Hey Zina, I’m actually the person who sent you the Dm at the beginning of the video. Now I don’t wanna be one of those “OMG THX YOU FOR PUTTING ME IN YOUR VIDEO” type of people but all I wanna say is that I’m happy to see that I was one of the first ones to tell you this. Art Theft makes me sick to the bottom of my heart, I literally can’t stand people who thinks stealing someone’s art for some dumb kids channel is okay, As an artist myself this has been one of my biggest fears, but I’m glad that you noticed this and handled the situation thanks to me and possibly a couple of other people who noticed it. I very much admire your art and I too hope that this situation will never happen again ❤️
there was this crazy story about a girl not only CLAIMING stolen art, but CLAIMING the account of the actual artist who watermarked their stolen art. it was horrible, because that artist that they stole from had actually passed away, so the actual artist couldn't defend themselves. how low, could someone be to steal someone's art, let alone someone's who isn't even alive anymore?! it's really sad.
Art theft really is no joke, just listening to this makes me so angry that people would stoop this low. Best wishes for you and other artists that have to experience this, it's tough for everyone.
That art thief is stealing and traced alot of art because that is not okay to trace people's art! And thanks for this video for uploading for explaining about this video!
When she said “those type of videos that are pushing sexual shit onto children and that RUclips is doing nothing about” I realised I wasn’t the only one. That shit damaged me and probably ALOT of other kids at a young age. For me it was i think 6-8 years old If you watched this without knowing what it was, tell me the story of what happened afterwards [if you feel comfortable with it tho].
I understand my brother watches inappropriate stuff with FNAF, FRIDAY NIGHT FUNKIN, and of course “THE ANNOYING ORANGE” that I don’t think you know, but posts dark humor. And my brother is FOUR YEARS OLD watching disgusting stuff like that and some how he never got in trouble. That’s why I hate people like that. EDIT: he also watched stuff with “huggy wuggy” and yes I used to be a fan of all these until I figured out about this, and all the disgusting stuff in the fandoms.
No. No. Miss zi zi. As a fellow artist Your reaction is PERFECTLY VALID. he admitted he was in the wrong and STILL proceeded to do it. Defend your art with your life.
I am sorta an artist too but in my opinion not mixing your emotions with this type of matters prob the best thing to do, because that way ur reputation stays neutral or good, rather than making ppl think "I dun wanna associates with tht person, if i made a mistake imma get yelled with curse word till my eardrums expload!", Hate the crime not the criminal.
I am somewhat an animator (but very bad at it) and the best part of being a small channel is that you never have to worry about people stealing your art, especially if it looks bad (:
This is why I hate those weird youtube kids animators. Not only is their content extremely freaking gross and weird as its supposed to be aimed towards CHILDREN, but 80% of the content is usually traced/stolen or just simply NOT THEIRS.
a friend of mine, lets call him c, once also made a nsfw vid w his countryball oc and my countryball oc, though that happened in september 2023 and we already forgave him
Reposting my comment to fix some stuff: I can't believe there's people in the comments going "OH BE GRATEFUL THAT SOMEONE STOLE AND TRACED YOUR WORK. I SEE IT AS FLATTERY!! IT'S A COMPLIMENT TO GET YOUR ART STOLEN!!!" It is NOT flattery, nor is it nice to have your art stolen by someone on the internet. It's even worse if they trace it and claim it as their own. I've had multiple cases where someone stole my art and edited it over disturbing and VERY graphic images of real life events, and this went on for a full YEAR before they finally stopped. I was stressed to hell and back. Having your art stolen, edited or traced is *NEVER* a positive thing. There's a fine line between tracing to learn, and tracing to steal. If a kid traced your work and showed it to you, be nice to them, since they could still be learning. Teach them that tracing to learn is OK, and to not post it online. Even with credit, posting work you traced online still counts as theft. On the other hand, if a kid traced your work and is claiming the traced work as theirs with no credit given to you, you should still be nice to them but remind them that tracing and claiming the traced work as your own is still theft. If they refuse to listen or are insisting that they drew it, and that "you" stole their art, report the image or account and block them. Chances are, it's a kid who knows its wrong but still does it anyway, or a troll trying to get attention.
