Thank you everyone for all the kind words. I'm doing my best to read through the comments, but there is too many to be able to respond to them individually. But I want you all to know how much you have lifted me up and reassured me. I feel the love
Ignore or delete the hateful comments and you don't owe anyone information about the specifics that relate to your family, business....yada yada. BUT, please hear me: I am able to understand that there is more to your family story, and how you are going through SO many emotions that have NOTHING to do with typical couple "issues," that lead to divorce. I'm not spelling any of that out here, because it's not MY story. When I went through a divorce after atypical relationship choices my ex made, I couldn't fully express to people how I felt, because I felt stupid, like I missed something that was clearly in front of me (which it wasn't.) I felt embarrassed and unlovable. Don't carry that with you... because none of that is true. You can only be responsible for YOU and the rest is out of your hands.❤
Serena, I have been watching your videos for over a year. You have a gift for always bringing up the positives in every situation. As you said, everything you have inside will lift you up, and you’ll figure it out. Sending you hugs and love. Love your content and will continue watching. Hang in there ❤
I lost a 20 acre flower farm because of my ex and I now have a smaller farm that's all mine and nobody can take away from me. It is devastating in the moment but just so you know, you will be absolutely fine! We love you just as much as your content and will follow you! Remember Lisa has small space and she did just fine! Same with North Lawn FF. Please keep making videos even if they are from starting over. A lot of us have had to do it and you will inspire people not to quit. Farming is hard. Moving, illnesses, crop failure etc. It's all real. And now you are starting with experience so you can do things better!!
I’ve watched you turn a yard into a food jungle, land into a farm, and a farm into a thriving business. I’ll happily watch you turn your next house into a growing, living, vibrant home for you and your kids. I have complete confidence that you and your children will be able to make the next chapter amazing.
Serena ♥️ you DO NOT have to explain your private life with us. I’m so sorry for what you are going thru. It’s a major life hurdle. And even when it’s amicable and agreed upon, it’s still extremely difficult. I wish I could hug you ❤
Serena it's your private life and you don't have to explain to anyone what is happening in your life god is good and will direct you in the right direction you take care Vivien in northern ireland ❤❤
Your private life is just that…private. Take care of yourselves and the children, the rest will work itself out. I will still be here to watch your videos, whenever you get to that point. Please take care. (((Hugs))) for all of you from Saskatchewan.
I've never been one who has commented but I have been a faithful follower of your channel. I just wanted you to know that I believe we will all still be here for you. Looking forward to seeing all things bright and beautiful (of which you are) and anticipating, with you, great things ahead.❤
New subscriber. Your channel just showed up in my feed. You’ve got this. You will find your own new path and grow with your new home and garden. I look forward to watching it happen.
Hang in there. From one divorced flower farmer to another, please take care of yourself, be gentle with yourself, be kind to yourself. I'm looking forward to watching your new creative direction.
I would love to watch you slowly transform a new space, with veggies, herbs and flowers that you love the most. I'm excited for you. Not covering over the pain you're experiencing, but also believing 100% that you will find your way through and grow and emerge renewed and stronger. Sending lots of hugs.
The "Thunbs Up" responses are not "Likes" but shows of support. YES! VIDEO EVERYTHING. The house when you first move in; the house as you change it or fix it up; the land around you as you develop it--everything.
You’re a very honorable woman to not trash your husband and for looking for the best way to protect your children. My heart hurts for you. Praying God heals your heart and leads your steps
@@meowiestwo "all genders" There's two. And yes, women do this far more than men. Far more because they get an enormous amount of social currency from the "you go girl" mafia.
@@susansmith493 nonbinary and intersex people exist. There’s not just two, that’s a simplified understanding. So sorry about your internalized misogyny. It must be tough to live with that.
Hi Serena. My name is Crane. I have been watching your channel for 3-4 years, since I was learning about growing flowers until now I have a little backyard flower farm on my own. I never comment because I watch RUclips on TV. It’s amazing and spiring seeing you and your family. I have been learning so much from you. Thank you very much for sharing everything with us and I want to let you know what you are doing have an impact on so many lives. I don’t know what to say and I can’t imagine how hard it is for you but I am sending love from here. I am confident that you and the kids will make it through. I can just tell from your work ethic and positive mindset. ❤️❤️❤️ Crane
Serena, as you grow and change, we will grow and change with you. Here's to a new beginning. Take a deep breath, shrug your pain off and let's get ready to move mountains.
