Your videos are so informative. Thank you for taking the time to make these. Two questions for you. My first questions is, is the included xlr cable long enough to run through the wire runs in the rode psa or should I order a longer cable. Secondly, If I have the nova pro wired, do they plug into the microphone base as well?
Hey I own an Arctis Nova Pro and just bought and got the Alias Pro today. I connected a 3.5mm jack to the arctis base but theres a delay with the sidetone. Is there a fix for this?
It seems like a good mic, but there are a lot of plosives, I was thinking getting this one, but I may get better the Rodemic USB, MV7, 2nd hand SM7b with a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 gen 3 or gen 4, but the software seems really impresive Anyway, great video;)
Yep. Plosives are atrocious with this mic. It essentially has NO pop filter (the fabric does nothing to block wind noise). And because of the way it's built that's just inexcusable. No one wants to slide a windscreen over this and completely ruin the look - baffles my mind why SteelSeries didn't just put a decent built in pop filter on this thing. It's so disappointing. It was so bad in my testing that it was picking up wind noise from my overhead ceiling fan. Literally NO other mic I've ever used have ever had this issue. If I sound frustrated it's because I was - lol. I really wanted to like this mic because I've been using SteelSeries GG software for over a year and it's amazing. I wanted to couple that with their new mic and had high expectations. Unfortunately, the plosives killed this mic for me. It does have some other really cool features but the sensititivity to wind noise just ruins it, imo.
