I want to say that you're one of my favorite content creators. I grew up in LA, and get tired of people degrading and only focusing on the negatives. It's true that LA has major issues to overcome like homelessness, lack of affordable housing, etc., etc., but it can also be a lovely place to live. Thank you for sharing the positives that LA has to offer through your eyes.

I used to love dried flowers but then I started doing some research about the Feng Shui and energy stuff and I don't keep any dried flower at home ever since. I don't know if you believe in things having an energy and affecting yours but here is what I've found about dried flowers.
"As per Feng Shui rules these dead or dried flowers release dead energy into the air making the room negative. A lack of positive 'chi' can cause an adverse effect on your health. Chi in Feng Shui means the energy in your room, and having strong chi inside your home is a sign of having good energy in your home."

One thing I miss in my small town is the many culinary choices you can make, the wonderful restaurants.
Something almost unknown is the pumpkin "thing", coffee, spices and so on.
I think I had pumpkin soup once in my life and that's it.

At 72 I find when I watch your videos I miss when I was young, single and did things to please myself. Nostalgia for the woman I used to be, I was fearless.
Maybe it was the wheat in the flower arrangement, glad you got rid of it, my allergies have been acting up too. I enjoyed the walk with Sampson, my heart dog Hank died 7 years ago but we walked all the time, I always found it a bonding time with my pup and with nature.

Fall is my favorite season. I think there are certain personality types that especially love the fall season. Sensitives, empaths, people who deal with depression, anxiety and other mental ailments, and intuitives. Fall represents the calm after the hype of summer, when we settle down into our own coziness to prepare for winter ❄️ ❤ P.S. your dog is a fabulous spirit. 🐕

I just found your channel and love watching your videos. I don't have a clutter problem because it makes me a crazy person so I am a use it and immediately put it up, clean while I cook and make my bed everyday kind of girl. Otherwise, as I said, crazy person. Even though it's not my house I enjoy watching you tame the chaos and see the calm, soothing space emerge.
Your living room is really coming along and looks so nice. It has a cozy vibe. For me, I have to have lots of lamps, art and finished windows for it to really feel like home. I really like the peaceful life and mindset you strive for. The shopping for only needed items and clearing out the things that make us stressed.

Wow, the sideboard looks fantastic and you’re right, it’s the centrepiece that also houses all your things that are important to you. Pity about the autumn flowers, allergies are a pain. The plant that you questioned in the fall arrangement , I believe was wheat, which unless it is certified organic, likely sprayed with an herbicide as a standard part of the harvesting process in both the US and UK. Is thought to be what people who believe they have a wheat allergy are actually reacting to. Glysophate? Active ingredient in Roundup..

I agree 100%! I love seeing the super decorated homes online, but when I am at the store looking at the price of everything... all I can think of is storing the items. It's like literally storing money. No shame to those who do it because it brings me joy to watch other people do it. I also prefer more consumable items to use as decorations. Also, towels and mugs too because I can use them year around.

For fall vibes, I love simmering mulling spices with citrus on the stove and it really makes my house smell nice and cozy. I also have a few glass pumpkins that I set out along with pottery and fall foliage.

I have used earth breeze for two solid years now. I use the fragrance free one too. For tough stuff I use borax and stains I used soap bar.
We’re in northern wisconsin and I would argue our falls compare to new England’s beauty (but I’m a tad biased). Look up door county in the fall and it is breathtaking, you drive the panhandle along Lake Michigan and leaves are falling around everywhere, absolutely gorgeous ❤

Fall or Autumn 🍂 has definitely arrived in the south west U.K! Rain, wind and it’s much cooler (last week we had a heatwave!!). It’s certainly a change in season now x
Your nails look phenomenal! Gorgeous colour. I'm glad you explained the issue that affected your skin because I noticed it last time and hoped you were OK and not ill. I'm so pleased it was just an error of judgement (we all make them, God knows I've probably made more than my share, LOL!) and hopefully it will fade. Your face is beautiful basically, so this doesn't make any difference to that. You have good genes, I think. I hope you don't mind me saying this, because I don't usually make personal remarks.
As someone in the UK, I don't fully "get" this business about seasonal decor and celebrating the change in seasons inside your home. We don't do much of that kind of thing here, except at Christmas. We don't have Thanksgiving to celebrate and trick or treat is not everywhere here as it is in the USA.
BUT you have done a wonderful job in creating a cosy vibe, Carla. Sorry about the pumpkin pie and also the dried flowers (which looked great) - but the pine cones, the pumpkins, the candle! That vase (from your mother or grandmother, did you say?) is beautiful and of course your new piece of furniture. I am in the process of working out what furniture to get in my home, having moved a year ago and not having things organised properly yet. Your home is lovely. You and Samson have a very comfortable, welcoming kind of space there. It looks like a good life from where I'm sitting! I wish you the very best and send you warm greetings from across the pond.
Haha yes the decorating for fall is a newer thing for me personally. Christmas we always decorated growing up and that I love to do. I think any excuse to just cozy up a space when the weather drops a little bit I will gladly take! It’s like eternal summer here in LA so we love the slightest change in seasons🌞🍂
