    I’m a Madmapper newbie and this answered my questions on how all this works! Looking forward to more videos. Just subscribed!

      Great! Glad it helped. Are there any specific areas of projection mapping you're interested to learn about?

      Luma Bakery thank you for the response! Maybe a video on how to create or acquire video/particle affects for example. Love the waterfall effects. I also had fun with your Thor’s hammer kit. Are these effects you create yourself? Some sites seem to be prescription based to download effects but haven’t seen anything like yours. I’m just working with video (and learning Madmapper) for now as a hobby but eventually would like to sync to music. Thanks again take care!

      Yes I create them myself. I'll bear your suggestion in mind when planning future videos :)

    I love your tutorials. I do have one question. I am creating my Halloween scene for this year using madmapper. I have one quad covering the whole home with with a moon and clouds. Inside that quad I have multiple quads covering all the windows. I was trying to use scene and cues but I am still very confused. I know scenes control every aspect of the show. Everything is looking good except the cloud and moon video clip is shorter then my other window clip so the scene tries to go to the next before the window video is done. Is there a way to exclude the moon and clouds so it loops continuing without interfering with the window video clips?

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  Год назад

      Scenes and cues can be very hard to master. I have to say, I never really have and I tend to do all my sequencing and editing in other software and then I bring the final, finished video into MadMapper to do the mapping. For me, it's much simpler

    Hi Luma , firstly thank u for this amazing tutorial but i wouldask if this software be able to run on 2 or 3 projectors at the same time with one PC? because i want to mapping a wall with width of 16 meter and hight of 8 meter so is this possible with mad mapper? Thank u again

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  3 года назад

      Yes, you can absolutely output to multiple projectors with MadMapper. This tutorial is about cake mapping but it shows how to use two projectors in MadMapper and you'd follow the same process with more projectors ruclips.net/video/XSiZTfjSIys/видео.html

    I am creating a show using scenes to play back to back videos and photos I have added and scaled each one to fit the best. Is there a way to put the auto play on a n infinite loop unless I turn it off. I want it to repeat the whole show over and over seamlessly without me touching it

    Dear luma, thank you a lot for your work, i learnt a lot from you. For my current mapping project i am using both scenes and cues, (scenes for fixation of things, cues to blend things together and fade outs) at theater i need to remap everything and update cues and scenes. But when a little thing in the projection area changes, i have to go through all my quads and scenes and cues to update things. Is there an easy way to update quads masks and feathers for all scenes? Thanks a lot

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  2 года назад +1

      You can copy the output mapping from the mesh and paste it onto the meshes in your other scenes. Still a bit of a manual process but much quicker than doing all the mapping again for each

    Hello! I am trying to use madmapper on a project i have and it has been hell.. I am using scenes with diferent video cuts and audio. When i use fade the audio crashes and sounds horrible.. can i use a fade that does not interupt my audio? I had to cut one video into 6 parts in premier to use each part on every scene but it doesnt look fluid... any help? Anyone knows?

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  3 года назад

      I also find MadMapper cues tricky and sometimes opt for either Qlab (into MadMapper with Syphon) or doing more of the fades in video editing software (Premiere etc) and then bringing the completed composition into MadMapper to get mapped. Sorry you're having a hard time with it, that sucks

    Hey I'm a student with the University of Baltimore. My group and I are trying to Map onto a Half dome constructed of triangles. Would this software be able to run a unity script through it.
    for example
    If we have a 3d modeled building
    Then project it,
    Could we then use a controller to interact and move in the space, while still using this software?

    • @LumaBox
      @LumaBox  5 лет назад

      I don't have too much knowledge in this area, but it looks like there's a plugin for Unity which would allow you to output via Syphon protocol which Madmapper supports. Maybe start your further research here github.com/keijiro/KlakSyphon

    Thank you for these awesome tutorials.
    P.S The white transition between clips is extremely painful for the eye and annoying, especially if you're watching the video in the dark. Even on the lowest brightness, it's still annoying.
