The man the dreamed of having a bakery and all after som time he got his bakery, that is sucess,
Peace/respect is what comes to my mind. Having your peace of mind is important.🩵
You have my respect for this thought 💭, and using your position to tell this to everyone.
What's your end goal garyvee? What makes u happy?
Stuff? The dude wants a house so he can shelter a family.
I'm conflicted on this. Making good money did make me happier. But I do think that ppl greatly overestimate the amount of money needed for happiness
There’s probably a number that makes us not stress about life because we’ll get food and shelter and that makes us “happy” but everything beyond that number has to be earned by doing what you love, otherwise it’ll eat you away! IMHO
Gary is right, I was chasing a six figure job thinking that it would make me happy but as soon as I got it I realized I’d much rather be doing something I love and making less money
Yea but it's different to say "I want trips to Paris once a month and to be able to go to Disneyland once a week" than "I want a certain number in my account and a big house". He didn't even mention the enjoyable things money would bring that he wants, just that he wants it in a big spacious house as a status symbol.
His end goal isn’t a real thing. Another words if that got dropped in his lap tomorrow he would realize (once the newness of it wore off) that it didn’t really make him as happy as he thought it would.
But were you making money for money’s sake? Or did your work mean something to you? Did it fuel you in some way? Did it challenge you to be better? Did you have an amazing team (or even one amazing teammate or client along with you? Did you have solid relationships (family, friends, or significant other) that you could enjoy that money with. Did your faith inspire you?
Please expand on this, as so many are looking to end their lives because of this and feeling that they will never make it.
Not being owned by anyone but yourself is where I'm at in trying to make a difference, feel good about what I do and leave the world a better place. Took me a long time to get here, and I'm still gaining clarity every day. Word, Gary. Word.
Gary is 1000% right. Obtaining wealth won’t make you happy. Purpose is what makes you happy. Which is why so few achieve it.
This. Exactly this. Thank you Gary V!
That “ooh” 😂 my guy just got hit hard with that one
Gary is speaking so much truth here. Don't let what "they" tell you happiness is override what you want deep down inside.
Crowder was in a beautiful patio of a presumably beautiful home and he was utterly miserable.
I think most people will still strive for that at the stake of everything
There was study that beyond 75k a year doesn’t really increase happiness. Money doesn’t buy happiness is the old but true saying. Jim Carey had a good quote that he wished everyone could be rich so that they can realize that is not the answer to happiness.
Nah, I maybe very materialistic saying this. But I think that number is different for everyone. It just depends on what u want out of life, & how much $ it takes to get u where u want to be. That number's just higher now, since we've been heavily marketed to by social media, & it paints a very unrealistic pic of success. We all want validation, status, & acknowledgment. Money doesn't buy happiness, but it does buy contentment.
@@leowzhilinthe number varies but it’s pretty much what ever number makes you not have to worry about money. Once you hit that number your most likely trying to fill some void in yourself and a therapist would probably help more than money.
Well with inflation, not sure if that’s true
Society is good at selling the American dream as the great goal, when you made it etc. All I can say is go ahead spend your life chasing what you don't have. What happens when you get it? You think you're just going to sit back and be like ahhh I made it that's it? Nope now you have to maintain it and chances are you'll just end up chasing the next level you don't yet have.
Me I prefer to live and enjoy life to the best of my ability. Just like everyone else there are good times and bad. But I survive to see a new day. I live to walk through another desert tomorrow. I fight to climb the next mountain. I challenge the next ocean and seek the next island to explore.
The funny thing about it is, although in the moment there are sometimes sore blistered feet I can hardly stand on, an aching back or an empty stomach, when I look back there are no regrets. There are no regrets because everytime I look back I see I have been somewhere I have done something I have live through he!! And came out on top. everytime I struggle now I think - I survived walking through a sand dune desert two days in 117° heat, sub ZERO temperatures and blizzards camping and walking through the mountains in the middle of nowhere and saw the most beautiful views, sailing through the ocean swimming for hours back to shore from a sunk dinghy most people never would have dared to take so far off shore land long ago disappeared and met some of the most beautiful l, crazy and interesting people. At this point I'd be perfectly content if the end of my life was sitting on a warm beach by the ocean and passing away even if it happened tomorrow.
Thank you so much I needed to hear and see this ! 🎯
Love this bro, and needed it today. Thank you. “The world is really good at selling this”
👏
Daily Positivity Energy! Thanks Gary!
I’ll give it to Gary this time, he hit a bull’s-eye, you have to be the change you want to see
Goal #1 the ability to be in a situation where your not forced to accept something you dont want. True independence.
Goal #2 the urge for others to want to include you in things.
Damn seeing this is crazy. I literally spent 20-31 in an extremely high stress engineering management job. Got the house and bag but that’s it. I would literally pay someone to go back in time to gut punch me and give me this same piece of advice.
How was your job stressful? Was it because of long hours, toxic people at work or perhaps due to some other circumstances? What do you do now?
@@rfsalad4118 I'm curious too
You’re response is perfect.
Happiness is so much more important than money! ❤️
True happiness can be found in our Lord Jesus Christ. Put your problems on his shoulders, and watch your struggles slowly dissipate. The father loves each and every single one of us
Thank you for the questioner, and Gary, this blunt conversation means something to me
Making money is the least important part of a job. I make 6 figures and I am not happy. I am ready to turn it all in and just do something completely different with my life. I would just love to work with a team or group of happy employees. High paying jobs tend to be lonely jobs and very stressful.
Sooo untrue. With 6 figures a lot things changed for me and my family.
His goals have no base, no principles and no further happiness. It's not about what he ACTUALLY wants, which could be next to nothing. I want people around me who want to live their best life whatever that means to them. I want to serve God like a child so I can continue to gain positive results from adding peace and love in others lives. I want to argue and debate about politics with my family and then play a board game that has us laughing till our sides hurt. When people you love die around you and you have to divey out their "things", you realize those things men absolutely nothing when the person who owned them is no longer there to love. Love makes the world go round not consumer products ❤
Damn i needed to hear this.
That's a hard pill to swallow...
i think success is reaching goals we plans to do and do what ever it takes to reach it ^^
If money doesn't make you happy you can transfer it to me
I believe it’s all fun and games until you realize you had it all before you or the one closest to you lose your health.
Yea, right, Gary. We should aim lower in life. Just live the same stupid average life. Lower our ambitions, and just exist. Really? Like seriously? I know the road is hard, but it doesn't mean one shouldn't even consider it. Having 6 figures and a nice house is REALISTIC and POSSIBLE. Man, as much as I love you, Gary. You were wrong here.
This is so Awsome!!!❤❤❤
Gary Vee: “don’t be materialistic”
His followers: “holy crap! I literally never considered that before. That’s life changing”
So for anyone kind of on the fence. The problem is the guy was putting all of his focus and dreams into two things. Ones making 100k a year plus and the other is a house. Once those are achieved he will be feeling the exact same probably better but close to the same after he’s achieved. Because now his entire life’s work has been achieved he’s made the money and got the house, so it’s like okay now what. I agree with Gary the guy probably just needs a purpose to pair with the two materialistic dreams he has
This is such a great breakdown. Often times people overestimate high money's value to happiness. Is it really happiness or a just shiny new thing to add to your status?
What is true happiness? That's the answer people should seek, not what corporatism tells them what happiness is. It's merely materialism.
Truth.
I disagree it's about the why. A few years ago my then landlord needed to sell his home as they cut his hours at work. This mean me and my family would be homeless. It was exactly what I needed to put together a solid plan for homeownership so I could reduce the risk of me and my kids being homeless.
Six figures is the new middle class… you heard it here first!
No lol. Not even close.
What if your goal became how many people could you happily help for pay?
Bro just killed his ego
Peace, Love and Joy in that order = life satisfaction (IMO)
What he means to say is that he believes if he made six figures he could provide a home to entice a woman to marry him. Yes, society dictates your options.
Well said !
WOW !!!😮 beyond amazing how fast Gary Vee, analyze the caller's issue and responded with the best answer 🔥 No wonder, he's worth hundreds of billions of dollars 👏👏👏
The Man is an entrepreneurial beast 🏆
Happiness is not a destination; it is a journey. Once you reach that end goal, you need another. It is in doing things that we find happiness, not in having things
Great insight
“Having moneys not everything, not having it is.”
The bigger home is much harder and pricier to run! You don’t want that. Rent a nice flat and always have the option to move home if needed!

