The official Toontown might be gone but the fanmade servers, mods and fans are still keeping Toontown alive for many people to enjoy to this day.
Is there a way to join these servers today? I’d like to play this game
Unfortunately I never played ToonTown, but it honestly sounds pretty fun. I remember being super heartbroken when Disney shut down Pixie Hollow, tho. Also, glad to see that you’re back, Zizi 🤗
There's a group of peope recreating Pixie Hollow! It's called "We the Pixies"! It's still far, FAR from being finished, but you're able to play an Alpha version of the game!
@@herbalwolfooo5413 That’s so cool!! Thanks for letting me know
ToonTown Rewritten has been here for 6+ years! (I say 6+ years, because I started playing 6 years ago. I’m not sure about it’s official release date, though.) You can download it for free, no membership needed! It is exactly like ToonTown online but without the Disney characters walking around in the park due to copyright, sadly. But, there are still the Disney elements to it, such as the playgrounds & streets (ToonTown Central, which is Micky Mouses playground, Minnie’s Melodyland, Daisys Garden, Donald’s Dock, Donald’s Dreamland and The Brrrgh, which is Plutos playground.) and there is also this one trolley minigame where you have to follow Minnie’s dance moves. You should try it! Even while I’ve grown older and matured, I still find ToonTown enjoyable due to it’s calm and polite fanbase, and of course, ToonTown in itself.
@@Art_pomeiz Toontown Rewritten went into Alpha the moment the original game shutdown. All the assets were put on the internet and that TTR team went to work along with many other private servers.
Since I have a love for Toontown, I have a hatred toward Club Penguin. That stupid penguin chat forum made Disney think it would make money and shutdown Toontown, Pixie Hollow and Pirates Online all at the same time in 2013. Yet a year or so later Club Penguin shutdown because it was very apparent that the game was horrible. Only stayed up a year longer due to Disney funding it. Those 3 mmo’s could honestly be here today if Disney wasn’t greedy, but they are still greedy 9 years later so nothing has changed. I’m glad that Penguin game is gone and the reboot being shutdown as well brings me much joy.
Funny part is, they shutdown Toontown but it was designed to match the portion of the theme park. There’s a literal toontown inside Disneyland and they shut down the game and kept the toontown in the theme park. Currently being revamped as of 2022? So I assume they finally decided it was time to remove it lol Only took them 9 years to decide it.
Interesting! I've actually never heard of Toontown before, but it sounds like a fun game. I'm glad that players were able to preserve it in Toontown Rewritten so everyone could keep enjoying it.
ive been playing that but also corporate clash.
it has a lot of new content.
Corporate Clash is much better. The team is much more dedicated to it and they have released a ton of new content recently that's probably better than anything even Disney would have added (I don't think Disney would have added anything like the Chainsaw Consultant)
Wanted to try out Toon Town as a kid, but thankful I got to play the rewritten version.
I was addicted to TTR for the longest time. Loved every second I played.
Also the commercial in the vid threw me so far back. The one with the warp hole to school was awesome too
as someone who was born after 2000
my only real MMO expirence was Moshi monsters but due to no english knowledge at the time i was RARELY popping in and out there
mostly playing flash random games i found or watch YT OR play CD games from kids magazines
(yeah i have no childhood like you or others, but its fun to learn how those things were)
Yee! The OG pilot launcher even had a scrooge mcduck and gearloose plot but they changed it to make the game open ended. Essentially, scrooge hired gearloose to create machines to automate his business, but things went wrong and the factory that made the cogs couldn’t be shut down and gearloose became captured and it was the player’s job to rescue him and get rid of the cogs for good. (From memory) corporate clash and tooniversal studios also exist that play with the concept. Funny farm is a rebuild of the very first concepts. There’s a few other projects that haven’t really gone anywhere tho
disney: "no money its wasting time"
toontown: literally having subscriptions
Definitely was a sad day during the closure back in 2013, but so happy that Toontown Rewritten is still up and thriving with updates as of today, even after all these years.