Serena, You need to get council from a business lawyer, preferably litigation atty. a Do not see a divorce lawyer first!!! Since the business was held as a partnership there should not be a plan that he “gets” the farm and u get the kids( nothing to do with loving them. I was forced out of a very successful business thru a divorce with out good counsel. and really got sc---. My ex still has the bus and it is a mega business now. No one discussed my rights, just treated me like the little women…. Long story. You need to treat this as a business partnership split, the divorce can come later. Respond if you want to and I can help you. I live in WA state. I know this is devastating…fight!!!!!
I watch for you not him, don't stop. Idc if the space isn't big. We love waching you ❤️ and support you. You're very honest about your plants and the reality of flower farming. 🌼
I work as a divorce mediator everyday. Trust me you are not alone. I am not leaving I think you can crank out some great content as you move through the changes. Thumbs up for you always.
Serena, you wont't loose me! I love your content and spunk. My heart goes out to you. Im a year past divorce and loosing my big garden. We can both move for into our start over gardens. I planted garden huckleberries and dozens tomatoes and flowers in a little patio this year.
I'm so sorry. I absolutely respect you waiting until you were ready to share; it's your own life, you get to decide. We're here for you, can't wait to see what you do next.
Perhaps you could create an own patron account. Sure there are folks that would like to support YOU! I am watching this channel because of you and am learning sooo mutch!!! Hugs from Germany
Oh, Serina, beautiful lovely, Serina. I am so sorry to hear this. However, I am very relieved…yes relieved. I was so afraid that you were seriously ill…. I mean the worst. I am 80 and divorced. It was my choice and I waited 27 years until my children were grown. Fortunately, my closest and dearest friends were also divorced. They had already been on the crazy rollercoaster ride of emotion that happens. They tolerated all of my moods….sad, depressed, self pity, “I am woman, I can conquer anything “, etc. That is my first recommendation to you….spend time with people who have been down that road. Keep a gratitude journal…..no matter how bad you’re feeling there are always things to be grateful for. Keep a daily journal if that helps you. Do something that makes you feel good. Right now you’ll think you will never feel good again, but you will. To my complete surprise I started writing poetry. Oh, did I write poetry! Some about my feelings, mostly about nature. I was thinking in rhyme all the time. It was very strange, but good, too. As far as your RUclips channel….we love you. We’ll follow you. We’ll watch you wash dishes, make jam, wash your windows, tie the kids shoes, fold the laundry, whatever. What is going on in your private life is not our business. Will we support your channel? Hell, yes! Fear not precious one. You are loved and never ever forget….your Guardian Angel has your back. 😇 If I were not so far away I would take you in my arms and give you a big hug and just hold you and cry with you and rub your back and tell you will make it through this….like any grandmother would. Sending you hugs and love. It’s going to be ok. You’re smart and driven. Love you, love you, love you. 💕🙏🧸
We get to know these people we follow. They become part of our extended family….even though we never meet them. Loving others and caring for them and helping where we can is what life is all about. I cried all through Serina’s message. They’ve worked so hard for their dream…only to work themselves apart. It is so sad. My heart breaks for her and all the emotional turmoil she will go through. She will get through it, but it will take a long time. I hope my words will help in some small way. 🦋🕊
Your video popped up on my feed. You are a strong lady and just listening to you, I know you will get through this. You have a new subscriber and I look forward to following your journey. Stay strong!
Never apologize for how you handle a life changing event. No one does it right and no one does it wrong. Most importantly, no one deserves any personal information from you until you are ready to share - if you are ever ready to share. 🌱♥On a secondary note, if you are up to it, I am sure many of us would enjoy following along with your move into your new place without any gardening clips attached. Empty house tour, adding in your bring alongs, shopping for new things via amazon with links so that if any one purchases what you bought, you can get a small stipend for the purchase as I am sure any $ would be very helpful for setting up your new life. A channel that does Amazon hauls really well is Valentina, her today's video is called "We are Decorating for Fall" were she does an Amazon Fall Haul, it's not gardening but it is a great example of how to seamlessly integrate amazon purchases into her videos. It would be worth checking out from an educational view point.
Also maybe going antique shopping! You guys must have amazing second hand stores in there! If Ian will start another channel please let us know so we can also support him!
