Alex there is a bit of an editing issue with this video. The section in the Z has effectively the same words twice with different pictures both before and after the track section.

This video is probably the first one dedicated to talking about tires on this channel. I was surprised to see it. I think tires are really interesting! Please have more tire videos!

I definitely like the tech that goes into tires gives the consumer more options on what to buy

I had to buy tires during the supply chain drama and Potenza S-04s were basically the only thing available for my GLI. It's the first time I've ever owned summer tires and the difference is worth it. Happy to see these types of videos in the lineup!

Wish the RE71RS were made in the size I need, though may not be too much in it versus the new Nankang CRS I just received. Will find out how those perform in a few weeks, but initial reviews seem quite positive.

Alex.... Please do a Goodyear Tire lineup!! UTQG best rated. For all or the majority of us daily drivers!! My tire choice since 1979!

I have a set of Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+ on my Mazda 3, and they compete with the Potenza Sport AS. Idk about the Bridgestones, but the Contis are really good tires. It was between the Michelin PS4 AS and the DWS06+ and I’m glad I went with the Contis. I expect the Bridgestones to be in third place against the Michelin and Conti, or maybe 4th behind the Yokohamas. Bridgestones usually aren’t rated too well on TireRack except for their well-known tires like the RE71RS.

My car currently has Bridgestone turanza tires
What are some good tires to upgrade to in the future? My criteria is that it has to have excellent sports / performance car like sticky grip , should give a smooth ride, be quiet inside and most importantly i certainly don’t want run flats. And I live in the west coast where it doesn’t snow.
    Michelin or Bridgestone?

I'm still convinced that this is just Technology Connections on wheels.

One way to spot a “petrolhead” is if they care enough about their tires to both fit a full matching set to their vehicle and also shop for ties not just based on cost.

My only experience with Bridgestones are the ones that came on my Subaru Forester XT and my VW GTI. They were awful tires except in the wear department. I decided I was not going to put up with noisy, slip slidy things until they wore out on the GTI. I was so irritated with them I decided not to move up the Bridgestone ladder. Not fair I know. Replaced them after a year with Michelin Cross Climate 2 and what a wonderful difference.

i have little to no interest in bridgestone’s “potenza”. michellin and yokohama for life. at least the bridgestones aren’t as bad as pierelli?
