When does a Christian realize that speaking in tongues is just speaking a different language?

Actually , there are DIVERSE KINDS OF TONGUES. V 28 : " 28 And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, VARIETIES of TONGUES. There are tongues of MEN and the tongues of ANGELS , see 1 Corinthians 13 v1. The tongues spoken by the disciples in the Book Of Acts on the Day Of Pentecost were HUMAN tongues unknown to the speaker but understood by those from different ethnicities in their own language and these tongues DID NOT NEED INTERPRETATION. The tongues that PAUL was referring to that was practiiced in the Corinthian CHURCH were those that NEEDED INTERPRETATION as they were the tongues that 'NO MAN UNDERSTANDS' : 1 Coritnhians 14: "2 For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries. " And so no, it is not a simple concept at all as you have shown that is easily misunderstood by your statement. 🙂

Paul said " For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints." - 1 Corinthians 14:33. God was not the author of confusion in Corinthian church.
False tongues churches deceive people by calling themselves Pentecostal church meaning that they are speaking in God's tongues in Acts 2, which was understandable by hearers.
False tongues Churches should be called as Corinthian False tongues speaker Church.
Main wrong teaching of False tongues False Christians is that if some spirit fills a person and speaks in a language unknown to the speaker, it is God's Holy Spirit. All Evil spirits can speak in different languages through possessed. Study Bible on Evil spirits speaking through possessed when Lord Jesus Christ drove them out, when Satan spoke to Eve, when Evil spirits spoke to Paul, etc. It is the biggest lies of False teachers to claim that some Evil spirits possessing few and speaking through them as God's Holy Spirit. It is indeed Blasphemy against God's Holy Spirit to call Evil spirits as God's Holy Spirit.
Be warned that these False tongues False Christians will not repent till their last day in earth. Keep away from False tongues False Christians to protect yourself and your family from Evil spirit possession, which will destroy your life and your family and your children's life.
@@Beethovan , if you will read the context of Paul's admonition, it wasn't at all that they were manifesting a fake gift / charisma but that they were speaking in tongues in the church WITHOUT INTERPRETATION. SUCH tongues would be the subject of ridicule when an unbeliever entered the church. So Paul taught that unless such interpretation was given, one should speak to HIMSELF and to GOD.
So, the gift in itself was not false, but the PUBLIC EXERCISE of it was unacceptable.
As I explained in my previous comment, human languages is NOT the only kind of tongue.
How then can Paul say that he who speaks in an UNKNOWN tongue needs interpretation and at the same time say he speaks mysteries to GOD ? Why does GOD need INTERPRETATION?
