“Supposed to pop off, never fucking does” love how you left that in there haha.. that’s what all of us are thinking when a video shows it coming off perfectly haha…
I love CJ Pony part installation videos. I only buy their product so I can follow their instruction videos. I even bought a mustang so I can follow their videos.
I’m confused so will all the coolant come out or not? I also see comments of getting it flushed? Why not just fill it back up with coolant if it all comes out ?
2016 mustang v6 here. Here’s a tip. While the engine should be cold there is such a thing as too cold. Mine has been down for 2 weeks getting upgrades done and I figured it’d throw this on. Lost ALL my coolant 😁.
No you don't but to take advantage of it being a colder thermostat and to utilize it better yes u do so the tuner can activate the fans at 170 to help control temps better
i was wondering if i do install a 160 degree thermostat is their any concern i need to be aware of? i drive the 2016 mustang 3.7 which the factory one runs at 190f and the mishotto runs at 160f.
Does anyone know if this would help with high Cylinder Head Temps, I can't seem to get more than 2 pulls (stock btw) before they are above 230, then when I stop and they're at or above 230 the car will have a very rough idle.

Thank you!
A little bit of coolant was expected, when I heard bubbling and suction when I pulled I knew it was not the case lol. Garage floor is cooled
My garage floor is now also cooled 😂
When i swapped mine i didnt lose a little coolant, a whole bunch ran out on me. Took me forever to get the system bled right again
Hope part of this video makes it to the next bloopers reel 😂
🤣🤣🤣
damn who knew it was that easy!
Do you have to completely flush the System before installing, or can I leave it sitting over night and try the next day lol

Im looking for a correct positioning of the thermostat, i know the little bleeder valve goes a certain position
Did you ever find it?
It's Recommended for Stock 5.0 ?
Never a bad idea to upgrade, I have heard of several people getting locked up thermostats like I did.
Came here to learn how to do an OEM for OEM swap with parts I alr have, next time I'm gonna do an upgrade
Can you do a video on temps for blowers, explain and what areas to be aware of. Might help others that don't know
We are considering a video on IAT for our Tech Talk series which would cover that.
Will it help with lowering cylinder head temperature? Im running Full bolt on with tune and headers
Yes

Same smh
Definitely should time this when you do a coolant flush so you don’t have to worry about a bunch of coolant going everywhere
Yea why not drain some coolant out so it doesn’t make a mess.
Because of that F bomb I will buy some parts from y’all.
Just got blasted with coolant lol.. I guess we have different definitions of a little coolant might come out
😂
can you make a video installing a pp2 splitter please :)
Do you need a tune with this upgrade Thermostat?

Noticed how you said "you shouldn't lose much coolant" then at the end showed how yours was actually empty already. 🤔
😂
That's supposed to pop right off!
Why did they pick that name? Trying to get confused with Roush?
I would guess its the owners last name but not 100% sure.
Yes Bill, I agree. It is supposed to pop off but it never fuckin does
10 minutes jop I love mustang V8 look how easy is that
Drain it or else you going to regret lol
