Lovely stylish playing both by the soloist (well done!) and the orchestra. Really enjoyed this performance of a beautiful piece, which is not heard often enough.
As everyone says, this is really fine playing. The young girl, the other musicians, everybody's doing a really great job, and the music is wonderful. (But look! The young girl is wearing sneakers! See how she rocks back and forth on them? It's fun to watch. Try it!)
It’s not, but if you like it that’s a different matter. All three of Haydn’s extant violin concertos are modest affairs (one is lost), and all are very early works. This G major concerto is probably the earliest, and certainly technically the easiest, pre-dating even Haydn’s Eszterhazy appointment in 1761; it is routine and humdrum with almost no spark of the originality found in the early symphonies and string quartets. The A major concerto is slightly more substantial than the G major, but I think the C major (Hob. VIIa:1) written especially for the fine Eszterhazy 1st violin leader* is by far the most successful of the three, and the only one really worth performing at a public concert (the others - though pleasant enough - suffice really only as student exercises). * When entering the C major concerto into his catalogue of works, after the incipit, Haydn added ‘fatto per il luigi’ (sic) ‘Made for Luigi’.
Such beautiful playing! Excellent recording. I am listening to this performance over and over. Thank you! (Така прекрасна гра. Відмінний запис. Я слухаю цю виставу багато разів. Дякую!)
Really outstanding performance, but her violin clearly wasn’t built to be played as a solo instrument and that unfortunately hinders her projection against the orchestra at times.
Very true... really amazing what she can do with that cheap thing though! The orchestra instruments look cheap as well... well, I guess that just makes it even more impressive!
She is only 11...I can tell that this violinist has the potential to go far in music.
The patience needed for an 11 year old to stand there for 21 minutes is impressive. She did great.
My favourite interpretation. Graceful, elegant... like buttery toast on a Sunday morning, delightful!

Is the violinist only 11 years ol? Amazing. She is elegant and charming.

Lovely performance!
This is my favorite concert. It reminds me at my childhood. The young violin star is really amazing. I wish for her future the best. Franc
Дякую. 🌹🌹🌹 Lviv.
It's a different piece at this slower tempo. It's stately and incredibly sweet. The young violinist has a unique grasp of tone and style.
I love this tempo!
