If I called ACI's Avalon fanservice, what to say of B7R, the Round Table, the most sacred tract of land - or rather, air - in all of Ace Combat? Transplanted into the sweltering Nevada desert, but the red rocks and the angry skies are all there. Granted... it is a bit underwhelming compared to the previous and next missions. Hell, I think Mayhem didn't have enough aircraft to begin with - a rare case where I think AC5 did better than Zero, with Journey Home.
But then again, I'm not sure more enemies would have mattered. This is pure dogfighting, on B7R, with swarms of enemies, an open battlefield with no set objective, and a kitted Typhoon to slice through them. This, my friends, is what Positron does best. Me, I'll just sit back and watch.
And now, four more months until ACI's (sadly) final mission - and crowning moment. Man... I'm really gonna have to think what I'll write in its description, because I might just fangasm if I write from the heart.

The Nevada location is actually genius. Not only does that part of Nevada (Nye County, at 39ºN, 117ºW, as in the briefing) look EXACTLY like B7R... there's a Round Mountain and a Table Mountain in that same mountain range. And it's pretty close to Area 51, for added fun!

Honestly, I still think that as a proof of concept of a multiplayer-only Ace Combat game, it did so spectacularly. I just wish that they continued with the story (and gotten rid of the fuel sortie system and replaced it with a repair system, maybe?) since it genuinely looked fun.
A repair system that encourages you to switch aircraft between missions so that you can keep everything well maintained sounds like fun

Why didn’t they make the multiplayer on ac7 like this? I played so much of infinity. So cool to have fleet battles racing to destroy all targets and pvp. They fell asleep hard
If you heard about AC7's troubled production, the MP mode development was hampered by it

@@walterreyes3722 Project Aces had to fight teeth and claw to be able to finish AC7. We can count ourselves lucky they got to pump it out to a great success.

07 was an Extremely Ambitious game, I guess they shouldn’t of Hyped it Too much or something .
Although I like to think that it Was another test like Assault Except it was good, Now we look forward for Better breathing room and Development
I think of it this way - They Already Put As Much Appeal as Possible without Swaying too far from Franchise Formula In this game Because of Deadline and Recourses . 🤷♂️

A testing ground for new aircraft, how appropriate given that this was my go-to mission for testing new AA-focused planes I got! And sadly, we'll never know Goodfellow's past career.
The mission was also a fun one for sure, everything we need in a good AA engagement, and the Rot skin made it even better here! :P
I don't remember standard missiles hitting like a truck in infinity...

I never actually played Ace Combat Infinity... San Diego base? Do they mean Miramar? If so, that's neat, cause I've been there. But I don't remember seeing experimental aircraft...

I've only ever played Ace Combat 7, this one looks pretty similar as far as UI goes, but seems to be trying to be more... flashy? I guess?
Also seems a lot faster paced, like everything just seems like a sped up version of what I'm used to.
It's a consequence of the game engine. It was originally made for Assault Horizon, which was... a very different sort of game, to put it mildly. Adapting it to classic AC gameplay had that result.
On top of that, as a F2P game, you could improve your aircraft and weapons - and at high levels they were truly ridiculous. Look up gameplay of lv 20 high tier planes, it's insane... and barely playable, IMO.

@@mrandrossguy9871 this was on PS3 only and they had already made the ACAH engine compatible with it... With AC6 they only had an X360 compatible engine, so it would've been more work to replicate it than just reuse the newest one.

Huh that kinda lazy, well Ace06 is still the Smoothest in the series and it’s a shame they haven’t made one similar in smoothness and improved on it .
Kinda makes 360 look superior imo
Project Wingman has similar Graphics and smoothness as 06 !
@@mrandrossguy9871 Yeah I've checked out Project Wingman, it's not bad but I'm not a big fane of how the camera controls.

Sorry if I go off-topic here but: now that the new version of PCSX2 has released, is there enough new interesting stuff for you to start working on an update on the Emulation Guide for the PS2 ACs? Or is it pretty much the same as before?
Pretty much the same as far as AC goes. Easier to tell people to just grab 1.6 rather than delve through dev builds, though.

@@TugaAvenger Our team is working on this issue . And a percentage of the work has been successful. Attempts to hack infinite foil are underway I will let you know whenever the work is done so that you can record a video on this subject and share the download link of the game for those who are interested . Did you watch this 7 aci mission video last year?
You know whats funny its 2020, and while ACI earth dealt with the Ulysses Disaster, we are dealing with a Pandemic. :P
If only Namco helped project aces, we would've gotten MP like infinity.

Why did they have to reuse ACAH visuals, And Basically Whole Engine ?!
Because it's cheaper and more efficient to just recycle than making a new engine from scratch.

@@mrandrossguy9871 Because ACE06/ACAH/ACI textures are ridiculously low quality, pixelated and suffers from mirroring, especially on the bottom fuselage.
Yes. ACI reuse the same textures and UV map from AC6.
@@mrandrossguy9871 Plus, AC6's engine is specifically built for the Xbox 360. It was built by using Microsoft's devkit, and surprise, it's not portable to other consoles.
