Words like tough, hard and legend are so often overused but McCaw is the epitome of tough hard and legend.
In a game as hard as rugby he was one of the toughest of them all 🐐
As a Saffa I honestly hated this man on the pitch, but really an inspiration and a phenomenal leader and player. And now a helicopter pilot too, legend!

Is it just me or for World Rugby Player of the Decade are these highlights somewhat underwhelming? No doubt he was great player but always thought maybe a bit overrated
It's definitely just you I'm afraid. These are just some of the many highlights of him and he was like this almost every single game. As the saying goes "everyone can't be wrong"
A lot of these video aren’t great, however it’s hard to show Richies consistent intensity on the pitch in a video, he was everywhere, always on the ball, always checking in with the team and never gave up. Unless you know rugby it’s hard to convey how amazing he was