Turn your aim towards the most high
Exactly. This is the ONLY way to live. By service to God who given us life. A miserable life is one empty of God's presence.
Someone tell Garyvee - “Be philosophical only after you get rich”
I feel that 6 figures. Specifically 100K per year, is a fantastic goal to strive towards. It brings much needed freedom from worrying about paycheck to paycheck bills and allows you to start saving wealth for the future. This is all assuming your lifestyle doesn't become extravagant as you make more salary.
I know people that are poor and more happy then rich people
the convo of health and happiness is subjective to diff ppl and their perspective
Everyone's happiness definition is not the same
but one thing is they want to be free of stress and complaining
Deep.
And that’s exactly why Gary is a multi-millionare 😂
He didnt even make up his own arbitrary goal.... he took every other person's 😂
I'm addicted to this channel
I don’t believe in happiness Gary it comes in waves 🌊 I take action regardless
Amazing GV
A house is not going to fix your problems we all have to face our problems and not cover them with materialistic things.
What should the focus be on then?
family, religion and focusing on a worthwhile goal.
Personal health, wealth and happiness. Then whilst slowly achieving those micro goals you can help others with what you learn… any hobbies or things you enjoy you can turn into a business and your purpose for what you should aim for will come to you on this journey. It did for me anyway
How can you determine what you trully love or what type of business a person should go into?

