Even though it's raining.. Thailand being tropical..is lush and still warm. I love all the green of the lawns and plants..fantastic.
Fantastic vlog 🏆
I hope you did not eat that fly @ 16:15 mins 😂😋
Please keep up with the great work 👍✊🏾👍🏻🙏
This hotel room looks the most authentic Thai so far that I've seen. I'm now watching your videos on loop..haaa.
Anyone who has ever rode a bike for any period of time, has dropped one. A blinker is nothing, thankfully neither of you were hurt aside from a little pride. The room and buffet, for the price, fantastic. Very nice, especially coming of the road on a bike in the rain. Nothing like a hot meal hot shower and hell yeah a nice robe and slippers and good nights rest and sleep... Lucas you have done it again... great post, great adventure and well done show... ok all that food I need to find something to snack on lol...
104 best to drop it then it coming out from under you. ive dumped mine 3 time and worst was a grass field and i got a bruise and didn't even notice it till 3 days gone. And yes it happened in front of lots of people lol
The food looked good , until I saw that fly crawling across it 🤔😖😖😖The rest of the place is great 👍
There were also a lot of mosquitoes there, the first stop should be to the 7eleven to buy some of the repellent cream. They were some of the largest mosquitoes I'd ever seen 🤣
Horrible to see Elephants chained up
😂😂
Good trip though so far 👍
Pretty common there ...
Nice room with a good discount, internet price 1200 and over 2000 in high season.
Despite the weather Lucas, looks like you were both enjoying yourselves. I'm looking forward to the next one!
Yes, we had a good time overall. Thanks
Great place I love Koh Chang. There was a lot to do. I hit the parks, and enjoyed the nightlife. I do not have a bad word to say about the place.
Looks like the crash protection saved your bodywork in the tip over. If you didn't have the protection the damage might have been worse. The resort looks great, you'd pay a small fortune for something like that in the US.
Why did you promote the elephants? Chained at the feet restricted, that’s no way to live.
yeah can't believe that stuff is still happening around the world
That hill is lethal after getting off the ferry. We have ridden up and down it many times on 10 inch wheel, 60 year old Lambrettas! It's everyman for himself with no room for error first and second gear only 3rd gear no chance. Besides that it's our favourite place to ride too Koh Chang love it there and a great vlog mate.
hay lucas is that your girlfriend i think you told us a while ago she .was just a friend staying with you ..you sly fox lol
Looks like a great place to stay. I, m hoping when we can finally travel to Thailand again. I fancy doing some of the islands.
Elephants in Koh Chang are abused, I would recommend staying away
I think you have chosen the right time to go. No Chinese tourists you lucky man. Good luck and happy independence day
I am in pattaya this weekend. Its paradise. No crowds, no Chinese and beautiful rooftop pool to ourselves. What a day. Hope everyone is enjoying themselves.
That's a great hotel price. Right now for a superior hillside room on July 14-18 it's about 1,235 Baht without Agoda's add-ons. Papa ain't home....555. Looked like a little beetle was checking out the ham on the buffet. Them taters and beans looked good!
Rainy is fun for sleeping and eating and no fun for swimming krub.
Thanks for video. You must be a really good motorcycle rider. I lived almost a year in Patong beach back in 2004 never got on a bike too many accidents. Rode in California for a few years had a Yamaha 1100xs cafe racer with 4 in 1 compaction system, custom 4 barrel carbarateurs and bleed off the gear box, parelli racing slicks, drilled disc's back and front. Loved it was a monster, guy who built it worked for Yamaha I bought it used. Like your Kawasaki, be safe. Jeffrey Stecher Henderson Nevada
Thank you for the video. Thumbs UP👍.
OMG don't know if anyone caught the cockroach crawling on the hotel counter?! Room was nice but if I saw that checking in I'd check out. Also just saw a towel laid across the TOILET in the room? Ugh yeah this place is a pass IMHO.
Spent 2 weeks in Koh Chang when i was in Thailand....awesome island...and the main road over the mountain is crazy treacherous
That ferry looks like a sardine can death trap, HA! 900 baht for the room including breakfast for two is very good value. July, August and September are the three rainiest months in Thailand so many of the locals don't do a lot of island hopping. November through February are the best months to hit the islands. That fruit spread at the breakfast buffet looked outstanding. Oh how I miss the delicious Thai fruits. As for the fly? Lest we forget that Thailand is one big jungle. Could have been a cobra for God's sake. Great vid mi amigo. Thanks for sharing.
so you'll mate Chuck..notime2bsad at the place?