We got your back girl!! I had unsubscribed when I moved off my farm in the okaganagn, losing my farm was too sad so I had to change up what I watched. Anyway RUclips just pushed this video and I’m so glad it did. I bought a smaller house too and would love content around growing food in a yard. Big hugs and support, you got this ❤️
Serena, so sorry to see that you are hurting 😢. I hope that you are reading all of these comments because your RUclips community is behind you. I learned so much from you and started my own cut flower farm this year near Ottawa. I will continue to watch your videos and hope that you, Ian and the kiddos can quickly settle in to your new situations. Stay strong ❤
What heartbreaking news for all of your family. To think you have tiptoed around this painful chapter in your lives for all these months just makes me want to cry. Please just know that we are sending you continued support through viewership and simple decency of care and concern in the messages you’re reading. I will look forward to your renaissance and send you hugs through the Tube. 🤗
I started following this channel because of YOU, and will continue to follow because of YOU. I want to learn from YOU. Make that content on the new property and teach us how to start from NEW😊. Prayers for you, Ian, and your family.
I'm so sorry to hear your news. One of the things I love to watch is the development of a new garden. Garden Answer is doing this on a large scale and I'd be so interested to follow you as you develop your garden. Not all of us have large pieces of land to work with so I imagine your channel will be very relatable. Take heart, you have many happy gardening days to come.
Girl, take his email off for your contact. We want to contact YOU! Was always here for you, your flowers and your design anyway. Wishing you and your kiddos just the very best right now. You got this.
Just happened to stumble on your channel tonight. I am very sorry for you and your family, divorce is so hard. It breaks my heart for you and your kids, I see in you a very strong woman, AND you will make it 10 fold. Just hang in there my friend good things will be coming your way. I will be back the next time you post. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers hugs from Seattle Januari 🌺🌺🫂🩸❤️🌸 11:16
❤ Serina, we're not going anywhere, we'll all be right here, wishing we could hug you. That was a rough thing to have to tell a bunch of strangers, but believe me, we ALL wanted to give you the biggest hug! And we all probably cried with you too.❤
I will stand behind you, Serina, and support your RUclips journey through this unfortunate situation. I survived breast cancer, losing my house, losing my job, losing my marriage and then losing my father all within 3 years. Having your own space is very important at this time. Building a new business and perhaps you will have more time to help other flower farmers succeed as you did. All is not lost, be very kind to yourself and your children, find strength in your ability to bounce back and smile. We all love your smile and we will be here for you.
@@customcutters yeah that's the vast majority of farmers. but not everyone who has a farm inherited the money to buy the land, some people are tenant farmers, and some people save up and can buy some land through years of slaving away at their careers. i know someone who was renting to a young couple and when he was dying of cancer he sold his small farm to them, way under market value, private sale. some people just get lucky.
I am sorry to hear this as I know it is very difficult for all of you. I have joined your channel today and will continue to watch your videos whenever you are able to post them. I look forward to seeing you build a new garden along with a new life.
Single mom urban farmer here. I feel you. You are going to do amazing things for yourself and your children in YOUR future. It is easy to get caught up in a marriage of being a “we” and forgetting that you are also a “me”, so finding your bearings during and after a breakup can be terribly disorienting. You are going to get through it all and emerge stronger and more confident on the other side. I’m in East Tennessee cheering you on and sending love across our beautiful Smoky mountains to you.
Divorce can definitely screw kids up. Even a clean and amicable divorce can. A lot of people assume that parents breaking up on good terms equals happy kids, but it's not necessarily the case. Even in this video, she broke down in tears. And that's how a mature adult reacts to the situation. A kid can take it a lot harder. You can't see her crying and think "this is going to be amazing for you and your kids." It could be traumatizing. It affects people in many ways, both consciously and subconsciously. You can't always assume divorce is for the better. A certain amount of bad comes with whatever might be good.
Wow, that just actually hit me in the feels..."forgetting that you are also a "me". Not the same situation as them but high stressors right now, and hearing this-thank you. It's these types of positive, encouraging, but also vulnerable/real messages that people remember!
the best advice I can give you is to get a lawyer even if you have to go into debt to do it. Things may be amicable now but you will thank me in the future. We love you and your channel.
YES. Especially if he’s got a lawyer or is talking to a lawyer friend. If one doesn’t speak legalese one can get hurt & pressured into poor decisions. Lawyers prey on vulnerability because it’s precisely when humans make poor decisions out of sadness or anger.
Absolutely… get an attorney before settling this! You should be getting half. Your RUclips channel is NOT a business that is separate from your farm. Unless he can give you a cash settlement that is 1/2 of the value and all your cash assets combined he will have to sell the farm and relocate also!!!! At least in most states! I am in WI and this is the case! Great point.