Shout out to everyone who played 625 sandwich stacker
Toontown... so nostalgic. Thank you for doing a video on it. :)
Social credit +100
Grew up playing TTO and have been playing TTR for the past few years out of nostalgia and I just love the game and it’s community ❤️
You should check out Klonoa, it's a cute platformer and it recently got a remaster for both it and it's sequel
Damn girl didn't need to wait even a month you poppin off #misszizisweep
dont remind me i still gotta max lawbot and bossbot and still need to do all of the field office stuff
Unlocking memories, aren't ya Zi?
Rewritten was how I played the game since I couldn't afford the subscription as a kid
DOG This was the S*** aside from the major transactional areas in the game (being Disney)
But what was really top tier; Monkey Quest
are you toon enough?
i grew up with toontown and i even had recorded it shutting down.
dont have the footage anymore though its been lost for years.
there is another mmo that was shutdown but got revived by fans.
city of heroes.
got i love the necromancy power pool.
I think my brother played it, I remember seeing the rewritten or og version on the family computer (which slowly became mine cause I used it the most) but I never played or heard of it at the time, cause I played wizard/pirates 101, or Monkey quest, or PokeMMO
another toontown player... nice!!!
I'm not old enough to go back to 1987 but i'm glad another person likes cartoon network☺
If anyone wants to play toontown, but doesnt want to play the original version that is highly outdated, Toontown Corporate Clash is the best server out there in my opinion! They've completely redone all the tasks, took out a lot of the grinding, added a whole new cog type, remastered and reimagined the lawbots, redid an enitre bossfight with new cogs and are slowly doing this for each cog type, and that's not even all. They realy care about future proofing the game, which I love as well. The only downside, is there's only about 500 people usually online, so it's hard to find people to do bldgs etc. But then they announced a new update that would try to fix matchmaking even if you don't have enough toons to complete something! The game is an absolute blast, and I've completely dropped TTR after 100s of hours.
It's even better after 1.3. I absolutely love all the boss fights they added, they all very well designed and none of them can be cheesed easily
Personally I would prefer it if Disney never touches toontown again because then they might try to take away toontown rewritten which would really suck.
Same but because of Corporate Clash. Disney wouldn't add anything as difficult as the Chainsaw Consultant or Pacesetter fights
I never got to play it, but I got to know thanks to a fan game called Toontownronpa.
Very fun game, got me curious about the franchise
I know this comment is old-buT- TOONTOWN HAD A FANGAME!?!?
Is it good- what's the plot- ANS WHERE CAN I DOWNLOAD IT
Hi miss Zizi! Missed ya!
Wake up babe, new Zizi video!
I will not accept this club penguin slander sitting down, you'll be hearing from my lawyers.
You have a lawyer?? No way I didn’t know you are a lawbot!! :O
I never played toontown unfortunately. But I've always wanted to visit the toontown in the Disney parks! And now im never gonna get to do that ;-;
As someone afraid of goats, your avatar conflicts my interests
I do recognize toontown online I remember going to their website and checking out their RUclips channel.
VoGrace is neat!
5:55 that's why I don't want to try club penguin or believe it can be a good game. I was so young when it closed, even if I was able to have my old toon back :(
I tried to play Toontown once as a kid and it wouldn't run. And for some reason, I never tried again.
This video was just so interesting but very good
Hope yall have a great day
I might have to check it out! It seems fun.
This is probably a very unpopular opinion but I never liked Toon Town that much. I much preferred Pixie Hollow and Club Penguin. I never really understood the hype with Toon Town. I guess I just preferred the “life simulation/social media” games.
I keep reading the channel name as miss zaza
Actually Toontown isn't leaving the parks! Disneyland's Toontown is just getting renovated, it's not going anywhere :D
Oh I see why Disney shut it town. People realized that the Cogs were just modern Disney so they had to pull the plug
god damnit less than 3 seconds after I wrote this you said the same thing fug
Not related but I just checked your profile today and you have 100k subscribers now!
I have a question
Never heard of it
Your character kinda looks like a character from A Goofy Movie. That's not an insult. It's a good movie.
Cool 👍
Fun fact: Toontown's composer is the same dude who composed the metal gear 5 and rising OST (I'm not joking look it up)
Hi 👋
