My philosophy with my bookshelf is a buy/read most of them on my kindle/ipad and if it’s a 5 star/I loved it then I will buy the physical book for my bookshelf. That way when I look at it, it only brings me joy and just has my favourites on it! Saves me money and I hate when I walked past it and saw a book that I bought at random and didnt enjoy it, it was a constant reminder of wasted money. Hope that made sense haha I really like the soft edges and open sides of your bookshelf!

I would honestly love to see a Grocery haul with no dinnerly that week and no eating out. Once u factor the dinnerly cost into the grocery bill it adds up (more so if u have a whole family to feed not just two adults) Plus the eating out helps there budget but needs to be factored into why the groceries are cheap

You have to try hot honey halloumi with that chilli honey! Fry up the halloumi and drizzle the honey in the pan, makes them sticky and delicious. So good on avo toast or a wrap 🤤
Love that you opted for a case you can move rather than floating shelves! The rounded edges are stunning. Maybe you can make a list of all the books you really loved and either buy them (second hand or new) for the book shelf or do an art project where you print off the covers and wrap them on something else / frame it? Or even just op shop books that have pretty spines/covers to add colour / bulk? No need to rush. remember the bar cart? You were stressing about decorating that and wanted it done and dusted Let this be a slow enjoyable process :)
So funny- we were on a walk this afternoon and someone had put a bunch of books out for hardrubbish pick up. I grabbed two that I read as a kid and will go back again tomorrow with a bag 😂