This is the first video I ever saw of yours. Please share your growth. You are brave. I want to support your new chapter and your courage and strength so I subscribed. You are a beautiful soul.
I think doing vlog style content, a bit like allotment farms or Roots and Refuge does. With all that knowledge you could also start consulting business to help people start their farms. Show us renovating your house or interesting places you go to. I follow lady who also recently went through divorce (Back from burnout) and she is now killing it. Just take it easy and something will come. Short videos are ok, keep them coming. I miss rumbly lives as well.
I'm excited to see the creation of the new garden. I'm sure it's going to be amazing, and even more relatable than the farm content. Team Veggies all the way!
The algorithm brought me to you a couple of weeks ago after googling ‘cut flowers’ and the video it showed me first was from 4 years ago. It was very clear this business was YOUR dream and your passion and why it’s been so successful. I’m sorry for the loss of your marriage (mine ended after 23 years) and for the loss of your beloved farm. I’ve seen many women rebuild and trust me, once the grieving subsides, they come out bigger, better and stronger and their passions really start to shine ✨ I’m not going anywhere and look forward to seeing what you decide to do with this next chapter in your life. I have no doubt it will be wonderful 😊
My wife and I have watched you since we came upon your channel during COVID. at the time we had a small vegtable garden. With your inspiration we doubled the size of that garden and added a 80 by 30 ft flower garden where we have grown 20 different varieties of flowers, mostly for family and friends. You were and are an inspiration to all of us, weather you are a full blown multi acre flower farmer or a back yard gardening enthusist. We will continue to watch and support your youtbue station no matter where you are. Thank you for all you have done and we both know youo will successful.
Serena, long time viewer here. When you were young did you ever dream that you'd be an influencer and content creator? Probably not! But here you are. What a mega talent you are lady! Your work as a family on the farm has been truly inspiring. Your knowledge and presentation skill is remarkable. I'm sorry that things haven't worked out in your marriage but know this: you are remarkable and we stand with you.
I’ve been a quiet watcher for years. I loved watching your journey on the farm, your progress with farmers markets, the little booth outside your home, the kids and the kitties. All the flowers inspired me to add more flowers within my vegetable garden and not just in the flower garden borders I have. You two were always thoughtful in your conversations and sharing your experiences. That’s probably why even though I rarely comment, I wept with you during this video. I pray you all can heal through this and all come out stronger. I will be watching/rewatching a video or two or three from you each day, from start to finish, to help support revenue flow over here. We mommas gotta stick together! Sending you hugs from Minnesota zone 4.
Serena, you aren’t alone! ❤ I can assure you that you will heal from this painful time. Our children, gardening and pursuing our passion give us purpose and strength. Change is scary, but it will work out! Your gardening community & followers are here for you! Hugs💚👩🏻🌾
Hugs Serena! We'll be here. Your videos helped get my little farm going two years ago. Looking forward to seeing what the future holds. You've got this!
I got divorced after being married 27 years. I tried everything to avoid it for years and years. I now realize that was a mistake because it was never fixable. My only regret was i wasted my youth and now i will be alone in my old age. But that is better than being miserable every day. I know it doesnt feel this way now, but it is a blessing. You are getting a second chance to live your best life. Sending you all my love and prayers ❤️ 🙏 ♥️
Never say never about finding love again. I got divorced after 25 years of a miserable marriage and found true love at 49! We’ve been together a total of eleven years and married eight of those eleven. 🥰
I got divorced after 28 yrs. It was the worst thing I ever went thru. Luckily had a part time job and an aunt to help me and keep me going. You have your children and that is wonderful. Yes I wish you the best with the new home and land.
@@laurieclarkson9180 Not just women. I gave my wife--shared with my wife I should say--26 years of hard labor and effort, and realized it was being squandered on someone who never really cared. We divorced 7 years ago and now that I'm retired and out of the woods, both literally and figuratively, I've never been happier!
You have such grace, Serena. I going to love watching you develop your new yard. I didn't always look at the flower farming content because it's not something I want to do but I love plants and I think all of your viewers do too. I think your channel could be even better with lots of different types of content that comes with a new place. I will definitely continue to watch!
