time 1988 came around the drug dealers in my neighborhood were millionaires they had suped up BMW'S and guns that were intimidating off site alone, shootouts and killings was a regular, just to give people an idea of how dangerous it was on Cypress Ave here's a couple names Boy George and Puerto Rican Pistol Pete those 2 alone were ruthless and it was a nightmare living in those conditions, waking up to a thud that shook the walls in my bedroom just to see a man thrown off the roof bleeding to death over Crack fortunately I called the ambulance and he survived, it was tough and still have a bearing on me till this day at 52 years old

I was 6 in 88 and had a good childhood I was spoiled and I remember the say no to drugs campaign and Mcgruff the crime dog but it was still far from my actual life. I thank God for my family. Drugs were hidden and never a thought. I thought weed was like the same as crack I was so green 😂 the 80s were my favorite time my childhood was truly a blessing I knew about the hood but I wasn’t around there till I got much older and curious.
