Tom .... I surely hope your experience with this grill is better than mine. I was gifted one of these Akorn's a couple of years ago. It was a constant struggle w/ temp control every single time I used it. I even added a Guru temp controller. It would start off fine, you would think all was well, come back 30 minutes later, and the temp skyrocketed, with no coming back. 6 months and about 10 cooks in, I was removing the grate with the tool they give you. A chunk of the grate broke off. I contacted Char-Griller, but w/o having the receipt, I was out of luck. Their customer service is terrible. I sold it shortly thereafter.
Little trick Tom: Lay the dough ball on parchment, with another piece on top. Use a rolling pin to roll out the dough, turning quarter turns at a time to get a round crust. Pull off the top sheet, and cook on the bottom sheet of parchment. No need for any more than a very light dusting of flour.
Love watching your real to life videos/reviews doesn't always turn out perfect but doesn't make it garbage and was thinking in about 2yrs getting new smoker/grill my char griller 3yrs old 275$ offset is starting to show wear from upstate new york no garage just 8x5 grill canopy was looking at that gravity but then saw the akorn and this vid and said yup my new all in one yeah I have the offset a 22inch members mark kettle with one of those over priced pizza oven kits and a 14inch old smokey grill and this akorn is calling my name well until you do another review and I say that's the one I gonna get lol
Great pizza Tom! Man, I gotta get me one of those Acorns! The people I talked to online say it's a real winner. Only downside is it can rust out if you don't take good care of it. But I suppose that's true of any Grill.
I can’t understand all the backyard cooks that buy separate pizza ovens. Tom has done at least two cooks of pizzas on different grills. I’ve used a gas Weber. Save your money
Great Looking Pizza Tom!!! I'm defiantly gonna have to try this out because a wood fired pizza has an amazing taste like no other!!!
Thanks for Watching!

Thanks for watching Dave! This is my third one. I’ve been pretty successful with them, I agree you need to watch the temps