Oh Serena, YOU are the farm, you need peace, huge hug, god moves us to take us into a better place. I lost our market garden , it was soooo painful, I thought I was finished, but… I now have a beautiful flower farm, you and your babies will be just fine. It’s scary, you will cry a lot, but you will soon realise it’s the best thing ever to happen xxxxxx I’m here if you ever need an ear xxx Jo
There really should be a sad emoji button. I have been in your shoes too about 18 years ago. When I wanted to keep the farm sadly he wanted to sell it so we had to put it on the market. My girls and I relocated to the south coast and for the past 17 years I have owned a Lolly shop in a small village which I had to close last year due to the landlord wanting his building to use for himself. Watching you looking so crushed I remember that feeling of overwhelm, the unsurity of what will be your future. Don’t despair we love watching you and learning from you so no matter where you go or what you do we will be here cheering you on. In those moments when you feel overwhelmed remember you have your community here who appreciate you and if we could reach through our screens and give you a hug and wipe your tears we would do it. Ive only started growing again full time last year, and I am going to give it 100% of my heart and effort and pray for success. We definitely want to see your new home, moving in, settling in and starting your new life….We will be here watching you grow into your new life. Sending you and your children much love and a kiss for each cheek. You’ve got this 🥰 Much Love Theresa - Australia
Sweet, sweet Serena...we're behind you all the way. Share when you feel like it, we'll be there with you! God bless you & your children as you move forward.
I am very sorry to hear about what you have been dealing with. I have been watching you for a few years now and will continue to watch you moving forward. You have so much to share. Always remember you are stronger than you think. You got this!!
This was hard and sad to hear. However, your RUclips family supports you completely. I look forward to your new channel documenting your new life. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!
Omg girl, I am so sorry. Please please please start a “buy me a coffee” so we can support you during your next HEALING faze!!!!! Going forward can wait; heal now!
This announcement is heartbreaking. Sometimes our best efforts are just not enough. I wish you Serena, Ian and the children the very best going forward. Be kind to one another.
These parasocial relationships are so weird, I feel like you’re my friend and I wish I could bring you a lasagna or something 😂 I’m sure you’ll find great stuff to share! We’ll all be here for it!!!
Aww Serena I'm so sorry , take care of yourself , you and Ian are one of about 4 channels that massively got me into growing my own flowers and starting selling bouquets
You got this! this is my first video I'm seeing & just subscribed in support of your new path, sending you gorgeous yarn wrapped crochet hugs from Australia 🤗
It's never too little, too late. Thank you for sharing and we look forwards to the new format. You'll get through this, I promise. Worse days will come. But then good ones start trickling in, then you'll find yourself in a better place to actually enjoy the best ones. Grieve and process everything at your own pace and please don't forget to look after yourself sis.
It's, something that happens to so many of us. Please be kind to yourself and take baby steps to overcome this. Don't expect to get back to "normal" quickly. It has taken me several years and I still sometimes think I'm going backwards. I love learning from you and will continue to support you. Please take care. Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your new adventures Love from England 🏴
I've never gone through a divorce, but two years ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I tell people the day I was diagnosed was a very lucky day, because it was day 1 of my recovery and healing and moving forward. I also discovered others who had gone through it, and the outpouring of love and support was amazing and so heartwarming. Today I'm cancer free and getting stronger every day. May you feel the love and support you deserve and love your life ahead. Hugs.
I was diagnosed with 2 different aggressive breast cancers in 2019. I sold my home and moved to an apartment while I was under treatment for 3 years. During that time I discovered Serina and 3 other amazing flower farmers. I was so inspired that I decided to leave my 30 year career in Real Estate to follow my passion. Cancer was a gift because I started to live my life. I have learned so much about this difficult business of growing flower and continue to follow the women who influenced me. I am so grateful for everything and hope Serina will very soon find the joy in her life again! She has our love and support. Cancel Reply
Share everything. Your viewers are invested in YOU. I came here when I started my new job as a delivery driver for my local flower shop. I was suddenly obsessed with flowers and wanted to grow for market. It didn't take long to fall in love with your personality. I'm sorry for what you're going through, but I believe this is the beginning of something beautiful ❤
She will be surprised how much time she will save w/o that 'extra child.' Being single is sooooo much better. The last thing she needs is a man. Yeah, life costs more, but the lack of daily bs is a dream come true.
You are entitled to privacy and respect at this difficult time. Your friends will stick with you and those who don’t aren’t your friends anyway. Wishing you the best even if it’s hard now.
Very sad and difficult, but i would certainly be seeing a lawyer and not just walking out on a business that you helped to build. Not sure of the law in Canada, but you are a business owner. Dont have to explain anything to anyone, i have just seen so many women who loose financially in this situation.
