I’ve recently started playing OSU and it’s a lot of fun (clicking circles)I wanna keep doing to improve a lot. I’m wondering is it necessary to get that OSU pen and white keypad that I often see players using or is mouse and keyboard fine for harder levels? Yeah it’s partly because I’m new I think, but I be struggling with 3 and 4 star difficulty but everyone I see using that pen and that white small keyboard is doing like 9 or 10 stars on RUclips videos.

Mouse and keyboard is fine as long as you're not using rubber dome keyboard laptop keyboard is fine tho

Also progress isn't linear however pp farming or if you play maps that you are too far away from your comfort zone will impede improvement
Everything is preference that you will build overtime. As long as you have a keyboard and something to click circles with. It's all you really need.
