Glad I came across this particular channel. This was a really good discussion and insight between you all and Kellie and Burns. Kellie and I first met many, many years ago when we were both in the military. I’m just so happy and excited for her, for her journey and more importantly to see another woman, and a veteran, a mother, an African-American woman out there doing the social work and getting into the counseling field, which is so desperately needed. I love the enthusiasm and the compassion that she has and the zeal for doing this particular work.

Awwwww man!!! Thank you so much!!! We have both been used to do great things and it's such an honor to be in community with such amazing women!

This was an amazing conversation. You touched on what I refer to as toxic productivity and how as black women we feel an unspoken pressure to show up and do the most. The other gems throughout about transition were very relevant as well.

Very good talk. A lot of the military transition talk is absolutely on point. We are built different and that wasn’t necessarily our purpose but the military’s purpose and breaking down us and rebuilding with what we need and getting rid of what we don’t is the challenge

Indeed that was and sometimes still the challenge!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts!
