@@wonghenry8731 "Technically, Shadowfall can be considerd Shadow rush with Whirlwind Slash follow-up." That's not what anyone is talking about. It's not even the same as having those two arts equipped, because I can't freely do Whirlwind Slash.
Night jar slash is very underrated move. The move helps getting that quick attack after a barrage of parrys or when a boss whiffs attacks. The reversal however is a hit or miss. I dont like how it takes a bit to back up. But occasionally I do use it to retreat. Not to mention the move doesint cost your spirits
the problem about these combat art that they looks so cool until you face someone have higher poise than u, won't use it even if its free emblem, for me it's useless I only use double ichimonji cause of posture recovery, also shadowfall for dying enemies.
I dont think so, i always used skills agaist bosses, like, you can spam praying strikes(exorcism) on any boss or enemy that get flinched, and also u can use this right after a parry, i also use a lot shadowrush, shadowfall, one mind, spiral cloud passage, they are all really op if you know when to use it, because they inflict a lot of posture damage, and vitality damage.
But, everthing depends on the npc/boss you are facing, like, spiral cloud passage isnt so good against Guardian Ape, but u can still usr it after he get stunned if you switch it on the pause menu
That is because you lack the proper skills and don't know how to use them. I checked Ong Bal videos everyday, he used skills against bosses....a lot. Maybe not all of the skills in this video, but he did use them. He even used ShadowFall on Owl and won.
@@last-shinobi-of-the-oboro-clan "That is because you lack the proper skills and don't know how to use them. In fact, the point is that what he's pulling off is hard, like beating Ninja Gaiden Black with only the un-upgraded wooden sword. Unfortunately I haven't found one yet. Imo it needs a serious buff like many of the combat arts that cost spirit emblems. Look cool af but that's about it.
Were any of these useful during specific boss fights? I ask because I never used any weapon arts in DS3 during boss fights. Weapon arts were used almost exclusively for pvp. But there is no pvp in this game so... were you able to use these moves effectively against bosses in Sekiro?
Shadowrush/fall is cancer, ichimoji is good with timing and for posture recovery, mortal draw for high dmg and its unblockable but require perfect timing
Everyday I grief for all ashes of war these could have become in Elden Ring (seriously, why High Monk is not a ash of war for fist weapons?) in exchange for 42 Putrid Avatars and 57 Godskins.

So you can use your ninjutsu on them in the middle of a fight. See a tough enemy getting close to you? Vault over the guy you defeated and use bloodsmoke to hide and backstab the tough enemy. Need an ally in a group fight? Vault over and use puppeteer on your defeated foe. Just want more damage? Vault over and use bestowal.
