- Fasten your seatbelt and listen to the sound of James Last orchestra playing the song Exodus. Recorded live from german radio 1976.
This version is 10 minutes (!), and has not been released on LP or CD.
In the middle of the song there is a drum/percussion solo lasting about 4 minutes.
The pictures are from James Last concerts in recent years, which means that the musicians you can hear are mainly not the ones you see on the pictures.

Ein Sound der unvergleichbar ist! In wenigen Minuten wäre mein bzw. unser Freund Hansi 89 Jahre alt geworden. Ich habe alle seine Konzerte seit dem Jahr 1983 besuchen können. Es ist schon beachtlich, mit wie viel Feingefühl er immer am Ball der Zeit geblieben ist! Ich liebe diese Art der Musik seit ich 6 Jahre bin. Ob es Klassik, Pop, Polka oder Rock ist. Ich hoffe sehr, dass bald die tollen - auch sehr modernen - Titel aus den letzten Live-Konzerten für uns Fans erhältlich sein werden...
Danke vielmals Herr Last für ihre wunderschoene 'Arrangements'. Meisterwerke die man nie vergisst!!!

Ferrante & Teicher did the original back in '60. It lasted awhile on the charts.
The best 10 minutes of our late James Last, Danke Hansi. Perfect n flawless percussion n rambling, guitar, drums, conga, trumpets, solid base support, simply magnificent and very good arrangement. THE BEST OF THE BEST COMPOSER FROM GERMANY. WE MISS HIM N HIS FINE MUSIC. WUNDERBAR.

It is a splendid performance. The recording is good, too. Thank you very much for your update. He performed a tour in Japan in time same as this recording, on 1975. He played this music in Japan. His arrangement is about the same. I still remember the exciting performance of Barry Reeves,Peter Hesslein,Rick Kiefer, and Herbert Bornholdt.

Wenn die Radio-Aufnahme von 1976 stammt, passen die Bilder im Video aber nicht dazu. Denn diese zeigen das aktuelle Orchester. Und die Aufnahme denke ich stammt ebenfalls nicht von 1976, sie ist neueren Datums. Trotzdem eine tolle Live-Performance!
Qué diferentes se escuchan las trompetas ejecutadas a semejante perfección y no como las ejecutan acá en México en la asquerosa música regional mexicana en música banda.
Pero es el sonido de James Last. Muy original.
