Agree with your sentiment about being expansion-averse. It's like, why pour gravy on a perfect cake? I'm more prone to exploring a whole new title than I am seeking out expansions to stuff I already love.
I am a solo player and getting fed up with board games monopolizing the dining room table! Anyway, I end up with smaller games and find them more comfortable. Thanks.
Death Angel's a fun game, possibly a bit too easy to win after a while, the expansions mix it up a bit. Sylvion, Onirim and FUSE are really good solo games that I've played quite a bit. I like several of the other ones in the video as well.
This is exactly the list I was looking for, I already share with You the likes for castles of Burgundy, the grizzled and onirim. I would also add oh My goods with Longdsdale expansion. I need yo try the dungeon crawlers. Thanks for your recomendations.
TV frame was irritating; why intentionally reduce the available screen size. Show the games, not just you. Lose the music. Otherwise, really good and interesting video. Thanks!
Any bourbon reviews? I love solo gaming, especially right now with lock downs. Thanks for the video (even though it is older) - some good ideas. Got an updated version with newer releases?
Friday is so far away of being good, clever mechanics but there is absolutely no satisfaction playing that game, I always regret the time spent with it, even after winning.
Loved the list! Space Hulk is amazing. The game that truly got me into solo gaming. So brutal, and it tells an awesome story. I just got one deck dungeon! I can't wait to play it...come on Amazon!
You might also want to check out Hoplomachus Origins if you'd like to try a short no card solo game. It's themed gladiator fighting and you play with poker-like chips.
I also have Friday and I hate so much that game, I mean I win but there is no satisfaction at all playing that game. In my all games preference list is the last followed by Pandemic (the classical Pandemic).
Thank you so much for introducing me to Greenland - it links perfectly with Neanderthal and enables me to recreate literally millenia of human development. Solo!
Really good list. Space Hulk Death Angel and One Deck Dungeon are so cool. I like the look of some of the others on your list. I also like Samurai Spirit, Tiny Epic Galaxies and Dungeon Roll. Small box games are great fun. 😀
The Grizzled is absolutely my favourite one! Greenland seems very very interesting 😍 Thanks for a Top 5 list which includes small games in small boxes and also at an affordable price! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
great video! the background music is a bit distracting. maybe less energetic? trying to listen to your thought out reviews when head bopping, jangly swedish pop sounding music competes is hard.
I don't mind, but why even bother putting a number on this video? It was a top 5 which is actually a top 9 with an extra bonus 4.5! I found it humourous.
I'm kind of new to Star Realms. Could you put up the name of the expansion(s) that add the boss cards and a link to the rules set you're using? Thanks!
Interesting and informative. I am only a solo gamer and also on a budget so this is a great video you've put up. Thanks so much!
mdcs1992 thanks so much. I'm so glad it was helpful. thank You for the kind words. have a great night!
Great list! I'm just getting into solo gaming and the setup & game time isn't something that''s brought up a ton, but it makes a difference.
Agreed, nick!
i saw the first 5 sec of your video .. and i love it already ... your idea with the TV Frame is more than great .. its super awesome :D

Great list. Was going to sell death angel but you have convinced me to keep it! Thanks!
Thanks so much and Im so glad! I bought the expansions for it and it really made it versatile. Have fun!
Boardgames Bourbon still on the look out for the last 2 expansion packs, wish me luck!
You narrowly avoided a heretical act. Avenge your battle brothers.

Wow, you are pretty awesome if death angel is easy! My win percentage is looooow!
Curious...I'm a pretty seasoned Death Angel tactician, but me and a sharp newbie lost 7 TIMES IN A ROW the last time we played. Easy to win?

Totally agree about the role of expansions. Want to get a copy of Greenland, seems a nice game. Thanks for the video!
Rodrigo Zouss thank you rod!

I think Youll be happily surprised with One Deck. Also, if you go to their website, they already have an extra character and boss for download. Enjoy!
You might also want to check out Hoplomachus Origins if you'd like to try a short no card solo game.

FRIDAY was a total waste of my money. Didn't like the art, didn't like the game-play. There was just nothing there to hold my attention.
I also have Friday and I hate so much that game, I mean I win but there is no satisfaction at all playing that game. In my all games preference list is the last followed by Pandemic (the classical Pandemic).

Wha'ts the best board gaming Bourbon?

Tiny Epics are definitely games i need more experience with. Samurai Spirit totally slipped my mind. Good call!
The Grizzled is absolutely my favourite one! Greenland seems very very interesting 😍

You are very welcome! Hopefully more vids like this to come!
😍😍😍
Death Angel is one of my favorites solo games too. :)
So good!
4.5? You might as well have done a top 10.
eventually ill turn a top 100 into a top 3 : )
Need to find ODD.
Miklos Fitch definitely a fun game for the price. good times. have a great night!
Great video!

thanks for the advice. Have a great day!

Clinton i would love to! I really dont have too many expansions so Id have to save up for a bit before I do. Great suggestion though. Thank you!
Boardgames Bourbon No, I mean, could you say what they are so that those of us who are interested can go out and get them?
Perhaps listing game mechanics and terms would've helped. I own half this list and the descriptions felt foreign and convoluted.
Damn !!!
