Our house was built in 1961, and the kitchen was still in that era when we purchased it. However, regardless if the ugly, it was large, it had a great layout, and we saw the beauty in it once we would reno it. Now I have a large, lovely, updated kitchen!

I guess you like those old-fashioned kitchen units. I would have covered over the moulding on the doors and drawer fronts for a more modern look. I like your island and white worktops.
I sadly wish my wife had a quarter of the motivation you do. I have absolutely been on fire wanting to rennovate our home. Everything from doing flooring, painting, recessed lighting, front door, attic insulation and a/c duct work. I want to redo the kitchen with all new cabinets, flooring, paint, and appliances. But working all day, coming home to a cluttered house, and all talk and no action have just flat out worn me out and completely discouraged me.... i just don't get it and thought anyone would be excited like you are about renovating your own house

We did not paint the inside of cabinets but yes the back of doors.. you can buy new doors only!!
