What You Need to Know About Strangulation

This presentation is going to provide information about the importance and dangers of strangulation. There will be a brief overview of the pathophysiology and discuss signs and symptoms that may occur when a person has been strangled. Attendees will gain an understanding of what a forensic nurse examiner(FNE) is and the vital role the FNE has when assessing a person post strangulation. The goal of the presentation is for attendees to understand the significance surrounding strangulation and the importance of a medical forensic examination.
