Don't ask for blind critics. If an artist gets a bad canvas, he will not be able to defend himself.

This show is so fake the judges have to make crap up to justify ripping on other people to make themselves feel better

@@vincedacenta1013 It's not something for everyone. It's a tattoo where people are going to experience various reactions to it, some of them negative. If the body proportions had been solid, I think he would have gotten a better reaction. As they said, this is more a work of art you hang on a wall, and not something you carry on your skin.
@@vincedacenta1013As a woman, I don’t see what Freddy claims the tattoo is supposed to represent. I actually see it with a more hateful message about how women are ugly monsters. Which unfortunately I hear a lot of nowadays. I agree with DJ that someone might like art with this kind of message in a different format and not tattooed for life on someone’s skin because of how easy it is to misinterpret because I’ve stared at this tattoo for a while and I just don’t see what Freddy is saying.
There was a quote in a book I read recently that I think describes what I feel. I can’t remember the exact wording so I will do my best to paraphrase. If you take a symbol of hate and use it for something good does it change it’s original meaning? Or is it just an appropriated symbol being waived around by a bunch of idiots? While the situation is reversed here in that I don’t think Freddy had any bad intentions it still spins the same question in my head. What happens if you take a symbol meant for good but can’t see the good in it?
You could say art is supposed to make you think but by that logic a lot of things are art. Because let’s be real my chemistry textbook makes me think but that doesn’t make it art.

@@savannahlopez8251maybe, but it was still tasteful compared to Freddie's. I get that art can be uncomfortable, but it doesn't work for tattoos. I am willing to bet if his canvas had any say, they NEVER would have agreed to it. I don't think ANYONE would have agreed to it.

Yup. In the soviet union they did the same thing with removing people from pictures when they didn't tow the party line. I think it's called 'un-personing' or something. It reflects more poorly on the idiots removing him, than it does on him.

ya thats crazy they play his long analyses but just dont show his face. Jimmy Kimmel was photographed in blackface also but hes hosting a late night show but Oliver Peck cant even be shown on YT clips? Hell, Justin Trudeau was photographed multiple times in blackface and he gets to be the president of Canada. But one of the hosts of a reality show about tattoos? Thats where society draws the line.
@@JohnSmith-tk7nt i think it has nothing to do with the society but it's more like this shows has their own standard which can't tolerate something like that. it's not only happened to Peck, if you pay attention to the clips from season 10, they do the same thing to Daniel Silva since he involved in DUI accident (if im not mistaken) that caused his friend to deceased.
I was surprised they didn't include the tattoo where the dude completely butchered his girlfriends face
the new hosts are better tattoo artists then they are judges. all their critiques are always "idl this one" instead of something objective like "you blew your lines out"

Freddy’s was real art. I think those critiques were garbage. The tattoo was interesting and evokes emotions. There was no reason for them to be that rude. It wasn’t a critique, it was personal preference showing through
I love Freddy's work. It's unique and different. That's what I love about it, it's not a cookie cutter tattoo
Naw those proportions made zero sense. It had beautiful parts but parts were also beyond ass. But art is different to everyone.

I would never take advice from any of these judges. No eyes for talent.
Portrait tip - never draw the separate lines between the teeth. It will never work. Except if there is a definite gap between the teeth, don’t draw those lines.
What works for me personally is drawing the line only at the bottom to shape the teeth out. I sometimes include the top lining of the tooth depending on if gums are showing or not.
You have three hours to do a six hour tattoo. Why does it look like that? You gave me three hours

It is really horrific. Seen it on so many compilations here, and today for the first time I realized that the tattooer (can't remember his name) made the pin up look like himself in the face! 😂 It's a very typical phenomenon, when drawing a face from imagination, it will end up looking similar to what we see in the mirror every day - our own face.

I actually really hated that tattoo (and I liked his work overall). If my husband/boyfriend came home with that tattoo I would never be able to look at him. Which I know is the point and the fact that Freddie’s tattoo is so polarizing means ART, but yeah, putting that on someone’s body wasn’t the best plan.

Why didn’t Navarro ever critique his own tattoo guy? Talk about generic, colorless crap.
I know it’s for tv drama but it’s frustrating when you have canvasses that go into this knowing they could end up with a tattoo they don’t love for a variety of reasons and then allow the canvas to dictate the tattoo to the point that it won’t stand a chance of being well done because most canvasses can’t see the finished product the way the artists can. They say well you should have convinced your canvas their way would look awful yet at the same time say the canvas hates their tattoo so you are in the bottom.
They need to do a Pokémon themed episode

I disagree with DJ about Freddie's black and grey tattoo. The entire idea is that it's SUPOOSED to make you uncomfortable. It's honestly one of my favorite tattoos ever done on Ink master, and I'm being 100% serious.

All the judges are seriously the uncoolest panel that could ever be put together by a tattoo race show. It's theme so in itself it doesn't see the art as an art anymore. Just a race. And then you have 3 gay guys acting like most people you meet care about your bad decisions.