EXACTLY! I got my art and character stolen recently and I only figured it out after my friends got the stealer banned, so I think of it as funny, but before I knew the account got terminated I stressed out so badly since this has never happened to me before due to being a pretty small artist/animator. Now, after that experience, I always put my watermark on the art so it doesn’t get stolen again, and I will NEVER ever think that something like that is flattering.
@@PLASMAHORROR SAME, except for me, I never can get any banned. I started from one thief to many random kids since Pixilart doesn't care, and it's possible to do that with collabing on there.
@@MUDZIEE I used to report thieves on other sites, but after a while, the site stopped caring. Hell, they stopped caring when my art was being edited/stolen, and only did something when I told them that the thief was threatening me with a fake IP address.
I had a similar experience where someone edited out the watermark of my art and used it in their video that got over 1M+ views. They proceeded to use the art again in a compilation after I took down the first video. Just know that these people know exactly what they’re doing and they don’t care. Never give these people any benefit of the doubt. Sorry this happened to you.
It sucks. It really does. Hard working artists get sidelined while art thieves or trash people get all the work and steal and get paid, all the original artist stolen from gets is misely credit?
As a tracer myself, I just want to trace so I learn better techniques not everything I draw is traced sometimes tracing helps me but in this was it's horrible I never release any of my traced art and nobody should, I am 100% agreeing with this video
The fact that anyone would say that you're "overreacting" when you're mad about someone stealing your art makes almost close to as mad at said stolen art
I get your point but in my opinion, the best way to settle serious matters like this is doing it maturely and professionally, not mixing up your own emotions with the matters would be the best action to take in this predicament
@@ren8876 I mean, it’s hard NOT to get mad over something like that. Imagine someone coming up to you and punching you in the face. These comments acting like is a good thing for your art to get stolen, Guess i should be happy if someone steals my Bike since that means they think is a good one
not a good comparison dude, you didn't make your bike, a company did. when its something you made yourself, with your own mind, and some kid steals it, some artists find that flattering- and i mean when a KID does it, not when some fucko youtuber with billions of views does it
@@CrazyGreenFluff There are people who make their own bikes and things though. And even if it's a kid, it's still not good, because they'll grow up thinking it's ok if no one tells them not to do it.
@@CrazyGreenFluff Ah, well I guess when a company steals money from you, you should be grateful! Since that's what that person did, after all. Using two channels to make Bank off of stolen art.
Why didn’t he just commission you instead of paying someone else to do it? I’m sure if he had just commissioned you for stills of Skye he could’ve avoided all this trouble. Edit:Goodness look at all those likes! :0
This is more profitable. He can steal from many, and expect only a few to claim (if any). That's much cheaper than commissioning tens of artists per video.
Maybe the other person prices are cheaper Afterall higher quality = higher compensation and I feel like paying someone to trace a character would be pretty cheap
As a trash artist, Literally when people trace art then dont give any credit, its actually kind of infuriating because art takes so long to make. Im glad this never happened to me.
the fact sky is shown DRINKING is sad, like she's 12-13. She's underage, she isn't allowed to drink at all. I can see Carol and GF since they are 19, they are over 18. Sure they aren't 21 but as long as they are not minors, they are fine.
I feel like I heard from somewhere that Sky is actually 18+ and it was her original owner that was a minor. Idk, there's probably some posts about it somewhere in case you want to fact check it.
@@christianwright7581 BBPanzu said that her age is actually 12-13 and that when she shifted realities she kinda aged up in a way. The original owner is in fact a minor
It is still illegal to drink if you are under the age of 21. So Carol and GF shouldn't be drinking either, ESPECIALLY if the video is targeted towards kids.