Hi there I have no dog in this fight , but if Ian walks away financially better off than his wife does he’ll be the first man I’ve ever heard of doing so , Divorce is never easy , hopefully they can be respectful to each other at least in front of the family
Sounds like they made a deal. She gets the RUclips channel all to herself, and he gets the farm (that she admits she wouldn't be able to keep up with financially).
We're here for you, Serena! From your baby days in the city, to Team Veggies, to the Flower Farm and now your independence journey.... you have brought so much sunlight and inspiration into all our lives. Thank you and please believe that we wish you all the best and will gladly follow you. You've been that friend in the wee hours that was awake to talk shop while we worked.... that friend who could talk seeds forever when everyone else would run away... you were here for us... please let us be here for you! Hugs and love to you!❤
Serena, as yo our name’s meaning is, you build this dream farm. It’s unfair how he keeps it when you’re the soul of it. Many times, losing something or someone it’s the best that can happen to a strong dedicated and confident woman like you are. Many of us have been in similar situations and I know you are able to get a beautiful farm of your own. God has everything under control better things will be in your path. You might be able to rent a farm to start your own or rent to own the land. Where are you located,? I don’t remember. I’m just starting from scratch myself and even though it’s hard, I know it will be better than before. We might be able to start a group of women to collaborate together and work to start this kind of business and help each other get it going. If interested contact me. We are here to support you and remind you that after the storm here comes Serene. Blessings!
oh Serena I wish I could give you a big hug through the screen. I found your channel during the pandemic and enjoyed watching your insatiable drive & cheerful energy you had throughout the hard arduous work you were doing. Life is filled with unexpected ups & downs, this is just the start of a new chapter. Take as much time off and come back start your new journey with a clear mind. You're strong and you can do this! I'm curious about your new garden and look forward to seeing what you'll accomplish
I'm going through this right now I just left my dream a week ago to live in an apartment. He's keeping the property. I couldn't even put my heart into the garden this season I let it go. It took me years to do this too and I'm thinking about you and hoping that you can be happy. At first it's really hard there's less of different emotions for sure but I just know that it's going to be okay and I hope that you will be okay as well. It's devastating to leave your love and your dream but at the same time you have to be happy even though you tried to find ways to be happy in the situation you were in. I've been with my husband for 10 years and lived off grid for half of it or more than half built a life with him and invested everything I had into the life. I feel you so much I'm so with you this is so hard. We will rebuild we will rebuild our lives the way they should have been built in the first place. 💔
This just came across my feed. I wish you the best of luck and strength going forward. Be careful with your finances and no rush. I think you have the inner strength and balance to carry this on and expand into a new path.
I don’t live in Canada and I don’t own a flower farm, and I don’t even shop at farmers’ markets but somehow you guys hooked me to your channel with your humor and amazing chemistry. Watching you guys working nonstop on those beautiful bouquets and wondering how much you would sell at the farmers market was must see tv for me. Sure sometimes I would stray and watch other garden channels but I would always come back and binge watch episodes. So this news hit me like a ton of bricks because I only watch your channel on tv where I can’t see the comments. I went back to rewatch the videos on my phone and that’s when I saw the where’s Ian comments. My heart breaks for your family. I am just stunned and shocked. Thank you for sharing your gardening journey. You guys will always be my favorite tomato based life forms.
Hi Serina, I live in the North Okanagan, I'm a high school teacher, and I'm just starting the process of turning my childhood home into a flower farm. Your videos have been incredibly valuable in the process of learning how to grow flowers, especially knowing you are located close by. You're an inspiration, truly, and I look forward to learning more from you in the future. Not only do you have so much knowledge to share, but you are have a gift for teaching others. Your passion for growing is contagious. I wish you the best in what must be an extremely difficult time of change.
Oh Serina, I'm so very sorry to hear this. I'm so sorry for your pain and your struggle. You seem to be handling it with so much strength and Grace, even if that's not what it feels like to you. No matter what you do as you go forward come on you certainly have my support. At some point in the future, you will find joy in a new normalcy. Between now and that time, the road may be tough but you are tougher. I'm so glad that it seems as though you will be financially stable, that you can buy your own place, that that's not an impossibility. What a relief. I'm so very glad that you have the Inner Strength and continue on so admirably. I'm very excited to support you in your new endeavors. Sending love and hugs to surround and protect you. You are a fine example of not giving up, of being able to pivot and march on, not missing a beat. 💖🤗💐🍅

Sending lots of hugs. Newly divorced myself… make how to grow videos each type of vegetable, herbs and flowers like a diary of each (seed to harvest) we will be here always.. YOU GOT THIS!
