    Blog:
The new Kalado KCV01 Cordless Vacuum Cleaner comes with two interchangeable heads, an extension tube, wall mount, UK power adapter, replaceable battery, spare filter, and a well written and easy to read user guide, all presented in a rather upmarket box.
The device of necessity is lightweight and at just 2Kg it is the lightest vacuum cleaner of this type I have yet tried, but seems well made and robust and can be almost fully disassembled for cleaning. It has a 5 Stage Filtration system and comes with two washable H11 HEPA filters, one prefitted. The unit is battery powered with a replaceable Li-ion 2200MaH x7 battery which can be charged in place or removed from the cleaner. It has a 250w 80000 RPM motor that has three power levels with a maximum 26000Kpa powerful suction performance. It defaults to the middle power setting which gives around 20 minutes of use, the lowest setting giving up to 40 minutes and around 14 minutes in high power mode following a charge of five hours from flat. Select the power level using the button on the motor unit. Unlike most others I have tried this unit has a display screen showing the current power level and alerts for full dust bin and Floor Brush cleaning. In use, it is quieter than most at just 65 dB.
It has several heads and accessories:
    Floor Brush
This is a pretty standard floor cleaning head with a motorised rotating brush and LED lights. The head can swivel side to side as well as forward and back which can give it something of a mind of its own at times but it works well when used with the extension tube.
    Dusting Brush
This is smaller and more softer acting than the floor brush. It is non-motorised with softer bristles and is designed for light dusting work rather than more aggressive cleaning. You might use it when cleaning a bookcase, blinds a TV screen or any other delicate surface that would be damaged by the abrasive action of a rotating brush and being smaller and lighter it is much easier to manipulate.
    Crevice Tool
This is a pretty standard crevice tool and this like the other heads just clicks on and off with a large easy to see locking button.
    Extension Tube
This is worth a mention because it is fully extendable with clicking preset stops giving a reach of between 92 and 112cm, so hopefully no stooping will be needed.
The cleaner has been designed with ease of use in mind and with that in mind cleaning the device could not be simpler. The main dust container has an easy access release button on one end and can be upended and emptied with just a single touch. For more thorough cleaning the dust bin filter and HEPA filter can be removed from the body with a twist for rinsing under the tap. The filter and HEPA filter can be rinsed under the tap and reused although replacements can be purchased cheaply from the Kalado Amazon store.
The cleaner comes with a simple wall mount which allows the device and tube to be stored neatly for charging.
One major selling point for me is the availability and price of spares and accessories from the KoladoAmazon store. Too often in the past, I have purchased excellent products from smaller companies only to discover that spares and consumables are either not available or absurdly overpriced. Not so here, replacement batteries cost just £44 each and a pack of two HEPA filters, just £11. My advice would be to purchase spares now whilst they are in stock and available at a reasonable price.
This is perhaps the most powerful battery cleaner I have used in the price range and although it does not equal a premium mains powered unit it can certainly cope with most household tasks. We use it for daily cleaning top-ups and to supplement our high-end cleaner for full cleaning sessions. The ease of use and light weight makes it almost a pleasure to use! The only letdown is that it is for dry surfaces only and cannot cope with liquid spills.
For the current price of £89 after discounts, this is an excellent buy.

Ive been looking on line at cordless stick vacuum cleaner. Seems like there are a gazillion of them. Came across your review, and you helped make up my mind to buy the KCV01 vac. Thank you.

It is a good device and worth the money. It is not as good as a high end Dyson or Vax but it gets the job done. Try it out and if you like then invest in a spare battery while they are now available.
