As a Roma fan this was so heartbreaking because we came so close to achieving so many things that year. We ended up only winning the Coppa Italia, but great game from Both sides. Love arsenal after Roma 💪

Remember when Nasri was an exciting player? He carried us for a short time before he got too big for his boots and became dead weight everywhere else he went
He wasn't dead weight at City, he was decent for a few seasons, let's not forget he won 2 PL titles.

@dlaldlaldla nutsntnstn He was at least an ok player at Man City, other Man City players did far more obviously because they were much better players but he won 2 league titles, at the highest level football is about winning the biggest trophies.
The first goal pretty much summed up the state of Arsenal's defence since the move to the Emirates and the scary thing is that not much has changed since in those 11 years.
I mean, look at how the entire back line just allowed the ball to run across the 20 yard line like that without a single player reacting to it. Almunia should also have had that, it wasn't exactly roofed into the back of the net.
Unbelievably bad defending, should never have gone to penalties in the first place, you can just tell by the overzealous celebrations of the goal by Roma, it's like they were scoring against Real Madrid or something and couldn't believe the gift they were given.
The funny thing is, Arsenal scored a majority of their penalties in the same side of the goal, that's risky, but it worked.
The funny thing is Real Madrid were awful in the last 16 around that time (they were smashed 5-0 by Liverpool the same season as this video) and Roma had just beaten Real 4-2 the previous season in the last 16 as well, so Roma probably wouldn't have celebrated all that much if they scored vs Real actually.
This was the first or 2nd season of arsenals decline, they’d been an English and European powerhouse the past decade before this in being the only English team rivaling man United and also beating Madrid at the bernabeu, reaching the Ucl final against ronaldinho Barcelona and knocking out prime ac Milan of the ucl in their own stadium the San Siro

If you want to have a conversation about it, I think you've at least got to be getting to the semi final consistently.
