    There's something I love about how subtle the tremolo is. I've heard a lot of cases where the tremolo sounds rather exaggerated and cheesy and awkward, and this is not the case here: the tremolo actually adds something.

    • @buschbeckorganbuilding3600
      @buschbeckorganbuilding3600  5 лет назад +12

      Thank you. The Tremolo is pneumatic with a long brass spring. I made it adjustable in intensity over the stop knob. The more you pull out the stronger it works.

    This is lovely, but I'm confused as to why there's no 2' stop but rather two quint stops. For 4 stops, I would think 8, 4, 2, 1-1/3 or 8, 4, 2-2/3, 2 would make more sense. I would also like to have heard the two higher stops demonstrated.

      For a home this is as big as it can get without offering up bedrooms. If you would buy this it would cost like 25000$. Not really a starter instrument. For a starter a Hauptwerk organ is way more affordable 🙂

    What a beautiful organ! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but the sound it produces is simply lovely. It’s builder certainly put a lot of thought into its design and construction. A small masterpiece.
    If I may be so bold as to inquire, what might be the price of such a wonderful instrument?

      @@buschbeckorganbuilding3600 I felt organ making is one of the most exciting and Noble job. I want to learn it, but my country does not have such cultural environment or convenience to it . To me it is gravely sad as very few people knew this instrument, not to mention to discuss or even play it. I was luck to study in New Zealand for a while and be able to spend quite some time on any organ related activities and met some friends. When I am about to come back, I retrofitted a 2 manual 30 some years old Allen computer organ to a midi ready console (for Hauptwerke), under my friend’s guidance. And then ship it back to my country hoping to keep it going. Thank you sir for making this post, it is so exciting to see the organ community is growing on RUclips! God bless.

    Too much chiff for me. Such an attack lends the sound more to fairground music than classical, if you ask me.
    Whether it's a result of size, construction, or personal taste, it's honestly neither here nor there though. It sure is a treat to look at, and the craftsmanship speaks for itself!

      You might want to inquire with the builder versus relying on the opinion of others as being factual. It's probably not going to be "cheap" (whatever that is), but bear in mind the complexity of this instrument and the fact that it's handmade and of superior quality. I wouldn't guess the price, I'd simply contact the builder.

      That's better than nothing of course. Are they still around, or were they absorbed by someone else (Viscount)? If I had the money, I'd buy a refurbished Rodgers 835-B by Walker Technical Organs for home use. I can't imagine what an instrument of this size would cost, but I'm going to share this video with my pipe organ builder friends and get their professional opinion. I just thought that her estimation was a tad high especially considering she didn't reveal a position of authority as having worked for or currently working for a pipe organ builder especially one who exclusively builds Tracker organs. This organ is what, 3 to possibly (albeit I think four ranks) 5 ranks and according to her totally unsubstantiated estimate, that organ is $30-33K per rank? I'd find that hard to believe. I just went online and found a Rodgers 205 Hybrid which is an analog electronic (II/5) two manual organ with 5 ranks of pipes and 38 speaking stops, AGO console/pedalboard that the seller GRAFTON PIANO COMPANY listed for $11,890 or $8,990 as is. I'd be surprised to see this organ priced more than $40K (between $20-40K), but I just don't know. Enjoy your home organ Richard and be safe.

    • @Richard-vq7ud
      @Richard-vq7ud 3 года назад

      @@bhigdaddymark Yes, i agree with your analysis. Ahlborn is still around. My favorite part of it is the digital acoustics. As much as I love the true pipe organ, I still believe any organ is only as good as its' acoustics. Imo, the best pipe organ without acoustics would be like a grand Steinway minus the sustain pedal. I had a lot of fun hacking up some old Conn pipes and incorpoating used Allen speakers to carry the bass. No, it is not the real deal, but it has a magnifiscent pipe display and i feel like a king playing it and looking at it everyday. One of my favorite phrases is "better than nothing'... Maybe someday, i have thought about getting a real pipe organ, removing furniture, and then covering ever square inch of my living area with tin. I dont know how that would work, but it would be fun!
