Loved the feel of this video! Very different from your usual videos. Almost a Ghibli-esque feel, especially in the beginning. And it's all about finding a new pillow, lol! Great job!
Aloha Cory ~ I never knew shopping for a pillow would leave me breathless!!! The SCENERY, the COLORS, the buildings both modern & of yesteryear as well as glimpses of everyday life. All the while keeping it real “is it this way, no it’s this way” 😂. Thank you for this adventure....as always stay safe, stay healthy 🏝
I'm super stoked about your new video editing style, you definitely entered the next level. The mix of tranquility with direct camera talk (and a "mission" such as finding a new pillow), plus seeing you as whole (not just the face) and walking past the camera sometimes is really good. I liked the walking videos too but sometimes they were a bit long, also because not every street corner features something interesting. However, it shouldn't just be about "highlights only" videos. That's why I like the new style a lot! Great work!
Thanks! I'm still refining and experimenting, but you hit the nail on the head. I want a mix of these elements in my vlogs from now on. Stay tuned for the next one! Cheers.
Loving the new editing style. Very creative choices. After searching for years, I finally found a pillow I can live with. It's a no-name medium fill pillow called a Hydraluxe Air. It's a Goldilocks pillow, not too hard, not too soft. Just right.
Hey, Cory. Gorgeous intro! All those awesome shots and that pretty field of flowers. Your cinematography has definitely improved...I think. I don't really know anything about video editing, production, and stuff. LOL! So I'm with you. I'm definitely a firm-pillow kind of gal. Regrettably, I also eat my meals at my desk. I'd like to think I'm being productive by working and eating at the same time-multi-tasking and all that jazz-but really, I just don't want to sit at the dinner table because of the temptation to eat second helpings, no matter how tasty the food is. Not only because I'm watching my weight, but also because I don't indulge in gluttony. Since college, I eat out of a single bowl for every meal. It's enough to fill me up. I believe anything in excess is bad for you. Anyway, loving this format. Looks like Japan is back to normal already with all those people walking around. As always, take care of yourself and stay safe out there. Cheers!
hehehe thanks! Wow, a single bowl for each meal. That's actually really good and a nice way to make sure you're controlling your portions. Moderation is definitely key! Glad you enjoyed the video and new format. I'm still gonna experiment with a few more things, but hopefully I land on a kind of signature style of vlogging that people will come to expect. Hopefully it draws in my subscribers!
Cosmos 💜 so pretty in the wind 👂corey does not sucks 😮 A good pillow and a place to stretch out sounds good. I ended up with a small decorative halloween pillow from target. I covered it with a soft fleece. My kids take the pillows. I think they eat them.
Hi Cory, Watching some older videos and just wanted to let you know that I especially enjoyed the opening shots of the neighborhoods in this one. Stay cool🪭
Beautiful opening shots to this video, beautiful flowers, love the drone shots, you should make some drone video's Cory, your a nice guy , don't put yourself down you make great Video's , keep safe😎🇯🇵🙈🙉
Of course! I'm not sure if I'll be living here next year, I might move to a new apartment or even a completely different area of Japan. You never know!
HI Cory, I hope you are well. My favourite pillow is called Bamboo. It was advertised by As seen on TV. I have had these pillows for 6 years and they had kept there shape and are not too soft or firm. I love looking at shops in different countries. I love the build your own stuff. The minimalist approach is definitely better for mental health. Which is why I decluttering my flat.
I think I've heard of that pillow. It sounds nice. I hope you can Mari Kondo yourself a nice and clean living situation. hehehe I've been living minimally since 2017, and it has been so nice.
Thank you for the great video as always Cory! I’m really enjoying the intro parts of videos where you show the sights and sounds of the areas. Very immersive. I’m always impressed with the price and quality of products in Japan. Thanks again. -Danny
Maybe it's the old school Korean blood in us. Like, I remember sleeping with those hard bean-bag pillows from Korea. And even just the head rest block, which isn't even a pillow. hahaha
Wow just wow this is the perfect video! Even if the item seems trivial, that’s real life! Sometimes we need to get a new pillow. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. Thanks to you. Hope you’re taking good care of yourself.
I once saw a beautiful field in Korea, full of Cosmos at this time of the year. It was really beautiful! But I think this one was way taller and more intense. The field I saw in Korea, they were smaller and the flowers didn't seem so big. Thanks for watching!
@@doctordogtoffee3832 Thanks for the suggestion. The pillow I bought is magical and really feels 100% better than the older pillow. I sleep so well now!
Yeah!!! I was happy to see comments from the live stream gang as well. Moist fam! I want to live stream soon, I just have to figure out the best day to do it. Probably next week during my day off, the usual Thursday 9pm EST like I used to do. ^^ I'll announce it more officially soon!
At the Apa Hotel chain they use to use the shell casings up until 2017 and then they changed to a cheap version of the memory pillows. Nice video Cory!
Do you know if Nitori does delivery (inside Japan of course)? I don't have a car and would like to buy some furniture. I know Amazon have some, but its quite limited.
Yep! They sure do. You can order off their website and setup the delivery, or if you go to the store, talk to the Information desk to arrange everything.
nice shots!
Thanks, Ria! Appreciate you watching the vlog. ^^

Hey thanks man! I'm still experimenting with this newer style. How to make it nice and peaceful, but also not boring as hell. hehehe
Cory this is AMAZING!! it really shows how tranquil and peaceful outside of the city can be! Side Note: you have such nice eyes!
Thanks, Dannniiiiiiii~
I think you noticed my eyes like that last day we hung out, which was actually ONE YEAR AGO. Holy shit!