I understand completely. My friend used to trace my art and recolor it to look like his OCs, and then sell it to other students (Because for some reason it's a weird trend at my school to sell other students your art.) And he made about 40 dollars off of selling his TRACED ART for 2 dollars each. I couldn't really do anything about it until once he accidentally left his I-pad in homeroom. I got on the I-pad and opened what he used for art (I don't remember what it was since this happened like 2 months ago) and wrote "Copycat" all over *every single drawing* he had copied off of me. I don't know why he did that, because in my opinion his art is so much better than mine, but yet here I am today. Missing a friend, and have 40 more dollars in my wallet.

Dude what the heck, this youtuber's art is literally being traced and used for gross content and here you are, making random jokes and not caring, like dude art theft is serious and we shouldn't be making jokes about it!
Thanks for bringing awareness to this issue, art theft is a serious offense, especially when used in inappropriate ways. There's is creepy dude on Instagram that's been harassing me and tracing my friend's art, (and doing inappropriate stuff with it.) I no longer enjoy using Instagram because of that account. Worst of all, he keeps changing the @ so that Instagram can't track him and people can't report him. He even has started sending death threats to whoever asks him to take the gross/rude posts down. The captions are horrible too, for example "this is my art, not that rat wh*re Mikey's." I hate it when people behave in such a mean and immature manner :(
as an artist myself, I would point out that there is a laso fill tool available for medibang. this is a MUCH faster method than manually painting in an area of colour with a brush.
I know about this but, for some reason I stopped using the lasso tool. It might sound dumb but I think it's because coloring it in as done in the video feels more like it used to when we were children. Even though it is a bit slower. I've always found coloring an image to be the most relaxing part.
I seriously can't believe someone gets paid for tracing and not the artist who actually take the time and did all the hard work. Who cares what everyone thinks? You have the right to be angry and let out as much emotion as you can over this! Everything this person done is so shady, slimy, and disgusting! >:(
@@Allityxari. It is necessary to prevent humans from devolving. She draws a fnf mod on a computer because it's too cringe to draw irl where people can find it. And then gets mad that it's being reuploaded which is also cringe since she's not patenting it because it's cringe!
I’m so sorry this happened to you Zina. The problem with art theft nowadays, is that there’s less protection and help from the platforms it occurs on. Then you have these kid videos if you can even call them that, who get away with things because they have flashy colors or have children in title.
Whats funny is the fact that in his channel it says that its like in USA? And they ordered from a Russian freelance website? There is two options: 1) they are lying about art source 2) they are a Russian who lives in USA/somehow proved to youtube that he is USA to get more money and ordered from a Russian artist cause its cheaper. In any case, this is ridiculous.
I don't think he ordered her art traced so much as he ordered art and the person who made the art just traced art so I don't see how it's his fault instead of the person he paid? I would be pissed if I paid for art and just got stolen traced work.
@@cablefeed3738 i said nothing about tracing i just pointed out that he is either lying about buying an art ( basically traced himself), or he actually paid and that means that he is doing little bit of scamming xD

As someone who has had my art stolen before, this is a very annoying experience, but they found some sort of way to justify taking it. And I was only in middle school, so thee wasn’t much I could do. So basically my art was stolen, and I had to deal with it. Which really annoyed me. I hate it when someone spends time and passion on something only to have it stolen by lazy people who won’t just draw their own art instead of stealing others.
I had my art and OC stolen once. I did a thing where I drew the OC and wrote their name on the side and the one time I forgotten to put the name, a week later I found it stolen. Somehow, people thought I was the thief and not her? Despite the proof that she had also stolen from other artists? It was so frustrating to be berated with such stupid comments. Thank the gods that I actually had friends on that forum to defend me and my art because this whole sh*t happened while I was asleep. Compared to what they did, I think you're response is pretty much what it should be.
The mention of the guy going "this will cause me great harm if you do this" reminds me of the emails I got from a dude named "Pony" when I was trying to get money back from him when I was informed he was a scammer. Why is that a go to phrase? lol Like, I highly doubt you'll be in some kind of fatal danger for doing the right thing when asked to lol
This makes me so fricken mad. My art was actually stolen yesterday and hnrfgggg like people, understand we artists actually work on these things?? And art-stealers do literally nothing!!!
On Instagram I remember that some people were stealing my art and impersonating me and the fucked up part is that they were impersonating someone who has Autism and ADHD. As a person with two mental disorders, it makes me uncomfortable when people try to steal my art and pretend to be me. I think they were trying to mock me which pretty ableist considering the fact that I have autism and ADHD. One of the people who were impersonating said that my dog was there boyfriend which was gross because he's an animal and zoophila is wrong. I told friends about the situation and the accounts got reported, later on the accounts pretending to be me were banned. I'm glad that it was over. I was 14 at that time, even though it didn't last long... I was scared during that situation and I felt like I was being exploited, I felt like my personal space was being invaded. The people who impersonated are banned from Instagram but the scars were still there and I'm worried that there are more people impersonating me and stealing my art. It was traumatizing.

