    You might be able to go to Lowe’s or Home Depot and find some 1 inch aluminum trim or something like that to put on the flap for the ramp. That would save the wood from getting tore up and you some time having to paint it every season

    I added a Noco shoreline plug to charge my 12v Ecoflow 12v lithium battery. You have to get a charge controller to charge it off of your truck.
    I also have a 1000/2000 watt Jupiter pure sine wave inverter in my trailer. I am also going to put a refrigerated cooler and a microwave in it.

    Move the e-track more to the center of the trailer. That will help with the angles. You can drive on them.

    I would set up 2nd trailer still with enclosed for security, keeping equipment out of rain, sun when not used. Helps extend life of kowers and equipment. Plus a rolling billboard for advertising.

    I enjoyed the reevaluation of your trailer, tools, and setup. I agree your next trailer doesn't need to be as complete but it still needs to project the clean professional image of your current trailer. I am sure your will enjoy thinking about how to do that with an open trailer versus deciding to stick with an smaller enclosed trailer. Best wishes.

    Have you considered a ramp rack system for your crew ‘trailers’? I’ve been looking into them but I’m not sure how good they would be.

    Oil drop pads, ,mans best friend. One pad absorbs so much, get the grey ones that absorb antifreeze as well. And they will match your floor lol.

    To stop the chewing up of the edge on the ground for your drop down door, you ever think about adding some aluminum angle (or steel) to protect it. Look at some pig mats for when your in a hurry and dont have time to empty the oil out.

    Kevin you have the nicest trailer I ever seen 👍 great job.

    You might think about a smaller stand on unit that would do those smaller jobs or get through the smaller gates. I think the second larger unit would be good for the second trailer or a backup.

    I use shrink wrap to store my blades.
    Keeps them more secure.

    I bought my first enclosed trailer after 10 yrs in business. I am trying to get everything done before spring, like you. However designing and building at the same time sure is a brain bender. Lol. I'm sure I will move everything a few times before I find the optimal location for things. I too did an epoxy type floor. I did polyaspartic with glow in the dark flake. Totally unnecessary but pretty cool. Thanks for the vid.

    Love the channel. How much run time do you get out of the lights with a 6ah battery?
    Also, how far out do the trimmer racks still out in total? I just got my enclosed and it’s a concern with how far the will stick out. Thanks man.

    *** Tuff Jug makes a 2.5 gallon gas jug/can like you are looking for. Uses same cap/hose set up the 5 gallon ones use.

    You can add bogie wheels to the back corners of the trailer to keep it from dragging on steep driveways.
    If you're going to have employees, you NEED to get the extended tongue

      8.5x 18! we love it it is the perfect size not to small you can carry everything and also not so big you have trouble using it!

      @OffThePathWithKevin thanks for answering, I've been looking at one just a little longer. Anyways it was weird you answered all my questions and concerns towards it. I have a dump trailer and utility, but tired of putting tools in bed and back seat all the time only to remove it later. Would be nice to pull up and be able to do anything with all tools there.

      @@OffThePathWithKevin Is the measurement just the box or does the 18ft. include the V-nose? I'm looking at either a 16ft. or 18ft v-nose trailer. The manufactures I've looking at advise the v-nose is an addition to the posted length. Your videos are a great reference for what I'm looking at. Thanks!

    For me personally cutting grass out of an enclosed gets too hot. Been running a Npr last few years, imo it's better than a utility trailer. Easier to move around, great on gas and is multifunctional, used to haul mulch/dirt etc. Can fit 6-8 yards of mulch depending on type. They have dumping lawn care NPR's with dove tail hitches that's my next move.

    Add a male plug on the outside of the trailer and plug it in at night to charge it back up.

    Just a thought if you are just do a new team of full time mowing think about ramp rack system on a long bed single cab or something like that because employees and trailers are not generally very good friends

    Sure is nice to take them off with it though.

    • @OffThePathWithKevin
      @OffThePathWithKevin  11 дней назад +3

      Scag blades are held on with through bolts you use and impact or you have to use two wrenches to break it as it will just spin in place!

    • @Chris-Hill
      @Chris-Hill 9 дней назад

      Always impact the blades on every time. Lol been in the lawn care industry for nearly 20 years. Never ever had a issue changing blades atleast once a week.
