Amazing video, we are booked to travel to Luquillo in April 2025. So excited to see the island. I am thinking about packing a travel fishing rod in my checked bag. How are the beaches in Luquillo for fishing?
I haven’t been fishing in years, but people in Puerto Rico mostly fish from piers, bridges and coastal walks. Fishing is frowned upon where people bathe. Besides, I can’t imagine that the fishing would be any good since all the splattering from the people would scare away the fish.
Great video. I was at las Pailas a little over a year ago. I paid for parking but not for admission. Is this new or legal? It seems that the parking spots belong to private properties. Are they charging to use their paths?
Thank you for your kind words. The river belongs to the people of Puerto Rico, but the surrounding properties are private. Hence, the owners have the right to charge for going through their terrain. Furthermore, they provide concrete trails (most of the way), ropes and chains to assist you, plus they keep the place clean and safe. Personally, I feel like the dollar per person is reasonable.