Serina you’re the first flower farmer I followed. Now I am planning on retiring and starting a flower farm Made me excited about farming. But favorite thing about you is your laugh. Looking forward to viewing your new y tube on your place and hear your laughter again. Louisiana flower farmer
I'm so sorry to hear this, Serena. Sending strength to you and your family as you navigate this. I will definitely keep watching your new growing adventures (food and flowers)! Much love to you!
So sorry Serena!!! You are such a hard working and inspirational woman! You got this girl!!! I will continue to follow your journey on RUclips as will many many others! Praying for you as you navigate through this difficult time. Remember the rainbow comes after the storm…you deserve a beautiful rainbow! 🌈
The first video Ive seen from this channel. Dont know why or how the RUclips algorithm decided to recommend this to me. But, from watching this one video, I've subscribed. May your channel go from strength to strength - I'm sure it will.
Serina, we are here and we are staying and I hope that brings you some amount of comfort through this transitional chapter. I do honestly look forward to seeing what dreams you come up with at the new place and will be following along to be a part of building it with you at whatever pace feels right to you. We love you and we love Ian and the kids and wish the best future for y’all.
You guys have accomplished so much this year considering the circumstances! And made it nearly undetectable that there were such big changes happening. Thank you for continuing to put out content we all love so much. You Can't Eat the Grass has always been my favorite channel on RUclips. Your hard work is so apparent and inspiring.
Instant subscribe! This is the first time I have seen one of your videos and I can't wait to get to watch you build your new life! I've been through divorce and it really sucks. It looks like you have an amazing community on here to hold you up. ❤
I'm so sorry to hear that you're going through this. No-one needs an explanation. It's not part of a contract we sign. However, when you said you feel overwhelmed at the thought of speaking to us all at once, I think perhaps take comfort instead knowing the well wishes being sent your way. Be kind to yourself. You can see from the comments we'll be here waiting ready to pick up when you are ❤
That, that doesn't break you, makes you stronger. It's hard to move forward after a devastating blow, but you will. Just remember how many people out there run a big flower farm....not a lot. By starting over, where you began, you will help those who just love to garden and work with their land...big or small. They will have a timeline of things important to start with, and building towards a goal. Season by season it will evolve and you will find joy sharing it. Just carry on, smile like you are happy, and eventually it will become so!
So, I found you tonight so I will take it as a sign from the universe that I should follow your channel. Life sends us curve balls but we survive, and we grow. I am going to peek at your house blog now. Good Luck
Understand. You have my support. Look forward to your new content. Go in your own direction Serena. Your voice and personality is what keeps us watching. Just focus on your new direction. No need to go back to old content subjects at all.
You did it! I hope you felt all of our virtual hugs wrapping around you as you worked your way through that difficult video. So many valid feelings. I'm feeling curiosity and excitement about your future content. I hope you're able to feel that too.
I'm crying for you too and had to pause the video several times to keep from having too much water flowing out of my eyes. I've been divorced myself and lost literally "everything" I put into the marriage. What I want you to know is that you are one of the most awesome growers on RUclips and that is a huge advantage for you. You WILL re-grow! This event that you will pass thru will one day be in your rearview mirror, and you will have made a new life for yourself moving forward. I look forward to seeing how you progress and know you will persevere to rise way way above whatever your current situation is . I'm confident you will be 1000% better off "in time." Be gentle with yourself in the meantime and know many are encouraging you for strength. Many will be inspired by whatever plans you make for yourself.
Thank you everyone for all the kind words. I'm doing my best to read through the comments, but there is too many to be able to respond to them individually. But I want you all to know how much you have lifted me up and reassured me. I feel the love
I am so sorry for the turmoil you have been experiencing (I have been there), but know that we will keep following you in your next chapter.
Sending prayers/good vibes ❤
I know you are a stronge individual, hang in there! So sorry you have to go thru this. Take care and God bless, love your new house enjoy!
I pray you find an awesome home and it's a blessing to you and your family.
You are in our prayers. Show us your new place and keep us with updates.
We are very sad to hear this news but wish the best for you, Ian and the kids. We will definitely stay tuned and saying prayers for everyone!😢❤
So so sorry sweet girl! You can do what you need to do‼️😘
Agree, you can do this.
I’ve watched you turn a yard into a food jungle, land into a farm, and a farm into a thriving business. I’ll happily watch you turn your next house into a growing, living, vibrant home for you and your kids. I have complete confidence that you and your children will be able to make the next chapter amazing.
