I think because of the elite level Straw Hats are fighting right now people like Usopp are underestimated. People like the Flying Six are some of the stongest people in the verse. Yes, Usopp right now is only beating fodder but he's beating the fodder of a Yonko crew, the Beast Pirates. I believe Usopp as he is now could easily beat Mister 4 and Miss Merry Christmas alone without getting hurt like he did.

Also for a lot of what Usopp does Alfonse can just put up a wall to block it then attack Usopp with the wall. Even if Usopp does get a solid hit in, unless he hits the blood seal it won't matter. Usopp's win condition is to be completely out of Al's range and snipe the blood seal which just isn't likely in a fair matchup.
