- Throughout the year there has been some amazing cars on the drag strip that I have witnessed first hand at my home track (Santa Pod Raceway) as well as on my annual trip to Malta for the Hal Far Raceway Finals.
I've narrowed down all the cars I've seen this year to just 10, these are my most memorable cars of the year for various reasons be it their sleeper looks, crazy passes or just outright coolness!

That is a damn good partnership! I love seeing what the rest of the world is doing. Kyle should work on partners in Australia and Puerto Rico and Brazil and Sweden and several other great drag racing scenes!

Listen, I know that a lot of lanes crossing is due to torque but some of these fools are just preoccupied with a shift and are not focused.

The lupo must be bent double. The thing crabs down the track. Both subframes must point in different directions. That car will kill its driver. To its owner. Please reshell it. That cannot be fixed. I do a lot of work with chassis set up and dynamics.that thing has serious issues,and its not all down to power output or synchronizing the two drive trains. That is lethal.it will put you in the wall,it will kill you.not if,when. It will kill you.

In the UK, we use mostly the imperial units but we use a mixture of metric and imperial in measurements of length. All our speed limits are in MPH mate.

One of the few things I miss after leaving England are my trips to santa pod :( running the rwyb days have some of my fondest memories. That wind turbine wasn't there last time (10 years ago) for the doubters reading the track is half the skill, the guys do an excellent job of keeping the track dry and running.
stu Art Wind farm appeared a few years ago they’re scattered all over the rear field it was really odd sight at first especially the one right in the middle of the iconic gantry! The track crew are still amazing!

Glad the Camaro was in there that b is sick. Would have been a perfect run for that high 7sec GTR. The and vw golf or whatever hooked and acted predictable unlike many high power awd cars that get sketchy about half track.
The GTR actually never got a clean run this year and constantly had issues with launch control and sensors. That's what the owner said in an interview on Philip Kaess' channel. Hope he'll get the thing to work properly in 2020! Would be great to have a low 7 second or even high 6 second GTR in Europe!

Look at the wheel dip. None of them are lowering the pressure for those drag slicks. That's why there's all that lane crossing happening. No traction because tire pressure is too high. Also someone needs to fire the staging guy.

tnc4700 Each engine is capable of 900hp but cant get the traction, I believe he was running at 600hp per engine when he visited Santa Pod. It’s been into the 8s at its home track in Romania.

tnc4700 yeah that was his first ever time on a proper drag surface, the car usually runs on an airfield so has been set up for that.

Supercharged HEMI It’s a very good track but it depends on the event, some of the cars you see here are running at ‘Run What Ya Brung’ events, if there is a load of cars on treaded tyres the track prep won’t be as intense as an FIA Event or the Doorslammers event where a lot of cars are high powered and on slicks.

The Red Demon Eclipse has 1800hp and its a stick-shift and it runs low 7s at 210+mph. Either that track has no treatment or the dude driving the GTR doesn't know what he's doing.
HookahHawg the track is prepped, I think it’s more to do with the car is a 1/2 mile car so isn’t set up for 1/4 mile

Yes we do, Santa Pod is a 1/4 mile track. Our only full time drag strip.

I don't understand the concept of a wheelie bar on front wheel drive drag cars.
It’s to help with weight transfer, Keeps the weight over the front wheels rather than the front of the car lifting and unloading the front tyres causing wheelspin. It’s a bit of an easy way round to tuning the suspension/chassis.
In my opinion, this very used looking Ford Transit/Lexus powered Worker-Van is 2019 BEST Example of a Sleeper... but the f...ing 79 Mustang was quicker by the way. Claudio Fabian As a continent we don’t have loads of tracks which means less track time and the FWD scene didn’t really take off until recently, there’s a few cars with the potential of going 7s but it’ll take some fine tuning
@@mk1kieran We have the same issue here in South America, besides Velopark in BR, there is not alot of really good tracks.
