At age 50 I rode 3,123 miles across the USA with no support, no partners, no sponsors and no agenda. Out of the blue, people offered to give me money for my cause, which was processing the loss of my wife, who died on this day many years ago. I support cycling for causes, but I also support the people who cycle for the personal growth experience.

Traitors do not see themselves as traitors. The see themselves as either pragmatists or loyalists to a different cause. The American colonists were traitors to Great Britton when they rebelled and fought for their independence. Ukrainians were traitors to the Soviet Union when they sought their independence. Not everyone in Ukraine believes in an independent Ukraine.

Freedom needs a continuous good defense. Our response to the Hong kong disaster was nonexistent. It took 1000 years to develop freedom in the west, and we have been undermining it for 100 years, so lets follow the example of the People of Ukraine who after their enforced collectivised modern history deserve our support rather than our continued refusal to take the monsters of collectivism. The folk of the Ukraine look to the essentials of things, it is time the west did the same., and remember what it took to get us the freedoms and wealth we took for granted..
Who are we?. In watching the heroic Ukrainians die, we are finding out.
This should not be hard. Properly support those those tending toward Good, properly undermine, and attack those doing the opposite.

This is a nice story to tell ourselves, but the majority of the world isn't convinced. Our Free World relies on unfree people and places to serve us. The responsibility to protect and NATO have only been applied in service of USA interests. Hypocrisy is fairly common so I don't judge us too harshly, it's just good to understand what others believe. Hopefully this senseless war can end soon.

For 8 years, a NATO trained Ukrainian force of over 500k troops were unable to crush Russian rebels in Eastern Ukraine and Crimea... The Ukrainian military of 2023 is far weaker now and Ukraine has 20% of it's territory annexed by Russia. How the f is Ukraine supposed to launch any sort of significant offensive at this point? Russia has 3 lines of defense and after months of fighting, Ukraine has been unable to progress past the first line of defense.

Not unexpected. Georgy Zhukov once told General Eisenhower: "If we come to a minefield, our infantry attacks exactly as if it were not there." So, it looks like the Russians learned NOTHING from the Wehrmacht and the German generals after 4 years of being defeated by them in battle after battle. In the Finish War they did the same thing, with General Mannerheim meting out a more stunning and lopsided defeat to Russian troops that only knew how to mindlessly advance. When will they learn? Have become such a huge fan of the Brits!!! Perhaps its because of what they went through during WWII, but they are, to me, the most admirable …we at the US should hang our heads in shame in comparison to our relative support for a small country fighting a horrific aggressor in “modern” Europe-for us all! I am USN Ret in North Carolina and listen to your show often. I am at a loss where the Trump is bad for Ukraine narrative comes from. I talk to fellow retired officers and the best they come up with is Hillary 2016 campaign narrative that Trump is in Putin’s pocket. The US media loved it, but it was a real stretch. As far as the Republicans in Congress goes they are more interested in fiscal responsibility. What happened recently in Israel could easily happen here. The big difference being folks will not be hiding unarmed in safe rooms…. Keep up the good work

Trump is bad for Ukraine because having said he wants to stop the fighting, he'll end support. Trump likes to hold something over the other sides during negotiations, hence him telling Theresa May to sue the EU during the Brexit negotiations. So true to form he'll tell Ukraine to negotiate land for peace with Russia or be cut off from support.
