The remarkable thing about Geoff is his range which can reach five octaves on a good day, with subharmonics and falsetto added to his comfortable four octaves. Other songs such as Blackbird, High and Dry, Country Roads, or 16 tons etc give you an idea of how that sounds. And yes, his attention to detail is outstanding when creating this type of video.
Geoff's range is great, but not that rare. More impressive is how long he can hold it and how rich it sounds, not a mere growl. Skipping to two octaves back and forth, now that's the most remarkable! VERY few can do that. Especially so smoothly, that wows all vocal coaches. Besides him a capella wise only Tomi P does it and most well known doing this effortlessly Dimash.
@@embran8486 I guess it depens on what you mean by rare. As voices go I reckon it's fairly rare. But you're right in saying that it's the smoothness that sets him apart from others who have a similar range.
@@PowerfulReactions I actually recommend you check out the less oft reacted to House of the RIsing Sun cover by Geoff. That one doesn't get enough play.
Geoff is the bass singer for Voiceplay, an extremely talented group. They have solid, tight harmonies, and their productions are top notch! Check Oogie Boogie's Song, Friends on the Other Side, or any of their music - you will not be disappointed. Geoff has some phenomenal solo work as well. 16 Tons, Monster Mash and any of his solo work is also top notch!
Geoff (and VoicePlay) are wonderful at creating in depth versions of the songs they cover. And they do it all..... they usually get help on makeup, costumes, choreography (when needed) but they do arrangements, most of the editing, videos, lighting, etc. Geoff obviously does all of his own on his channel: on VoicePlay, 99% of the songs are split between Geoff and Layne (the beatbox). Which ever one has the vision, typically leads with the whole package.
Love Geoff's voice and love his new Halloween release of The Monster Mash. So fun. I greatly enjoy all of his covers. The first one I heard was Sixteen Tons. Or a duet with Tim Foust of Home Free. Check out his tutorials in his normal voice. IF I WERE A RICH MAN/GIRL | VoicePlay Feat. Ashley Diane Geoff is the lead in this one.
If you want sub woofer I suggest watching VoicePlay's version of Friends On the Other Side. Geoff is definitely a sub woofer towards the end. Hoist the Colours showcases his deep voice as well. Oh, and in Halo theme he hits his record low note.
Oh lala, that's cool, it's just different for me, I love it when men know how to use their voice, wow, an E1 🙌🙌🙌❤️💋😁 'Lord of the Rings' comes to my mind 💥🧝♀️stimmt Good choice made
Please do more Geoff Castellucci and Voiceplay reactions! Thank you for this reaction. Btw, you don't sound like Bobcat Goldthwaite! Lol! I will subscribe because you reacted to this video!
Watch his how to sing really low video to get a bead on his regular speaking voice. It definitely isn't squeaky high for sure. Loved your reaction to this. I thought your eyes were going to pop right out of your head!
In addition to his tutorials mentioned by others, Elizabeth Zharoff aka The Charismatic Voice made almost 1.5 hour long interview with him there you can hear a lot how he talks.
So far Geoff hasn't done a collab with Avi but Voiceplay did (and as such Geoff) with Tim Foust from Home Free. Just like Avi Kaplan joined Home Free one time.
I'd love to see Geoff and VP get together with Home Free again. Peter Hollens and Tim Foust did a version of this song (called Misty Mountains) that is just as beautiful. I often listen to them back to back, looped with My Mother Told Me.
He has a couple of singing tutorials on RUclips. You can hear him talking. He did an interview recently with a reactor to o on Charismatic something.. check it out
Check out voice play cover of warriors and bridge over troubled waters and true colors. You won’t be disappointed. My mother told me is a good voice play cover too.
I have just recently discovered Geoff and Voiceplay, and am wading through their songs. Incredible!! I could listen to his singing all day long, and I can say that right now about only one other artist (Angelina Jordan). I must say your reaction approach, demeanor and attitude are exactly what I look for and enjoy in a reactor. Many thanks for making me smile, and you now have a new subscriber. FYI if you'd like to see an interview with Geoff you can find one by Elizabeth Zharoff @ ruclips.net/video/ypToJeKoEbI/видео.html
"That guy from Police Academy" is Bobcat Goldthwaite. If you ever fancy reacting to comedy, you should definitely do him. He's *exactly* like that IRL.
Yeah, I really do wanna put Avi, Matt, and Geoff in a room together wtih some recording equipment for a couple of days and see what happens. For added bonus points, give them a canister of sulfur hexafluoride on the second day. Might as well make it *completely* ridiculous.
The low note here is a G1-believe it or not he can go lower. His official lowest note so far is in Voiceplay’s Halo Theme -a B0. On his channel, he also does readings from things like Edgar Allen Poe’s works, so you can hear his voice that way, but he’s also done interviews. If you like his solo work, check out Sixteen Tons. I think you’ll love it. Also, you should check out Carry On Wayward Son or My Mother Told Me by Voiceplay, because not only is Geoff’s voice amazing, but Eli, the group’s tenor, could easily front a metal/rock band if he wanted to.
If you want to listen to Geoff Castellucci using also the high range of his voice try Oogie Boogie song and Queen in 5 minutes and you will listen to him + Voiceplay 😉
He speaks a bit to thank the watchers at the end of the Moana Medley that Voiceplay covered. Checkout his Blackbird cover for a good show of his range.

