Across the Spider-Verse is now my 3rd favorite comic book film of all time, only behind Into the Spider-Verse and The Dark Knight, all 3 of which are in my top 10 of all time (ik 3 comic book films in the top 10). Absolutely loved it

Donald Glover was probably there more so in service of him kind of leading to the creation of Miles Morales. Him wearing a Spider-Man shirt on Community and campaigning to play Spider-Man for the TASM movies, is what got the ball rolling on Miles Morales being created. Glover as The Prowler made the most sense as a way to bring him into the movie. He also did the voice for Miles on a Disney XD show, so he’s been connected to the character for some time now.
