The type of stealth with the "you vs the world, but more difficult than this" sounds like my experience with Sir You Are Being Hunted. That game certainly isn't perfect, and honestly only worth it on sale. but enemies were more intimidating in that game, inventory management was more constrained, and you cant reliably take on more than a few enemies at a time without a lot of planning and traps. There's actually a sense of satisfaction to ambushing a search party with bear traps and the few bullets you have. However that game does suffer from lack of cohesion and more shallow mechanics.
The Godfather games, many Lord of the Rings games, Mad Max (technically didn't tie in but came out at the same time as Fury Road), Harry Potter 1-3 on PC...

Damn minimme, you've peaked my interest in the kinda of games you mentioned at the very beginning. So if you don't mind me asking, which of those games would you recommend playing, or at least aren't a pain to hunt down copies of? Thanks in advance bruh
Didn't he said deadly dozen? Similar games could be ghost recon 1, delta force, operation flashpoint (now arma cold war or something), project IGI or something. They tried to turn Soldier of Fortune 2 in something like that and failed.
For me I think Hidden and Dangerous 2 is probably the best of them - that would be a good place to start. The first Operation Flashpoint is a good choice too, and yeah I'm partial to Deadly Dozen which I made a (very old) review of if you're interested.
Delta Force 2 was pretty awesome, not played it in years or hunted it down though so not sure how easy it is to find now. Bearing in mind when it came out it's very impressive though, with massive (almost infinite) draw distances thanks to being voxel-based rather than pixel-based.. This also adds a lot of jank to the graphics, but at the time was a tradeoff I much preferred. For example, if you lie in grass, the grass isn't just a sprite that disappears at a distance, someone looking at you from across the map would also see the grass. Weird example but one of the things that made my immersion in the game and its multiplayer really good
Picked it up couple of days ago at a local electronic store in the sales bin for 4,99 Euro. I completely agree with everything you said about the game in your video, a true underdog game that is surprisingly good with a few minor hiccups that stops it from being great. For a Terminator game it was everything it needed to be.
PS: Yep, it's way too easy after a while.
This reminds me of the graphically impressive Unreal Engine 3 mod from years ago that never really progressed beyond a trailer.
I remember when this game came out and IGN review gave it a unfavorable review. When you say that this game is shit on easy, it makes sense to me.
Will definitely check this out when it is on sale.
I’ve had this on top of my GameFly list for a while. I can’t wait to try it!
Hacking minigame is frogger? I'm sold.
Based on your description, this game makes me think of Metro Exodus. Makes me want to check it out.
Can you do a review of the warriors for ps2? The best movie tie in game imo.
You should review the other Terminator games. I’d love to hear you talk about them in detail.
The first Operation Flashpoint is a good choice too, and yeah I'm partial to Deadly Dozen which I made a (very old) review of if you're interested.
minimme Thanks! I’ll look into some of those sometime; I’ve always loved slow-paced open-ended missions, but couldn’t get into something like Arma
But cool nonetheless and much better then the last few movies :D
Whoaaaa this game actually looks like a polished fps. I have no idea how I didn't hear about this game, but then again, I still haven't even played crysis.
my description for this game: best terminator game, the rest is up to you to get used to.
Best reviewer out there!
you are amazing sir
Personally I feel like the critics were much too hard on this game. At the end of the day it's solid, and really holds a candle to the terminator franchise in a way we've not seen for a very long time. I loved how the story tied in to that of the films so effortlessly, and the ending is just so neat I can't help but love it