Its amazing. I will check these songs out as well. Thank you Christine.

@@PowerfulReactions HE IS MY FAVORITE BASS SINGER
I would love to see Geoff Castelluci and Avi Kaplan and Tim Foust do a low bas cover together. They all have beautiful ranges!

If you look on Geoff Castellucci's channel; he has tutorials on singing low. You can hear his speaking voice there, and it is pretty low.
Geoff, Layne and Scott Porter were the creators of Voiceplay. See their video of the Halo theme
And keep watching after the music, don't miss the end please.

Will do 👍🏻 And thanks for watching and subscribing 😎
your voice just like a late night DJ
Check out Geoff Castelluci’s cover of Blackbird, house of the rising sun and take me home country roads. Monster mash is awesome too 🥰🥰🔥

Красиво и прикольно👍🏻😊

You gotta react to Geoff's covers to House of the rising sun and Headless horseman etc
So far Geoff hasn't done a collab with Avi but Voiceplay did (and as such Geoff) with Tim Foust from Home Free. Just like Avi Kaplan joined Home Free one time.
He has a RUclips video explaining how he hit subharmonics. You can hear him talking in his normal voice.
Very beautiful song 👍 Amazing and interesting voices 💕🌠💕 Thanks for the beautiful video 🌿 Evaluation 💯

Geoff's speaking voice is pretty low. You can hear him speak in some of his singing tutorial videos.
Yeah, I really do wanna put Avi, Matt, and Geoff in a room together wtih some recording equipment for a couple of days and see what happens.
For added bonus points, give them a canister of sulfur hexafluoride on the second day. Might as well make it *completely* ridiculous.
If you liked this, please consider reacting to Avi Kaplan's "Change on the Rise"!
Imagine a duet with him/Avi Kaplan/Tim Foust and Dimash Kudaibergen. I don't know how many octaves that would be.
It would be fantastic!

If you want to know his speaking voice go to his page he has narrated several books
By the way VoicePlay did make a cover of Black Hole Sun recently.
If you want to listen to Geoff Castellucci using also the high range of his voice try Oogie Boogie song and Queen in 5 minutes and you will listen to him + Voiceplay 😉
Bro, I heard Black Hole Sun too.
He speaks a bit to thank the watchers at the end of the Moana Medley that Voiceplay covered. Checkout his Blackbird cover for a good show of his range.
Sounds interesting.
They’re all the same guy
ШОК!💥
