero sense to release Black Panther figs when Infinity War is in the theater, or Antman figs when Deadpool is etc etc.Production is a process and with the way collectors whine about new sculpts, accessories etc. I have to commend them for at least trying to be prompt. Question, from the places I go, almost EVERYONE is on Mezco's balls, but where is that Gladiator Hulk? Aside from Thor, who else are they making, Loki? Hela? Valkyrie? anyone? From my understanding that's it, and those two won't even start coming out until next year, by then Captain Marvel along with several other movies would already be on DVD, with the hype for figures of said movie beyond done.I do feel if it's voiced loud enough that they should redo certain sculpts and include them in a 2 pack or future wave.

figlok yeah worth grabbing. I think Black Knight might give him a run for his money as the best figure in the wave... Time will tell.
