This is very interesting! Hopefully, the Tibetan monastic schools can come together and recognize the immense value of treating women and men equally. It will be of benefit to all!

Very interesting video - indeed it's true that in the end having the full ordination as a bihikshuni seems more like a formality. Maybe I'm wrong about this but I imagine that for very devout and very good practitioners one can achieve realisations even without receiving the full vows. However perhaps being able to receive full ordination would be very good because it would be a way to show that there shouldn't be differences between men and women in the ordained Sangha. Perhaps it would be very important that especially now, in this century this tradition of full ordination could be restarted - that would be amazing. And having more female Tulkus being recognized and etc.

I would very much like to obtain ordination as a nun. My name is Kimberlee and I am interested in becoming a buddhist nun. How do I go about doing this?

Go for Chinese Buddhism if you are looking for full ordination. Theravadins and Tibetan Buddhism do NOT ordain nuns. Theravadins and Tibetan Buddhism have provided all reasons to NOT ordain women.

That seems to be a good compromise. If the lineage has died out then it's gone. However if there is a complimentary lineage you can take that works. So the nuns just have a different vinaya to the monks.
