Don't know if it's the video or the locomotive but the locomotive sounds really strange. Just doesn't sound right. Whatever the case, beautiful running with Andre. Thanks Cal!!!
@@alpugliesetrains9753 I'll be honest, I thought it was the video as everything you gentlemen have run has sounded great. Whatever the case, it's a beautiful Loco and another excellent video!
Always gonna have gremlins when you do live videos &/or no editing , might be looking for a mouse too! Nice video Al, watching stuff on Howard’s layout never gets old.
Love it. I do SP cabforwards but also a cpl of Bigboys sneak in LOL. other than that I like my smaller steamers and shay for local things on a small layout i have
I have owned at one time or another just about every Big Boy ever imported which is Paragon, LMB MB Austin, Tenshodo, Olympia, Key, OMI, this one by PCM, and others I may have forgotten, but I have found the best was by Trix. I do have one, but it is in my museum. I love these locos, but my theme is Northeast railroading. Occasionally I'll run a Big Boy along with other locos not in my theme just for the enjoyment factor. Many visitors have commented on my infidelity to proto model railroading, and I have to remind them that the hobby is about fun and nothing else. In addition, I just acquired a Gem Ruby made in 1961. It is a rare collectible but is not a great runner.
Marvelous!!! Which company or importer produced this "Big Boy"? I have only a gorgeous photo of the real "4002", not the model. 😏 It was a nice run despite the glitches. 😊
What a great layout!!! I live in Pocahontas Co WV and will say you got a lot right......just wish we had some Class 1 railroad in the county. Cass is great but some mainline RR would be great. What area of the country are you in? Thanks
Maryland check out Howard's giant 450 photo book on his layout in my Playlist for sale items. You might want to pick up a copy.Hope you subscribe and hit the like buttons
Al excuse my question and I do not mean to be so inquisitive. There is no offense meant but do you guys have regular jobs? I wish I could be there with you guys maintaing Howard's layout and running trains. I'm sure time just slips by when you guys are there?
One of my favorite things about Model Railroading is having fun and telling stories. Thats what this video is all about.

I agree it needs tweeking to many chuffs per revolution and it has a somewhat strange sound

Maybe not big boys but EM-1's must have since that's what Baltimore and Ohio called their 2-8-8-4 steamers.

This was an early broadway limited one when they were precision craft models .Howard weathered it