Thought they were both working on farm. So why "you"?
That's a sweet comment! Have a great day!
I agree completely.❤

I would love to watch you slowly transform a new space, with veggies, herbs and flowers that you love the most. I'm excited for you. Not covering over the pain you're experiencing, but also believing 100% that you will find your way through and grow and emerge renewed and stronger. Sending lots of hugs.

What a beautiful comment ! ❤
Please get a good lawyer with your interests the focus. Make sure the lawyer has nothing to do with your husband.

If I were not so far away I would take you in my arms and give you a big hug and just hold you and cry with you and rub your back and tell you will make it through this….like any grandmother would. Sending you hugs and love. It’s going to be ok. You’re smart and driven. Love you, love you, love you. 💕🙏🧸
This was a beautiful comment and even made me cry. So sweet.

Yes, I thought cancer. When someone gets a life-threatening disease it is terrible. Divorce is hard but at least it is not death.
It would be worth checking out from an educational view point.
love this idea...Looking forward to moving along with Sirena as some of us are living this same life and so great that we can support each other!!

Building a new business and perhaps you will have more time to help other flower farmers succeed as you did. All is not lost, be very kind to yourself and your children, find strength in your ability to bounce back and smile. We all love your smile and we will be here for you.
As a farmer I feel like it’s safe to say that farming (while rewarding) is like doing life on “hard” mode. Sending our best to the whole family!
many people do life on hard mode and didnt inherit land to farm . or inherit the money to buy it
@@customcutters yeah that's the vast majority of farmers. but not everyone who has a farm inherited the money to buy the land, some people are tenant farmers, and some people save up and can buy some land through years of slaving away at their careers. i know someone who was renting to a young couple and when he was dying of cancer he sold his small farm to them, way under market value, private sale. some people just get lucky.
I am sorry to hear this as I know it is very difficult for all of you. I have joined your channel today and will continue to watch your videos whenever you are able to post them. I look forward to seeing you build a new garden along with a new life.
Very painful to go through all this. My heart breaks for you all. Sending you positive thoughts and prayers
So sorry to hear this news. God be with you during this time, know that lots of people love you and wish you the best for you and your children.
the best advice I can give you is to get a lawyer even if you have to go into debt to do it.
@@caseyjude5472excellent advice! Lawyer up asap.
Great point.
especially with minor kids involved ffs

❤ YES TO THIS ❤
This announcement is heartbreaking.
Virtual lasagna from Audrey and virtual tacos from me Serena ! 🌮
😂yes to this comment 😂
I just want to make some chicken soup and a sourdough loaf for the fam
Looking forward to seeing and hearing about your new adventures
Love from England 🏴

Absolutely agree, she built the business and I can't believe she has to leave her farm and her home now because Ian decided
I will follow you always. As far as I'm concerned that farm is YOU but you got this !!
Hi there
I have no dog in this fight , but if Ian walks away financially better off than his wife does he’ll be the first man I’ve ever heard of doing so ,
Divorce is never easy , hopefully they can be respectful to each other at least in front of the family
@@davidpattison5860 🙄🙄🙄 no dog except some lovely sexist notions
Sounds like they made a deal. She gets the RUclips channel all to herself, and he gets the farm (that she admits she wouldn't be able to keep up with financially).
I would live to see how you transform your new garden space one section at a time! You got this!!
I do hope you get a good lawyer to make sure all those years of hard work AND know-how you put into a long lasting business are protected
Great advice don’t go to court without legal counsel!!! Protect yourself and the children.
Hi Serina,
I live in the North Okanagan, I'm a high school teacher, and I'm just starting the process of turning my childhood home into a flower farm.
That’s sweet.
I’m in the process of moving out there. I wish us both luck with our growing plans.
It’s hard when the future we wanted and worked for is taken from us, but you got this. You will survive and THRIVE. Rooting for you
Oh Serina, I'm so very sorry to hear this.
I would love to see how you'd start a new garden/flowers in your new place.
Just share your everyday life!! Share the struggles and the joys we will all be here for you!!!! We will all help you through it!! It’s ok to feel lost. A lot of us have been there. ❤❤❤
I’m very excited to see your new space. Will you give us a tour? When do you expect to close? Maybe you can do so,e decorating and DIY videos…
Hello, I’m New here watching and listening. I always give a Thumbs up. Sorry you’re going through this. I’ll add you to my prayers. 😇🙏😇Sharon in SC
So very sorry you are going through this. Lifting you and the entire family in prayer.