I want to say that I am sick of seeing tracing being almost normalized. I've called out like 4 tracers during 2020/21 and all cases ended up the same: me being the bad guy because I "falsely accused innocent artists"! What?! I would ALWAYS prove my claims with the original artwork and then the overlays showing the trace! Last time I did the person defended themselves saying "I did nothing wrong, you're just looking for drama" and the moderators kicked ME for searching for trouble! They stole an artwork and wouldn't take responsibility and denied it even with proofs! How can you remain calm with this?!
@@smg4reblooperd182 that doesn’t mean it’s not stealing. It’s okay if you trace the whole drawing and copy the color IF you keep it to yourself. But showing it to public is downright disrespectful and SHOULDN’T be normalized.
Fun fact: tracing is completely fine, IF YOU *_DONT_* CLAIM IT FOR YOURSELF. Tracing can be helpful for learning how to draw some stuff, like anatomy or construction. I played a drawing game called gartic phone and I needed to trace some stuff in some of the modes, but from that I learned how to put some of the things I previously didn’t know how to draw into my own drawings, completely fine and actually helpful!
@@__darkfuneral when you first start out as an artist, tracing can be a way to practice and learn how to draw something. MANY artists, even professional ones, started out by tracing images of things they liked, like pokemon or MLP. once you feel confident enough to draw without tracing, that's when you stop.
I'm guessing the point that he was making about him not tracing the art himself was that the artist didn't tell him it was traced. In that case I have a lot more sympathy because he basically got scammed. Personally, I think where he really messed up was not honoring the deal on his second channel and then complaining when she striked the other videos. Then again, there's also a decent possibility he was lying about the art being commissioned in the first place.
Yeah that’s what I thought too. He probably paid for a person to trace your art without him knowing that the art was traced, and he didn’t know what he was getting himself into. He would have to pay both you and the guy he commissioned and that would just be a sucky situation for him because he didn’t even know the art he paid for was stolen. But of course, that is if he didn’t lie about his story. However, him doing that on his second channel even though you legit just told him the art was stolen just made me kinda redact my sympathy for him.
This whole thing is the equivalent of someone legally buying a bunch of expensive jewelry* and reselling it, and then the cops come and fuck with them because the person they bought it from had stolen it. * Eta originally cheap jewelry; I'd have to watch the video again to see if there was a reason I said cheap, but I'm sure I didn't mean to denigrate the art; sorry, I should have been more considerate of language

This is one thing I'm concerned about when putting any of my characters that I'll put in my future comic on DeviantART. I'm just some nobody on here and over there and wouldn't want something I created be essentially destroyed by someone else.
The fact youtube creators will do anything for money and views to a point where they will throw extremely nsfw videos at kids as young at 5 for that recognition is disgusting and has to be stopped.
When I saw their name I realized that the same person who going around trying to cancel Ninja_Muffin because of who Ninja_Muffin was 3 years ago (talking about them being racist, transphobic, etc) which kills me bring old stuff up when that said person changed over time since than why bring it up now??
I agree, I used to be so much racist, acted depressed, told people to k1lL themselves, however, it has been REVERSED. [3 years ago] I'm pretty sure some people might be like that in the past. And I mean MOST
I guess one interesting thing about this is like, I'm not sure where my channel stands when it comes to using art, I suppose. I make memes, mostly about FnF, monetized. I know I'm not stealing the art, everything I use is always credited, and I usually look to see if I can use it without having to contact those whom own it. For example, the base FnF game has a ReadMe. That being said, not only do I credit, I always try my best to make it transformative and I make sure I'm easy to contact in case I may need to take a vid down on the creator's wish. So maybe I'm doing it right, that makes sense to me, but I'm not sure anymore. Some Contents of this video, how I interpreted it, basically means I'm unintentionally stealing art, which would suck as I really enjoy what I do. (And my profile pic is original. I got this commissioned by my cousin, I'm paying her for it. We based it off of BF's proportions in order to implement it into the game easier, and is based off my favorite Pokemon, Absol, but the design is original)
Ooh i tought you meant something like rule34 by gross. Oh that's relieving. I also see this channel for the first time, and I'd like to say that I find your drawing time lapse very satisfying.

