Looked a lot more historic than I was expecting. After the bombing from WW2, I was excepting a brand new city, so real nice to find so much of the historic city has still been retained, cheers Alan
They did a good job with parts of the reconstruction but other bits were... urn well I didn't film them 😁 however they did a much better job of reconstruction then my former home city of Exeter so hats off to them! Thanks for watching and commenting and have a great weekend cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
I was there in September...saw most of what you filmed..I think the German people showed there true resilience in trying to rebuild as authentically as possible after the war...I see both sides..the British and German...I love visiting and teaching in Germany...the culture is very much like the Scottish... resilient but also appreciative.. Nurnbratwurst in the old tow is to die for!! Great vlog!
We've been following your walks for some time. Even though we do walks too, we still enjoy watching other walkers, especially in places we may never get to travel to ourselves. We love your smooth footage and pace and just wanted to drop by and say your walks are appreciated and that we are regular visitors to your channel. All the best to you.
So beautiful Germany and I have many friends there so stunning water lake river so beautiful relaxing and refreshing environment and that building so spectacular
All the city is very beautiful, with lot of wonderful places to visit. The townhall is a magnificent building and what to say about Nurember castle? Like from a fairy tale. Wonderful video my friend 👍
Thank you, it's a fascinating city full of lots of splendid architecture, I can only imagine what it ,us have been like before ww2. Have a great weekend cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
Spent a few years in Nürnberg - loved this place, full of history and charm.... Many thanks for bringing back one of the best memories, wonderful work❤
Hello! Such a charming city. Amazing atmosphere walking there with you. Thanks for touring me around, my friend. Joyful Sunday and see you soon! Renata
Thank you Renata for the lovely comment. I hope you have a splendid 2022 and I look forward to seeing some more videos from your beautiful country. Have a fantastic weekend cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
I was stationed near Nuremberg from 1971-73 and wish I had spent more time exploring Nuremberg. What a beautiful city and the history of it. Thanks for refreshing this soul.
thank you for watching, i'm glad this video bought back good memories. I'm sure your younger self probably had different priorities back then (most likely involving beer and other distractions!). cheers from barnyz
Did you ever find a place called “Chez Max “, it was a favorite Gasthaus of mine, not known or frequented by other GI’s. The social circle was local office workers and university students. I dated a sweet named Magdelena Maria Meyer. I left there in the spring of 1967. That Summer long I pined to return back to her, but life got in the way and then it faded. It wasn’t fair to keep her on a string. When I knew that I would never return. My dads business needed me as he laid in the hospital terminally ill. I still think of her even though she is a old lady now just as I am an Octogenarian.
Beautiful video! For some reason I was never the biggest fan of Nuremberg though I had only been there for work reasons. Your video made me reconsider. I will give it another chance and visit it in summer. Thanks for sharing!
thanks for watching. It's definitly worth exploring. It has enough sites of interest to make it a worthwhile visit. The main churches are especially amazing (I filmed the inside of them but didnt include them in the video for a number of reasons but mostly as I plan to do seperate videos on them at some later date).
Great video, I love Nuremberg. I've been there a couple of times and love the people, the bridges, the food ...... just everything! Thank you for sharing.
I was stationed in nearby Erlangen, at Ferris Barracks. The memories all came flooding back, as a young soldier I knew it was a historical and very important place. My favorite Lt stayed in Germany, hes still there. I'd not trade that time for anything, how lucky I was to serve and live in Germany.
This seems to be a very interesting place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
Oh man, such a beautiful place and you captured it so well! It's great to see the restoration of all these historic structures. Nuremberg is so beautiful with the river and all the stone bridges and it's good to see they took care of their executioner! 😁 Wonderful video and I hope we get to visit this lovely spot someday! Best regards to you guys for the coming New Year!! 👍👍😊💕💖👏👏👏👏
Thank you for the kind words. Nuremberg is very pleasant even on a grey cold day! It has alot to see so worth a trip some day. Hope you had a great new year and I look forward to seeing where you go in 2022!!! Cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
Indeed, hard to believe the city was devastated in ww2. This only shows the central part, I'm sure there are some less nice parts further out 😁 thanks for watching and commenting and have a great weekend cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
@@jinilover thanks for watching. Nuremburg suffered both bomb damage from air attack and was also fought over in ground combat at the end of the war so if suffered alot. They have done a good job of making the city pleasant and interesting again but I think pre war the city was probably one of the most amazing in Europe.
Such a beautiful city I love the old timber logs house it reminds me our trip in Alsace France . Would love to visit the castle and old part of the city . To bad the ww2 destroyed so much buildings. Beautiful video love the colors …do you use Slog-3 and do you do your own color grading? I am wondering what profile I will be using on my Sony A7IV …this is all new for me so I am looking at a lot of videos on RUclips . Have a great weekend Barnyz Serge H&S 👩❤️👨🌈🇨🇦
Thanks for the wonderful comment. For my a7iii I use the cine2 profile and then colour grade it in davinci resolve to try and make it look normal. I don't use slog as I have read that it's very difficult to use correctly on 8-bit video. As the a7iv is 10bit video I think you should be able to use it no problem. There are some videos by a channel called Gerald Undone that compares the different profiles in detail (however those videos were a few years ago so might not apply to a7iv) so I recommend checking his content out. Did your new camera arrive yet?
@@Barnyz Thanks Barnyz, yes it will be two weeks tomorrow that I received it . I am learning the settings now and doing some testing just in the house for now , and also had it balanced on my DJI RSC2 gimbal …a lot of new stuff for me coming from a Sony FDR-AX53 camcorder 🤯 The SonyA7IV has also the "Cinetone" profile which is much easier to use right out of the camera but the S-Log3 you can improve more the look of your footage but is also a lot of work and time consuming. Using a adjustment layer ( in the editing software) can also be used but it correct all the footage at the same time and then you have to into each of them to adjust them . I will have to do more testing and see what will be the best for me . I have look on RUclips many videos about S-log3 and color grading in FCPX which I use and will have to practice also before deciding what I will do . Cinetone seems interesting because it’s faster Have a great Sunday my friend 😉👍
@@SergeCousineau I look forward to seeing the results, would love to see downtown Montreal at sunset or night with snow. Also I assume the a7iv has the same built in timelapse function as the a7iii, you should play with that as well. Most importantly have fun! Cheers from barnyz 👍👍👍
@@Barnyz If ever you come to Montreal let me know we could receive you in our guest room there’s also a private washroom attached. We are in Boisbriand about 30 minutes north …nice little city close to the Laurentians area . Surely will do timelapses and Motionlapses with my DJI gimbal since I can program different points to follow and stop …crazy!🤪😉👍 But now with the winter and covered sky’s impossible to do anything of that and it’s very cold 🥶-20 Celsius we had yesterday but today back to around -6 …it’s the coldest period of the year here so a good time to edith and learn my new camera . I am sure having fun . This morning i am still doing test with Cinetone and S-log3 with the color grading tools in FCPX …i am getting to it slowly but sure .😉👍