Yeah like koh chang, been quite a few times now. Got quite a few people i know who live in chi Chet I think it's called. Very beautiful place when the sun's out. Things are usually a bit dearer there. Nearly all supplies come on the ferry. Watch the roads they can be a bit treacherous. Enjoy your stay, bri and frei east Yorkshire.
Koh Chang, is my favorite island in Thailand, and favorite roads. But I never go there in the rainy season. I hope the China virus is gone soon so I can go back.
I do really like tropical rain though, after living in southern California for long times....
2 types of bikers, those that have laid bike down & those that will, the main thing, no one was injured, & bike only suffered minor damage. I have dropped a few, most embarrassing was turning around in my driveway on hill, after it rained all night, yep, foot slipped, & nothing I could do, bent a mirror stalk.
food looked good, other than fly walking around, lol.
Koh Chang is one of the Favorite destinations but Come there in december januar per febuary June is ok but some rain. I love that irland...
Great room for B900 looking forward to seeing breakfast.
Breakfast looks good but the big cockroach walking in the food shocked me
Stop in & see my friend Rich at Morgan Bar & Restaurant in Kai Bae, just next to AWA Resort!
Hi.. whats the name of the dishes you order? Specially the chicken one, i want to try next time when i'm in Thailand. Cheers
Oh dear poor bike, it's not called rainy season. I noticed it was shown as Green season for hotel bookings. As I mentioned we were there the week before this. But had a car luckily for the hills.
koh chang during rainy season is not so fun. Compared to Samet that is pretty close is a big difference
Poor sods left sun to goto rain..it happens glad ur both safe...vi is loverly.
I rode to mae hong song from rangsit on the vmax, going up the mountain is over a 1000 turns, they are some of the craziest I've been on. you do get a certificate of accomplishment from the tourist centre.
TV was pathetic, but not very often a priority for me, so i'd give it a pass. Have better things to do than watch TV in Thailand, or any other place for that matter.
Good video mate ,maybe add a Google maps might help some of us not in Thailand .The motel looks good
Be careful
I love the rain!! So glad you two weren't hurt from your mishap. That hotel looked nice. Thank you for sharing! Hi Vi👋
Very beautiful place you are having good time with V there
Spent 6 days on Koh Chang at the start of feb. Lovely place and as you say it is big and the roads between the main beach areas is very steep with tight hairpin bends and I understand how you managed to drop the bike in that heavy rain. Did 3 days at the Santhiya Tree Koh Chang Resort. Got a good deal for a pool villa otherwise it would be way out of my price range. Spent the last 3 at Paddys palm hotel. Clean basic room for £30 a night but the food from the attached pub is great and good value.
A Visit to the Mango swamp walkway was my highlight. Well worth a visit if nature is your thing.
Yeah, there was a sign at Paddy's saying they moved. Don't know how long the sign has been there though.
Glad you made it back to the ferry alive lot of accidents, deaths on the roads on koh chang had 1 on the tight bend going down to lonely beach my poor girlfriend lost a front tooth and badly injured her shoulder, so always play it safe take the sontels very safe and regular if you not experienced Ryder, the island great place white sands got the beer bars, klong prao got best beach, give kai bae a miss unless you like rude Russians, lonely beach great place to chill out, and bang beo great restaurants , can have a few holidays so easy to move around, warapura resort lonely beach is the place to chill out great rooms staff and food.
Hotel looks great for what you paid, anywhere to go for a drink nearby?
Great video, you do start to realise why wet season is low season. people tend to forget its not always easy travelling in wet season .
Have a home on koh Chang cannot wait to get back but don’t know if it’s will happen.
Really good Value for a good looking resort. You made good time getting there to!
Lucas have u tried at your cafe that Almond Flat White extra hot yet.
Gee that creek water @ 10:45 looked good, almost as good as Pattaya beach water. Hey did you feel safe riding down to the ferry point from your home town? Could it be done comfortably on a medium sized scooter (150cc) from Pattaya? Cheers.
I was there about the same time and it rained and rained and rained some more.
Take it easy riding there mate especially on a big bike like you have and in the rain! Not good. The roads on the other side of the island from when you get off the ferry and turn left are better.Have a good trip Koh Chang is great.
Did you go to see elephants the day after? How do they treat these animals?
6:45. Did you list that roach as one of your room occupants?
Thanks for the video!
Nice vid Lucas does not matter if it rains or shines in Thailand.
Love Koh Chang! Best place in Thailand!