Not gonna lie here, about 2 or so years ago, I was an art theif. I traced a lot of art. I did it for attention and wanted praise. I remember always showing my parents and friends like, "Look what I can do!" I traced for about 6 years I believe? But the older I got, the more guilty I felt, especially when some people caught on to it on Deviantart. Later, at 19/20 years old decided to deactivated my DA account and start fresh. It was horrible at first because I hated how I wasn't talented, but kept telling myself that I will get better and I will improve. I put my knowledge from tracing to test and have a basic understanding of anatomy because of it. My new DA account is almost 3 years old now and I've improved so much with my art and I became more confident in my ability for art. I'm not the best yet, but I'm getting there. As for the artist I always traced, I started donating to their patreon when I could and supporting their work because they are very and wonderfully talented. I guess you can say that I had my redemption ark.
I always get angry when people trace or just simply don't give any credit and act like that drawing is their's. So i can see it must be worse knowing YOUR own art being stolen like that.

Reposting my comment to fix some stuff:
I can't believe there's people in the comments going "OH BE GRATEFUL THAT SOMEONE STOLE AND TRACED YOUR WORK.
Exactly
Uh, WHAT? Ive had kids just steal my art, not even trace it. One was even sickening that they stole my description to. Those comments are bullshit

@@krisn4026 no she wasn't and I'll explain if needed
@@smg4reblooperd182 Of course you should explain. She was the victim of theft and the individual who used her art acted in selfishness from the start. She went hard on him, as she should have and any artist who falls victim to this.
Theres ALOT of beef on Spete already, so this just makes it worse. I'm sorry your art got traced Zizi, you handled this well!
spete is unrelated.
@@vezziGD not exactly, as zizi said the video was made BY spete, But hes not the main point of the video, so maybe I should'nt have brought that up. Sorry !

This is what I’m fearing, I’m slowly working to become an online comic artist and I fear this greatly, tracers are bad but sometimes they’re kids that know no better. The ones that full-on edit out your watermark. Just no, they KNOW what they’re doing and it’s plain stupid. They think if they make the character a different colour/shade nobody will notice, but we do notice. And they just get in trouble.
Please be careful when posting your art out there
i saw your art on google! My brother watches that channel and i saw your drawing on google. I’m literally so sorry you had to go through this. But yeah-
you are completely right in every shape and form. nobody should steal/trace artwork and or claim it as their own. And ON TOP OF that have it stolen from those weird ass animations that are 'for kids'. Overall i am disappointed in people like this and people who claim and or trace art. Thanks for reading! ^^
my art was traced too ;-;
good on you for taking action on them
I'm sorry :(
I'd rather have a migraine all day then have my art stolen.

When I saw their name I realized that the same person who going around trying to cancel Ninja_Muffin because of who Ninja_Muffin was 3 years ago (talking about them being racist, transphobic, etc) which kills me bring old stuff up when that said person changed over time since than why bring it up now??
cancel culture is pain and i hate when they do that, like yeah they changed like u said
I agree, I used to be so much racist, acted depressed, told people to k1lL themselves, however, it has been REVERSED.

