I lived in Denmark, where kids were transported on bikes all the time, there was never a problem. We, Americans, cannot see ourselves without car. How many kids get mangled in cars?

I have a three wheeled bakfiets , a two wheeled long John and a yuba mundo . The kids prefer being in the bikes much more than a car . We don’t even use the car any more . I was fine with the bicycle part, I was okay with the rather steep prices, but when I saw them transporting a guitar, although in a hard case, that was not properly strapped down I shuddered with cold chills at the very thought of one of my precious instruments being unsafely handled.
So fit it with a tracker ....That's how I got my bike back. It led me to a lock up. So i called the cops who turned up, busted the thief along with 15 or so other bikes. the police told me that they thought he was responsible for the majority of local bike thefts.

However, I remember my Motorcycle Safety course and how to "surmount the obstacle" instead of swerving severely and causing an accident.