This is my favorite tv show!!!
Rain or shine Rides keeps putting it out there!
Very nice resort, hope you have a great time.
Why are you doing this?
06:43 | The House Fly sure is a big bloke
Hey kinda off topic, but what ever happened to that Yamaha 400? I know you got it back but it wasn't running right...did the shop ever fix the problem or is it still at the shop?
Lucas said they were waiting on parts from Japan
Yes Curvy steep crazy road I was not a fan of this island
I would say the first 10 minutes I hated the place, but it did grow on me. I will probably return.
Expensive also I discovered everything that comes across on a ferry has a price increase.
Absolutely Awesome Room
You are with vee on this trip good one how is the bike going is it done yet.
thought Vi was going to stay on Bangkok?
Oh oh, you are a very experienced rider, I'm not .... hopefully not wet in February
rain wont be your worry in Feb, it will be your shoes melting.
Awesome Video
AWA is a must stay
Is there a good weather app for your area?
Hey Lucas. Big fan of your vids. I was thinking you should put in google map image of where you are and where going etc. You have done it a few times in different vids and it's always cool to see on a bigger scale. Keep up the good work!
I always end up googleing the places you visit just out of curiosity. I expect others do too.
You need a dune buggy lucas
''Pro Tip'' get a car !!!
Love Koh Chang we were in Trat at the same time.
What a calm voice
Enjoy.
no rain here in rangsit
Another good one....
That fly on the buffet.
Food looks great
I could easily spend a whole month there.
Haha we see when we can go there...
The roads in Koh Chang are infamously dangerous. Probably my favorite island. Prices generally are higher there though.
Great vid Lucas, glad to see you guys are finally able to " go on tour". I have only ever spent 5 days in Thailand (2008), but with changed circumstances and having already been armed with some knowledge garnered from you Vlogs during our lock-down, I intend to spend about 3 -6 months checking it all out.
Just waiting for the "curtains to be lifted" then it's " don't get in my way , it wont be pretty" as I get off the plane and take in all Thailand has to offer I in particular , natural beauty, beverages and food.
Thanks again for the sights and knowledge
Great vid thanks for sharing. You’ve got a great voice for a late night easy listening radio show. Ha.
💦💦💦
Nice to see that Koh chang never disappoint .... i was 3 times and 3 times it was raining the most of the time LOL
I guess i know perfectly what place you did get the accident .... many appening there.
Always a pleasure to watch your videos..
I stayed next door to the Awa Resort a few years ago.. The Chill Resort.. Very expensive, but fantastic facilities for a few days... Look around if you have time.. Cheers.
Koh Chang is beautiful and i also got rain when i visited... :D
900 THB is very cheap man.. i paid almost 1800 THB when i visited maybe its because now they are restarting now.
Nice looking resort, room, breakfast spread and the shrimp soup looked amazing. Thank you for another great video and sharing with us!!!
Rain; thought that only happened to me....! Looks like you scored on a good hotel though....the adventure continues....
Love Koh Chang, though sadly my last visit was 10 years ago. Rained then too but doesn’t look much different. Great for the adventurous motorcyclist. Lonely beach wasn’t so lonely, I preferred Long beach though back then the ‘road’ was very steep. Your friendly tour agent can arrange a great snorkelling trip.
Thanks again mate for your Video...my Royal Enfield and I dont like the rain....very much fair weather riders
Keep it up Mate
I’m looking forward to Thailand next year towards the end November/December
Lucas we have been informed in Syd later in the year or next Asia has said we are welcome if we quarantine for 14 days at our cost NO way that will cost heaps that is a joke if after 14 days and we the traveler have picked up the Covid another 14 days at our cost NO way.
Ha that resturant was our favorite, great food, lovely staff. Great to see koh Chang again, stay safe
I always tell everyone to buy a good light rain jacket before going to thailand because you are going to need it. I got a columbia rain jacket that cost me around $35.00 in america. Everyone always would ask me were I got when I was in thailand, but I had to tell them..got it in america.
Wrong time of the year to visit Koh Chang. Chonburi is perhaps the driest place during the rainy season, but Koh Chang is one of the wettest. Great deal on the hotel though!
Those Castrol Bike Points are really handy. They are everywhere here in Vietnam even up in remote mountain towns. Superfast oil change when you have to keep moving.
MyThai wife makes soups to die for. I know what you were craving.
the Hotel was very nice and breakfast included good deal for least than 30 bucks .I can't even stay at motel six for that price happy 4 0f July good travels