We based it off of BF's proportions in order to implement it into the game easier, and is based off my favorite Pokemon, Absol, but the design is original)
nah as long as you're willing to take down a vid when the creator of the art doesn't want their art there it's perfectly fine, at least in my opinion
Ooh i tought you meant something like rule34 by gross. Oh that's relieving.
I also see this channel for the first time, and I'd like to say that I find your drawing time lapse very satisfying.
I had someone steal one of my videos, reuploaded it, and when I told them to take it down, they did for TWO DAYS. Its so annoying, and it sucks that people think that it is ok
Technically they did take it down, you didn't say for how long
Gotta love the amount of anti-protection laws and guidelines put in place AGAINST artists. Rest in peace, Internet Safety and Protection for small time and influential artists.😔❤️
off topic but the oc you where drawing in the video is so cute!!
Realistically speaking, there are already 1K+ channels that traced and used your art that are monetized with no less than 10k subs.
"Why did you strike my second channel"
"Because it's still my art, mate".
Yeah, they're a content farm there is no "him", but there's no rules against having more than one channel or even having more than one covering the same content.
My fnf mods and videos have been used to death in those weird videos, there isn't much you can do about it sadly
Why no replies?
RUclips pov:
Stealing, inappropriate content and other stuff: yeah that seems fine to me
Me showing my SOCKS: * takes down almost half of my videos *
Me when i was younger: This is over reacting.
Me now: They did w h a t
Damn that's rough, it's really nice artwork in my opinion and it sucks to see it being stolen.
Why do these people with big egos think they can get away with this.
Pretty sure majority of their fanbase are naive children. Naive children don't know that much, so they think it's just some random art by the person and making the person get away with it
Narcissism pure Narcissism

As a artist if someone fucking took my art and got hella more views than me I’ll be pissed
My mind went: ooh, I love your style! So pretty and so cute!
my art was stolen once by someone with a significantly larger following than me, it was so annoying, stealing from a smaller creator so nobody believes them? disgusting. stealing from anyone in general is but, you get what i mean.
shoulda demanded part of the money the video made
Your art looks so familiar, I think I saw an ad for a game website of the same character Sky with the same artstyle
And it was horrible, the ad was like this
Sky - her outfit + bikini
It's basically saying replace the outfit with a bikini outfit
i saw that ad too and realized that when i saw this vid
@@thegamingwolf8892 Yeah the ad is just disgustingly cringe, isnt the creator of the OC a minor?!
People shouldn't steal your art, because your art is amazing!
RUclips: How dare you use the word “crud” on my platform! No monetization for you!
Also RUclips: Huh? Stolen art? Presenting sexual content to children? Clickbait content? Using children for profits?
*No problem here!*
Like ItsFunneh said: "originality is rare nowadays"
Bruh, imagine stealing someone's art and using it for gross stuff.
i was originally on the other guys side he didn't know it was stolen and wanted to keep the videos up but eventually agreed to remove the art but after the second incident i am 100% on your side.
i misunderstood the title 😨😨

I'm a small content creator, and, I've seen this happen (even if it never happened to me) Now, if this happens once or twice, I'll be like no other human being and be happy, since I've gained popularity, BUTTT if this happens over and over, I'm gonna research everything and learn to take that video down like how I learned to find my phone number, [REDACTED]
Damn, it sucks that this happened to you. I saw it go down on Twitter and it's honestly shameful and disgusting of these thieves. On another note, those videos seem like a bot chewed up and spat out the biggest trends that kids these days are into. I don't understand how a living person could make them. They seem so factory generated.

Is it that hard to just, commission someone to do that instead of tracing them? That's literally extra steps you can avoid entirely if you just slid some money under the door.
If someone traced me i would cry shit pee and 😴
Just realized that you care about the little details while drawing sounds like a thing I need to learn thanks I'm not sure what to say you've made me learn a new thing to do while drawing
I remember when my friend came over to my house and I showed her my art and she really thought I wouldn’t caught her trying to trace my art and she was gonna show it to the whole class- LIKE GIRL WTH- 💀✋

This is one the few times I heard of where the copyright striking on RUclips was used entirely appropriately and on a rather deserving target.
this is why i only send my pure art to very very close friends
That's why I never used fanart in my videos
I've never had my art stolen, but I've had content stolen, and wow this is relateable.