Gary says a lot of silly things…this was not one of them. Well said brother
I know you love helping the youngsters get moving. But could you suggest ideas for us oldies not on the dump yet.? Lots of us still want to kick, little or nothing to juggle with, but want, to try to keep going, with a bit of dignity. Not super techs, but not dumb. Thanks
Lol. I hope this kid get six figures and buys a big house in the next few years just so he can really internalize what Gary is talking about. Hard to relate to what he’s saying with just words…but if you’ve lived it, you know
Maybe he'll find himself better to be lost and unhappy with a big house and 6 figz instead of lost and unhappy while poor too.
Just my take
Yeah 6 figures and a big house but being alone......life hits hard when your driven and ambitious 😂
@@coutureleotardsnot everyone worst fear is being alone. That is typically women, men have an easier time coping.
@@Faizan_Ali22Nobody's telling him to go poor. It's not black or white, rich or poor. The point is to find a balance so that you will not be miserable, but also be just financially stable enough to continue living happy.
His struggle will lead him to true.happiness... his struggle is temporary
this is delayed gratification
Shit, I just want to make enough to support myself without having to live with my father, at 55 years of age.
Fuck the big house, something small on a couple acres is enough for me.
Yep. Pretty much.
with whatever job that you already have, find the cheapest ghetto or abandoned house, pay twenty percent downpayment to a mortgage. then save up to put a taup over the roof. with the higher overlapping the lower parts of the roof. you will feel much more secure financially if the monthly payment is toward paying off your own cheapest house instead of rent. always value stability over promised reward. bcos the promise can be a deliberate lie to lure you into a life of instability.
I don’t get why that’s such a bad goal I just want freedom similar things as he wants but just not having to be somewhere for someone else’s company 10 hours a day five days a week. it takes away travel opportunities and really just many more opportunities that require energy and time.
I justwanna get to a point im fully independent and finnancially stable dont gotta rely on other fuckin humans or deal with them when i dont feel like dealing wit mfs if i had my oen like dimension cut off from space and time on some kamiu shit i would never have to worryab shit especially if i can justgo there anytime i want and somehow bring shit with me and keep it there💀

Live your with low overhead. Wait till your in your 40's and buy a dream home.
Id rather have six figures and be sad then be broke and sad

Go into a trade, no college debt, live home save money, buy a home when you have saved up enough and there ya go, thats what im doin
Yes sir that’s me got into a 2 year trade school program paid for by financial aid making 6 figures now. Looking to buy my second home possibly end of year or next year depending how the market goes!

Roof over the head. One meal a day. 8 hrs sleep..8 hr job and 4 hr self education and exercise and keep moving...moving....moving and remember the destination is cemetery.
No, if that were true, then it would only make sense to achieve All goals including wealth and power. But we live forever and we will answer for all the things we have done.

Fuck fancy cars and houses.
Work hard, increase your income, same and invest and enjoy passions and hobbies that don’t include spending thousands looking cool.

Ok, now that he knows what not to do. He needs an answer on what he should focus on.
Nothings changed ? It changed a lot when you come from a broken and broke family and then as an adult you make 6 figures and you have your own pad hell yeah it changes !
Sent from his mansion lol
Is there a reason he interrupts so much?
U right, making 6 figure and walking into a mini home with 3 of my dream cars in the parking lot would make me infinity happier
This type of thing gives me the reinsurance that suicide will probably be in my future when that wall is hit, how to you figure out happiness if this isn't the path, then what is
Stop living for money and materialism. All are things of THIS world. You may not want to hear it, but PLEASE form a relationship with Jesus. You WILL be much happier and you will have a clear path. I promise you brother, once you find Jesus everything changes. Be good to yourself bro ❤
