You're correct! It's a synchronous AC pump motor. These are often used as drain pumps for certain appliances like dishwashers and washing machines, sea life aquariums, filtration for swimming pools, which some times have an induction motor alternative, but many filtration systems uses synchronous pump motors and water fountains also use that too aswell. They may also be used in certain condensate pumps but condensate pumps often use shaded pole motors as alternatives. Pretty cool motors though.
Yes this is AC synchronous motors, due its simple contruction and does not require any starting method like capacitor or shaded pole, it is widely used in low torque application like mini water pumps, fans, turntable of microwave oven, electromechanical timers etc. Teardown videos are always my favorite ones.
These are AC synchronous motor, runs at constant speed. But direction is undefined when the motor starts. Sometime, it may start CW, sometime CCW. Hence the impeller blades are straight without any curve/ bent. The pump will work, no matter which direction the motor rotates.

Bhai, Agar coil damage hua to repair nahi kar sakti. We can clean the impeller by removing it. This is the only repair we could do. Always use the pump in completely submerged position. The pump I am using currently is working fine for the last 2 years. Thank you for watching the video.

This motor does not run square wave inverter why? Pls inform me
@@nandhakumar3297 this motor should run with square wave as well. May be the voltage is lesser, which is not sufficient to generate start torque.
