Jeremy Greathouse Probably to accommodate European tax regulations with regards to emissions etc. Basically they re tuned the car to be generally more affordable and/or attractive over here. The gear ratios are different too. We won't get the higher gear ratios on the EB, just 3.31, not the 3.55 or 3.75.

They could have solved that by adding yellow LEDs with the red glass, but maybe that didn't work. Rumor also has it that they thought we would find clear glass 'more classy'. No way to know that for sure really.
I miss the 2013 Shelby GT500 with its supercharged 5.8L V8 662bhp 631lb-f torque and 6 speed manual. That thing was soo fast. Top speed was 200mph+. The 2016 Shelby GT350R is a track beast even tho it doesn't have a supercharger and only bad 526bhp with top speed 175mph.

warrior7772 The Mustang name is a reference not just to the horse, but also to the WW2 fighter P-51 airplane. The toggle switches etc give the dash a bit of an airplane feel. "Ground speed" is an aircraft term for your speed along the ground. This is different from the "Air speed", which can be higher if you are diving for example, but is also takes into account how the wind is blowing. (it's your speed relative to the air mass).
Sam Tripp Sure those other cars are just as good, but you would still be driving a car that hardly stands out from the crowd in Europe. Not to mention some of those you named are quite a bit more expensive than this car at a comparable trim level.

OK that makes sense. Do you have any idea why the tail lights on the Euro car are clear and not red like the US models?

that's embarrassing, the likes of hot hatches such as the A45 AMG, Golf R and new Focus RS will keep up with or be faster than this lol.

The worst thing ford did to the Mustang is make appeal to European tastes.
